Business / How To Start A Mini Tutorial Business As A Nigerian Student by royalads: 2:33pm On Apr 30, 2017
One of the ways I made money when I was a student was to conduct tutorials for juniors in my department for a little fee. Trust me, I was not the most intelligent student in my department, but I was smart enough to key into this business idea and I made real money from this business. In this post, I will tell you how I was able to set up this business and how you too can start up this business today.
The tutorial business involves teaching students some subjects which they find quite difficult. You don’t need to be the brightest student in your class to start business. But a little knowledge of the course you teach will go a long way to help you out.
Why You Need To start a Tutorial Business As A Student
1. It is Very Easy To start: This is technically one of the easiest business you can start as a student and make money. All you need to do is to reach out to students who are a level below you to make money. Even as a graduate, you can also do this business.
2. Small Capital requirement: This business is not capital intensive. Most times you may not need to rent a location for the tutorials. I had to use one of the classrooms to hold the tutorials. I only spend less than N1000 in printing out my details, and invitation paper which I shared to students.
3. You Can Make Much Money: I was charging students N200 per week to teach them this particular course and I had over 70 students attending at a time. Also I charged them N100 to teach them a GSS course. I was making some cool money every week.
How To Start A Tutorial Business As A Nigerian Student
1. Decide The Course You Wish To Teach: You need to decide the course you need to teach the students. Which course did you enjoy most when you were in the said level? This will give you a clue of the course you can take. Also, you must not necessarily teach the course personally. There was a time I arranged with the most intelligent student in our class then. He comes in 3 times a week to teach a particular course and I paid him weekly for that.
2. Choose A Location: It will be best if you chose a location inside the school. But if it is not possible, choose a location that is very near the school. The tutorial can be held 3 times a week for 2 hours daily. So you may not need to pay much in terms of rent.
3. Advertise Your Business: You need to create awareness for your business to attract students. How did I create my own awareness? I visited one of the business centers around. Asked them to design a black and white leaflet for me. The leaflet contained my details, the course I was to teach, amount to be paid and the location for the tutorial. They printed 1 copy of the leaflet and made a photocopy of 100 copies. I took the leaflet back to the department, and met with the Course Rep of the class. I gave him a little tip (naija tings) for him to help me share the leaflets to all his classmates. I also collected a list of all the students and send each of them a bulk SMS of the upcoming tutorial. Trust me; the result I got was mind blowing.
This is exactly how I started my own tutorial business. Try it out today and give me feedbacks.
Sharing is Sexy!!!!!

Career / Re: What's The Best Campus For A Foreign Law Student Interested In Corporate Law? by royalads: 8:38am On Apr 02, 2017
@op. are you asking for the best campus for law school for foreign students? all foreign students are posted to abj campus after completing their BAR 1 program.
If you are asking for the best City to start up as a Corporate lawyer (meaning you've been called to the Nigerian BAR) then I think Lagos is your best bet (though the competition is stiff there) followed by abuja if you have the capital and network to start off.

Webmasters / 5 Ways To Drive Traffic To Your New Blog by royalads: 9:17pm On Feb 22, 2017
In Internet marketing, organic traffic is web traffic that comes from listings that aren’t paid for.

These listings can include guides, search engines like Google or Bing and directories. Typically, when you want to make money blogging, search engines are the best source of organic traffic.

Below are 5 smart ways to drive traffic to your blog or website.

Deliver Quality Content

One of the easiest ways in internet marketing to drive organic traffic is to deliver quality content to your readers.

This is not only more appealing to visitors but it also gives them a reason to explore your site further.

In addition to quality writing, it’s also important to choose your keywords. It’s best to use the keywords in the first and last 100 words of the article.

Take care not to stuff your page with keywords, however, as most search engines penalize that.

Search Engine Optimization

When it comes to SEO, there isn’t a definitive list of dos and don’ts because search engines are constantly evolving. Fortunately, there are a few key points to consider when you want to make money blogging.

A great headline that includes your keyword is important, as are alternate text for images, outbound and inbound links and a concise permalink with no stop words (or, to, the, etc.).

A keyword density of 1% to 2% is best and there are numerous SEO plugins you can use such as SEOPressor or WordPress SEO.

Build Natural Backlinks

Natural backlinks are another important way to drive organic traffic and make money blogging.

In the internet marketing world, natural backlinks are links your blog receives on its own without help from the site owner.

These links are generally from sites that enjoy the blog’s content. Obviously building natural links isn’t a simple task.

It takes dedication, great content and constant promotion via social media and other platforms. While it may be time consuming, the payoff is definitely worth the effort.

Internal Linking

Another great way to boost organic traffic to your blog is to link to internal posts on your site.

This helps search engine bots to find your site’s content faster and more efficiently, which in turn makes it easier to make money blogging.

Most importantly, it allows your visitors to find the information they are looking for which reduces the bounce rate and increases page views.

This task can be automated by using a variety of plugins that are available for internet marketing purposes. These plugins use an algorithm to figure out the best page on the site to link to, based on the subject of the post.

Exposure on Social Media

One of the many factors search engines use to decide page rank is social media authority.

The more exposure your blog has on sites like Facebook or Twitter the higher your rank in the SERPS will be.

In order to best utilize social media and make money blogging, it’s necessary to offer a variety of sharing options for your visitors. Social media plugins can help you choose the most appropriate sharing buttons for your page, which will be found alongside of your content. Since many social media sites have millions of users they are a gold mine when it comes to internet marketing so use them well.

It’s never been easier to make money blogging provided you follow the guidelines above and do your due diligence. If you are willing to put in the work, your blog will be making money in no time.

As a blogger, you already know that Google AdSense is one of the biggest player in the ads industry. To say that AdSense has the highest paying rate in click adverts is not an exaggeration. Education / Top 10 Ways To Make Money As A Nigerian Student by royalads: 7:52pm On Feb 15, 2017
Due to the intensity of school work in our higher institutions, students are now left with no choice, than to choose one between business or school work. Nevertheless, i have done a little research and compiled a list of businesses, which Nigerians student can do, to help them financially during their stay in school.

Below are the 10 ways to make money as a Nigerian student.

Make money photocopying your school handout/past questions:

I use to do this personally while I was still a student, until i got better business ideas, and i upgraded. Since I have a strong HP 3in1 printer, all i do is to find past questions, gather the useful ones (3 years) then i photocopy it and sell in class to my fellow colleagues. And if am to tell you the truth, though the money was small, i was able to eat comfortable and survive a whole semester, when my parents received no salary for 3 months.

Selling Used Products on Classified Ads (OLX) or Jiji :

You can make recurrent cash helping people to sell their used or unwanted materials on Classified ads(OLX, JIJI, MOBOFREE). I personally employ this method about 5 times every month, and am proud to say, i back home nothing less than ₦8000 per month. I charge an average of ₦1500 for each product that i’m helping people to sell and sometimes, i’m been giving extra ₦500 for the kind did.

Offer to Teach Fellow Students on an Hourly Basis:

Though i didn’t give this a try, virtually all brilliant dude in the university as made one money or the other when they teach their fellow colleagues. Though the money might be quite small, the fact is, the more you teach the more you know. You can as well hold private lessons in the evening. Simply put some notes on the university hallways offering personal tutoring services and ask for a good rate.

Use Your God Given Skills to Make Money:

Are you good in writing essays, drawing diagrams or portraits? Do you know how to do makeup, why not offer this service for a fee? Today, many people forget or look down on them -at the end of the day, they graduate from school and start hopping from one place to another looking for jobs that needs you to become James Bond in order for you to get them.

Use your Internet Savvy Skills to Make Money:

You can make cool cash by facilitating the registration of students for Post-Ume examinations. For those who aren’t internet savvy. You could also help them do their course registration for a fee.

Provide AD Services:

Talk to any organization which you think would like to have their presence felt in the university. Offer them an opportunity to advertise their goods and services on a branded shirt. You can also partner with foreign companies and outsiders by being there ambassador in your school. One of my friend was a google student ambassador.

Blogging:

I want to believe you already know what a blog is. And I want to believe you already know the ways it can be used to make money. Though this is a business one can do with little or no capital, but when it is brought up as a money making venture, the first image that first comes up is Google Adsense. Well, for your information, that’s just a tip of the iceberg when it comes to making money at home without cash. You could sell adspace directly to advertisers, sell a service, advertise banners of local businesses etc. The opportunities are basically limitless. But I don’t have a laptop yet? You can start with an Android phone!!!! Yes, just set aside some little money for data subscriptions.

Sign up for Swagbucks:

Do you love surfing the nets? Swagbucks is another way you can earn money online. Swagbucks pays you for watching videos online. You simply do this by installing an add-on to your browser and you’re good to go.

Use Youtube:

Are you good in modeling or dancing? Then YouTube is a platform to make good money when you post videos of your post online. The video uploaded should include your dancing or make-up techniques. By so doing you increase the chances of people viewing your upload. As people get to see your video -you make money if you have a youtube account. It’s so easy. Just create amazing content consistently, and you’ll be rolling in traffic. I’m just kidding. Even if you know what you’re doing, content marketing takes a lot of work. But it can pay off in a big way.

Laundry:

Many people don’t have time to wash their clothes, and they won’t mind paying others to do it for them. Instead of not having something to do, why not consider this? Between, many things we think are ‘degrading’ are actually profitable. Just have the right thoughts!!!!Are you looking for businesses that can be done in Nigeria with little capital? Here you are. Do more researches. Pray to God to help you. And, do something!!!!!!

As we already known these days most Bloggers monetize their blogs the use of Adsense commercials (the fine advertising and marketing platform for both advertisers and publishers), but at identical time some find it hard to receive their earnings to Nigerian financial institution money owed. The technique of payment used earlier than is through Paypal which is not proper in Nigeria before Adsense think of making matters less difficult for Nigerian Publishers to obtain their income.

I started this as a challenge, but I think it will be more beneficial to many people if I turn it to a blog tutorial. So I will make my updates in installments as usual as my time permits. So by the end of the whole installments, you should be able to make basic Youtube Videos, monetize them with Google advertisement, learn other methods you can use to monetize your videos and make more money. Follow me through as we go through this journey. For this installment, I will talk about picking a niche and creating a Youtube Channel.
How To Make Over $50 Daily From Youtube In Nigeria in 2017 (Part 1)
Pick A Niche: The very first step towards making money on Youtube is to pick a niche. Most persons think that it is just Bloggers that need to work with a niche. To be a successful Vlogger, you need to pick a niche and grow the niche. What is a niche? A niche is more like a topic of interest to you. Example it could be health, weight loss, fitness, diet. One good way to find your niche is to ask yourself which topic or area do you have a little more knowledge on than the average Jack on the street? It could be that you are a makeup freak, you can build a niche on that and make videos that teach people how to perfect their makeups. So take out a little time to think about a niche before going to the next steps in this post.
Set Up A Youtube Channel: After You have picked a niche, the next step is to set up a new Youtube channel. The process of setting up a Youtube channel is quite straight forward.
Visit the www.youtube.com site and click on the ‘Sign up’ button at the topmost right hand of the page.
You can use your old Gmail account to log in or create a new Gmail account for Youtube project.
After you log in, Click on the ‘Profile Icon’, and the go to ‘Settings’.
You will find the option for ‘Create a Channel’ click on that option
You can opt to use your personal name or a business name for your channel.
Enter your Channel name. Check the ‘I agree’ button and click on ‘Done’
Bravo, you now have yourself a brand new YouTube channel.
Remember to choose a name that is Similar to your niche. You don’t want your Youtube channel to have a car name affixed to it while your niche is on Makeup. That will be misleading and will make you lose a lot of potential viewers and money.

@ibiGirl. I bought a non hosted AdSense from my friend sometime last year. You can share an AdSense account with a trusted friend. There are many video making softwares around both free and paid ones. Personally I will make use of PowerPoint and fxvideomaker.

Business / Re: My Journey To Making 50 Dollars Daily From Youtube by royalads: 8:49pm On Jan 02, 2017

2. A video making software.
3. Choose a niche.
4. A Google AdSense account
5. An affiliate account preferably with click bank.
6. Enough data.
7. Self discipline.
