Righteousness2: That is life for you.
This is why we hammer on the need to prepare for Eternity because that is real life.
Life here on earth is just a temporal thing. Eternity is forever and ever.
Don't allow the few years you have here on earth to destroy yours forever and ever. Live in the Consciousness of your Eternity.
If you will make Eternal life in Heaven, you must Believe and Surrender to JESUS Christ as your LORD and Savior. How you gon live for eternity chanting the same thing and not going crazy? Life here provides choices, bad or good. But Heaven! That's gotta be horrible. You got gold you can't spend, you wear crowns you ain't kings. No choices, no dying, no breaks. Immortality isn't bliss. |

Kobojunkie: 1. You and I don't obviously believe in the same God hence your deity is not my deity. So, Kindly get back to simply answering the question asked instead of writing these epistles to nowhere.
A. So, in believing in your deity, you do not need to obey him as he requires nothing from you and gives you nothing since all you have is meaninglessness to contend with, right?
2. Please avoid fhe many time wasting rehearing and try to stick to subject abeg!
B. If there is nothing but meaninglessness with your deity, what exactly would there be to be scared of? Why even bother acknowledging the existence of the deity, to begin with, if it all amounts to meaninglessness for you?
3. What deity created all yet preferring one tribe?
If you are trying to assert this of the God of Israel, then I am afraid you are mistaken as His plan from even before He conscripted the descendants if Israel was to save people from every language, every tribe and every nation for Himself by using Israel.
4. If you are referring to that written in the National Constitution that is written to have been given by God to the people of Israel, then , again, I am afraid you misconstrue the essence of that Law to the people. That Constitution was designed with many of the same Laws of engage that existed at the time between Nations. The Egyptians, Babylonians,Philistines, Hittites nations of the time had pretty similar laws in the own constitution if you looked carefully. So why not the Nation of Israel?
God added His forever laws, to what seemed the typical Constitution of a Nation at that time, with promise that if the people would diligently obey Him by adopting and obeying the Constitution, He would raise them above all other nations of the earth. And we all know how that has been going so far.
5. I don't follow at all.
6. He didn't change at all. Nor did He suddenly decide to save the other tribes either.
Look, all this does is reveal is you have never in fact read the book without blinders on. Try it someday and you might be shocked.. Okay |

Kobojunkie: 1. So, in believing in your deity, you do not need to obey him as he requires nothing from you and gives you nothing since all you have is meaninglessness to contend with, right?
2. If there is nothing but meaninglessness with your deity, what exactly would there be to be scared of? Why even bother acknowledging the existence of the deity, to begin with, if it all amounts to meaninglessness for you? I don't believe in my deity. I do not need to believe in a deity. I DON'T HAVE A DEITY! A deity is usually tailored to the culture and tradition of a people... This explains why every tribe or people has deities they worship, use to mark events, and try to explain natural phenomenons around these deity/deities their stories are tied and cultures are empowered, and I must add that as knowledge grow the deities become smaller just as they absorb deities of other people who they suppose are more powerful. Most cultures are polytheistic. Humans had attributed every unexplainable thing to different deities but the idea of a singular deity, which we see in Abrahamic religions was not original. That's why Christians dance around when asked to explain the Trinity and even the devil, who had enough power to try and overthrow God, in three persons. Everything you have, your perception of good or bad is solely yours to make. There are options laid before you, you are not going to be judged for killing a person who tries to kill you or stealing to get your family treated when nobody cares. Behind the concept of crime are love and goodness. Even jealousy is sponsored by self-love. These are basic things we should have come to acknowledge but when they continually drum into our ears that some things are bad, we should take out time to examine the concept of good and bad. So, if you are nurtured to think a woman wearing trousers is bad, then you see a man wearing skirts you would find it an abomination. They are neither bad nor good. Your perceptions solely stem from indoctrination. Just as some people scream against animal cruelty but eat meat. Fear remains a tool by which humans are controlled. If fire had burned your hand, you will learn not to put your hand in it, you don't fear it, but have a better understanding of it. It is very interesting to note that most things humans fear are not real, but stem from imagination, anxiety, and irresponsibility. Humans aren't supposed to live in fear. Just as the bible says the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom then turn around to say love the lord your God... One should ask why you fear what you love and not being dumped in an asylum. However, you think of life and the decisions we make, we must understand that everything has no meaning just a bunch of experiences we get from our choices. Here are a few questions: How is it that God who created all tribe prefer one tribe over others? How would you justify the Godly act and command of killing off children or making virgins slaves for his favorite tribe? While you answer, think about the perception of those people he hurt of the God of Israel, then of New Testament All Loving God, if you were one of those hurt. After that, show why the unchangeable God of Israel decided to redeem other tribes in the world? Did he grow love for them or did he not know to have compassion on sinners? |

Kobojunkie: 1. Notice how you don't really answer the question asked?
I asked if it isn't the one creator of good that also created evil? Is there more than one creator?
2. If you don't believe in the deity described in scripture, that is fine. No need to pitch your deity against any others. Simply asking questions here to ascertain your belief is all.
3. You "create" all these things, all of which eventually end up in the landfill, polluting the sea and earth with no end in sight - this is the meaning of existence? This what amounts to a cycle of meaningless is what you consider the meaning of life? 1. Nothing can exist without the creator. 2. I don't believe, I know. 3. Yes, life is meaningless. You only give it meaning by choosing or doing whatever you desire. What is the meaning of life to you? |

Kobojunkie: 1. So is there more than one creator, is that what you believe? Recall this started off as a question regarding the creator of evil. When you say God, everyone looks at Christianity. But the God of Israel is localized, it is only given to interpretations by the jews, he is no different from how Odin is to the Vikings or Zeus to the Greeks. I should have made that clearer... So, there is the Creator. The Creator is not only genderless but doesn't pick one over another, nor punishes, being that good and evil are the same thing but polarized, none is to be rewarded or punished for. 2. This all still doesn't make sense to me. I pitched the creator against God i.e God of Israel. 3. To know what? Recreate what? How do you recreate who you are when the version that is you is the one you work with until you die? To explore, do whatever you may, recreate and create anything you want of your life. You may not understand how powerful the mind is. You see the mind brings about everything from the cars to shirts.[/quote] |

Kobojunkie: 1. Is there more than one creator or what? The Creator is not the God of Israel. Some people adopted Jehovah and called him God. Follow my law or be punished is religion. No matter how they wrap it up in fancy nylons. If you believe life exists as a test, a trial, a period of putting you through your paces to see if you are “worthy,” theologies begin to make sense. If you believe that life exists as an opportunity, a process through which you discover or reinvent yourself then theologies seem insane. If you believe God is an ego-filled God who requires attention, adoration, appreciation, and affection—and will kill to get it—your theologies start to hold together. If you believe that the Creator is without ego or need, but the source of all things, and the seat of all wisdom and love, then theologies fall apart. If you believe that God is a vengeful God, jealous in His love and wrathful in His anger, then theologies are perfect. If you believe the Creator is a peaceful, joyous in Her love and passionate in Her ecstasy, then theologies are useless. I tell you the purpose of life is not to please God. The purpose of life is to know, and to recreate, Who You Are. |

You can not give what you do not have is The Law
Therefore, as the Bible shows God has Eyes, Ears, Feet, Face, Mouth, Moves, Sits, Gets pleased or gets Angry etc.
And as the mannequin proves, you can give it many of your attributes without being subject to its laws.
So you see, you are talking from a place of low knowledge. If God has form, is he still everywhere? And if he has a male form, how is he a father without a female? |

Kobojunkie: 1. But God is creator of all things meaning Evil was also created by God. Let me indulge you a bit... I know it might be disagreeable if went outside the bible... Isaiah 45:7, I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things ...2. Wrong! God gave men a Law, Jesus Christ, and serving God, as God made clear from the beginning of scripture means obeying God's Law. Same way you would obey the Law of the land you live in, God calls on men to serve Him through trust and obedience of His Law. . Moses ran from Egypt because he committed a crime of murder. Man had laws before God's ten commandments and guess what... The same law giver broke the law... Love your neighbor as thyself he commanded. The next thing, we read his command to his followers to wipe out the Canaanites, they were not just their neighbors but kinsmen. [Religion, however, is based, not on but the delusions of individuals, with no clearly defined boundaries and jurisdictions. As long as a God demands to be worshipped that is religion... It's cool to imagine that the proper example of how we should live is Jesus, but where was his compassion when his father killed children and wiped out nations? |

I don't believe I am on Nairaland.com... I know. I know there is a creator but he is not in my image, having nyash or sitting somewhere... that will mean that the creator is within his creation, thereby suggesting he is subjected to his creation... Instead, I know the creator is the All and everything exists within the All... It is laughable that a being God created could attempt to overthrow Him. I know that Yahweh, the self professed god of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob was adopted by a government and was christened God- a Norse word, Germanic. I know that religion is a tool in the hands of the political class and elite. I know the bible is not factual, neither is it without discrepancies or plagiarized history and legends. E plenty... |
