plaindealer:

Sadly for you, Jona that you voted for and supported and still supporting with all his PHD was the most useless and incompetent president in the history of Nigeria, a worthless president that accumulated the largest oil wealth in the history of Nigeria, more than any president ever, but after 6 years in office, he did not commission anything meaningful, no road, no bridge, no hospital, no refinery, no electricity, nothing, just looting and stealing and sharing for 6 years.

So, exactly what did Nigeria benefited from Jona's PHD?

Meaning what? Don't really like going into a comparison between the present Nigerian government and past administrations, but I don't think what you typed is necessary.
The whole country is feeling hence complaining about the present economic hardship in Nigeria which is no doubt due to the policies of the managers of the economy and all you can do is to defend the hardship by bringing in past economic managers.
Agreed Jonathan was a disaster, but was the Nigerian economy so disastrous like now under him?
What magical touch did he had that the country's economy kept growing as he looted?
So, the more he loot, the more the economy grew?
Does the current transparency in both governance and economic management translate to the economic hardship we are currently experiencing?
what magical touch does the present government have, that their integrity and transparency in government has taken us to two economic recessions in five years?
what efficiency in economic management has weakened our naira, not just against the dollar but also, against other African countries' currencies? what a shame!
Just take a look at where the prudent and efficient management of our oil resources has taken the price of PMS per liter to. It's quite unfortunate!
What about inflation? Or you are not concerned about the current prices of things in the market.
What about the rate of unprecedented job loss? Has it ever been this bad?
Have you taken a look at the general level of insecurity in every part of the country? Oh! My God! it indeed calls for a sober reflection! Sure, we have not had it this bad in Nigeria.
So, are we truly better of now as a country?
It's not about Jonathan or Buhari's government. It's about where we are and where we are heading as a country.

Crime / Re: 4 Bandit Leaders Repent In Katsina, Surrender Their Weapons (Photo) by Roysnickz: 9:40pm On Apr 08, 2021
Neutralobserver:
It would be good if all these bandits go to jail....or get killed...but let's be honest, at some point, we would have to offer some form of amnesty to these bandits.

Now before you all abuse me, let me tell you about a guy from Liberia named General Butt N'KD. This guy was responsible for the deaths of 20000 people, and confessed to canibalisim, and actual human sacrifice. Where is he now? Free...and wandering around. A pastor even. He got rehab and got free.

At some point, we have to offer rehab for these bandits, Boko, IPOB, millitants, etc...whether Nigeria splits or remains united. We offered ammnesty for Niger Delta millitants, who I should remind you blew up pipelines, stole our oil money for themselves, and engaged in kidnapping, and even killing. Today, most of them are free and walking around. Personally, I think they should be in jail. But they aren't..and most, not all, are in 'honest professions'

Same for these bandits. Either we offer them some form of rehab and reintegration, or we jail them and harden them the more, or we kill them and raise the possibility of unending revenge cycle. For me, I would put these people in a jail in the Sahara, with limited water and food, and with roofless cells, so that they can spend the rest of their misreable lives rotting in the hot sun and dust. But this world is not perfect. The General Butt N'KDs of this world are many. Sadly we can't get rid of all of them...so rehab, and hope that at least for 60% of them it would change them, and we can worry about the remaining 40%. But kill them, or jail them...and we risk rasing a new generaltion of mad terrorists....(at least we can jail the unrepeantant ones...no one would complain.,...they offered you amnesty, you behaved like a stiff necked person)

Welcome to planet earth. I don't like living here sometimes.
I bet to disagree with you completely by comparing the current bandits, Fulani heldsmen and Boko Haram to the Niger Delta agitators. The latter clearly had an ideology and fought for their right.
The whole Niger Delta people wanted a fair share from revenue accruing from the sell of oil, and I think this was reasonable enough... Those boy just fronted the agitation of the Niger Delta people.
Come to think of, do you really consider what that region pass through because of the present of crude oil? do you realize how difficult it is to get portable water in the region courtesy of crude oil? Do you consider the challenges they face in agricultural cultivation of the land because of crude? Do you realize how much it cost to construct a kilometer of road in that region compare to the Northern region, all because of crude? Sure, they have the oil but the oil comes with it perculier challenges.
The challenges are quite many and they fought the government to look into those. The responsible government of former president Yar' Adua did responded good by given back a little of the proceeds from the sell of crude to the Niger Delta people and the rest is history.
Now you tell me what is the ideology of the bandits, Fulani heldsmen and Boko Haram? What are they fighting for? What is their grievance with the government? Where are they cheated. Which of their assets or resources is the Nigerian government taking from them or making money from that the government is not giving them a little back?

Romance / Re: When A Nigerian Lady Says She Wants A "God-fearing Man", This Is What She Means by Roysnickz: 2:21pm On Mar 31, 2021
PrimadonnaO:
".

A God-fearing man is not an overly-religious man! That makes it sound like something negative. You're the one who has got the meaning all skewed up! Either you don't know what it means to be God-fearing or you decided to exaggerate.

I can't speak for everyone. But I want a God-fearing man. When I say I want a God-fearing man, I want a man who's a Christian at heart and in deeds, not a mere church-goer.

- Someone who has healthy boundaries because he has a Godly conscience. There are some things people of the world will do, but a person who fears God will never do them.

- A God-fearing man is not necessarily perfect... far from it, but he consciously tries to be better. He has not resigned himself to bad habits or character traits, with no intention of changing.

- A God-fearing man has a high sense of responsibility. Even on the days when he may want to fall short, he calls himself back to order because he alludes to a higher authority.

- A God-fearing man is not necessarily coy. He is conscious of his sexuality... he can be sexy and naughty and romantic, too.

- A God-fearing man is firm, commands respect and admiration from his immediate family, friends and others.

- A God-fearing man will lead his family with love... he will love his wife as Christ loves the church... and he'll help in raising Godly children.

The idea of a "good" man is very subjective... anyone can claim to be good by whatsoever standards they believe to be good. The idea of a God-fearing man is less subjective and can be more easily metered.

And let me say this for free, a person cannot sustainably be good by themselves. To rely on their own ability for goodness is a ruse! They will fail/hurt you way too many times. It is the working of the Holy Spirit in a man that makes the difference.
My sister, you just described my person. I wonder how you are able to study me and know a lot about me, character-wse.
