umarfantami: No twitter, no Facebook, no Instagram accounts, call them illiterates(almajiris) but they are the most politically informed people in Nigeria. The true holders of PVC and they also know the value, they go out in thousands to vote, yet the social media electorate and activist will be at home pressing phones and when the election result is out they will shout rigging. You look at them with disrespect and yet they continue to teach you political lesson. Elections are not won on social media. Social media popularity does not translate to actual voters. Next time you see a man with a transistor radio, respect him because he may be more politically sound than you. How are they politically informed? What has buhari done for them? Has he built schools to retrieve millions of the wasted northern children in the streets? How has he improved their abysmal standard of living? They queue around buhari because they feel he is a better Muslim catering for the talakawas and then use their population to propel him to power. There is nothing informed about that. |

alaoeri: Why are you comparing Nigerian brand of politics with that of USA, both countries are practising democracy but their system is totally different so no room for comparism, in Nigeria majority carry the votes and the North got the numbers. As regarding reproducing in manifolds, nobody is asking to follow the path and leave the northerners with their wahala after all they see it as an advantage which actually manifest in this election as well as that of 2015. But the northerners are pulling the rest of us backwards with their voting choice. Intelligent voters in vgc and Abuja had to succumb to almajiri illiterate voters just because they are far far more in number. How is that proper? We are not talking about regional elections here. This is national. You can't see the danger? The north could decide to sponsor another abacha one day, and he would win with almajiri votes. The voting system affects us all. |

Sophia7989: Bros the article is a pure propaganda.
First, even going by their rigged and suppressed result, APC got less than 8% vote in Anambra, and about 13% in Enugu. Their highest vote was in Abia, but that was because of Orji Kalu, not APC.
Finally, this election was MASSIVELY rigged, not just by illegal voting but also by wiping out valid votes that favor the opposition. In reality, the turnout and participatory resolve for this election were much higher than that of 2015 - especially in the opposition strongholds. Yet, on the contrary INEC wants us to believe that this election recorded an alarming rate of low turnout..
Why? I think that's because they systematically wiped out tons of valid votes in opposition strongholds while at the same time fraudulently swelling votes up in APC strongholds. Many people believe that the enthusiasm and voting pattern they saw at their poling units were not reflected in what INEC is announcing as the results. Let them take it however they want. As long as buhari no longer uses it to disenfranchise the east. Yes, we gave him 25% |

But still, you can see that FFK has a hand in it. He instigated it. Doesn't change the truism in both statements. FFK is right. The northern clowns on twitter are also correct. For good or bad, our politics is the estate of the north. Sad but true. |

alaoeri: Isn't democracy a game of numbers? The way this country is structured, no region will win the presidency without alliance with the north and also the north isn't stopping you from having many wives and offsprings. Productive progressive politics is not just a mere game of numbers, else Hilary Clinton would be president and Nigeria would be a member of the UN permanent security council. If everybody in Nigeria start reproducing like rats just for elections, our standards of living will drag down to the level of the core north. |

I guess you know I am a northerner and a hardcore Buharist. But my point is that #iamNorth sheyt is not necessary, and like many other things may have been started by PDP jingoists like Omokri and FFK to instigate a backlash and demonization of the North. Can you show any pdp jingoist like omokri and ffk on the timeline.? In fact, the thread on twitter is a response to FFK who said the north chose poverty. Use your head. Buhari has won his final tenure. No need for zombeism. |

Peter obi tried to brush up atiku candidacy among the educated, but it was not enough. |

Rossikki: Nigerians are smarter than we give them credit for. They know that it was PDP that plunged us into the economic turmoil we are trying to get out of. Why would they - just 4 years later - all rush to vote in PDP again? With Atiku at the helm? Haba. Rosssikke is now apc fanatic. Now I know how to take your posts from now on. What Nigerians are you talking about.,? Buhari won on the strength of almajiri. That was where he crushed atiku. Atiku lost majorly in Kano, Kastina, yobe. Those are not exactly the smartest Nigerians out there. They probably voted for buhari because he is a better Muslim than whatever atiku plans to do with the NNPC. Buhari lost among educated Nigerians. He lost in the highbrow areas of Lagos, he lost in Abuja, he lost in the east. Those are the smartest places in Lagos. |

Yorubas angry with governors or conduct of primaries gave PDP the edge they got... Yoruba hate no one... What you give is what you receive back.. So you didn't know Yoruba were angry with governors when you said apc will clear the entire south west. ? So how are we suppose to believe any prediction you make? Take away buhari with his god like northern support and your region becomes irrelevant. We will teach you in 2023, the same lesson we have always taught you for the past 16 years before buhari came. |

Nyamuriflathead: I tell you. They could have at least tried to win back the support And trust of the north by voting buhari since he's most loved politician here. Instead they were giving conciliations to a paper weight politician like Atiku. The only man alive In the north capable of installing an Igbo president is Buhari. Sometimes it is good to be strategic in all spheres of thinking, not just business, business. We will win on our own terms, sorry. Supporting buhari is out of it. In fact, I believe apc admires our loyalty but will never get it until they do the needful. In the meantime, Pdp will give the ticket to the south east and we will play politics as usual. If apc likes what it is good for them, they better do the same. The next southern president is igbo. |

When you show me a state APC won, then you can demand East ticket for APC Don't be surprised. The apc knows how fragile a Yoruba candidate will be going against an igbo like obi. SouthEastFacts: They North have started their treachery. I pity the yorubas.
Imagine them pushing for a South-South candidate to give easy challenge to PDP's northern candidate.
Take it or leave it, an Osinbanjo as President can challenge any Northern ticket, they are trying to edge him out.
It serves afonjas right Pdp is running with a southerner in 2023. The abokii guy knows a Yoruba guy will fall flat against an igbo candidate supported by the SE/SS. That is why he is projecting the south south to act as spoiler. He does not know that the south south is pdp. We already supported Jonathan and the south south knows one good turn deserves another. |
