Philipmems:Can you give any single example of any westerner who has been extradited to Nigeria for offences committed here based on the much dramatized "treaties" you are howling about? That's if you can do so without getting suffocated in your venom.. Must treaties be signed only to be obeyed by one party? And with your mentality, don't you think that accepting such a misnomer doesn't portray you as a hapless "wretched f00l? |
Philipmems:Nigerian law courts are in Nigeria! Try him in your Courts and sentence him to Nigerian prison, you coward! Nigeria is not a state in The US. Try him here and punish him here.. |
goziem1982:For whatever it's worth, I'm Igbo! |
rayvelez:Not exonerating him! We should stiffen sundry laws related to crimes like this in the country. He should be arrested, tried quickly here and summarily sentenced to a serious term in prison if found guilty! But whimsically extraditing the top officers of the nations security apparatus at the behest of some imperial powers will prove counter productive interms of the officers loyalty and dedication to the national cause. Don't forget how sensitive their area of duties are.... |
A nation should protect her honor, whether such honor exists or NOT.. Within the last few hours, there has been a series of federal government press releases that suggest the readiness on the part of those in government to extradite the then famous but now highly infamous "super cop" known as Abba Kyari. The decision follows a series of startling events, starting from his indictment in The United States over his involvement in a series of internet frauds orchestrated by one Abbas aka Hushpuppy.. Abba Kyari has not done any good to his image either by being the poster cop for ruthlessness and high handedness.. Initially, the federal government, through their body language acted as if they were not ready to surrender the man to the US authorities. But out of the blues, Abba Kyari was roped into a new drug case by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency. He was arrested and very strangely with cases like this involving well connected uniformed officers, a public trial ensued. Whatever that was left of his honor has been thoroughly eviscerated within the last few weeks as the sordid details of the socalled "drug burst", was skillfully unloaded into the public space with diabolical intentions.. Abba Kyari stood no chance.. With the way things are going, it's starting to look like the over dramatized drug burst was nothing but a very convenient excuse to hand him over to The US authorities, since his continued presence in Nigeria against the wishes of the almighty Americans might be hampering the diplomatic and political quests of the cabal in power in Nigeria. With the drug issue, the general public and the greater public opinion of the country have been prepared for his extradition, which is now being portrayed as a deserved punishment for a very corrupt action by a very corrupt cop. But there's a problem here.. Is it right to sacrifice Nigerias law enforcement officers at the whimsical behest of foreign powers? Have we thought of the net consequences of these kind of actions on the general mentality/morale of our men in uniform? Has anyone in the corridors of power sat down to have a serious appraisal of how other officers in sensitive positions might react to the request of any foreign power if they are blackmailed with the evidence of some of their wrongdoings while in command positions? Let's say The Chief of Army staff was involved in "oil theft" against a foreign oil company when he was a junior officer and now he's commanding the whole Army. If an American spy demands certain sensitive informations about the Nigerian Army from him, with a threat to reveal these crimes he committed when he was in lower positions if he refuses, do you think he will keep quiet and refuse to play game, knowing fully well that extradition will be on the table? Who suffers? Nigeria or The Chief of Army staff? Again, irrespective of the crime against Nigeria, will any United States Police or Army officer be extradited to Nigeria? Must our much vaunted extradition treaty with these overzealous countries always be one sided? Why are we always the only ones expected to extradite our citizens while their citizens that are responsible for crimes here, are seldom sent back here for investigations. Almost every Westerner that has managed to cross the Nigerian borders after committing a crime here, goes free as the country lsvks the diplomatic clout to prress for his extradition, even in situations where extradition treaties exist! The whole of Niger Delta is polluted beyond belief by foreign Oil companies, yet we can't get the leaders of these companies to face judgement in Nigerian courts. Italy and her agents once dumped nuclear wastes in Nigeria and no one was extradited to Nigeria to face trial for this crime against humanity. Billions of dollars worth of public funds have been spirited out of the country with the help of foreign banks and yet, we can't get these bank officials here to be tried! And I ask once again; does Nigeria exist for the pleasure of others? |
Osagyefo98:Stop being a fat fool. Igbo is Igbo! Whether from Abakaliki or from Onitsha! Stop your empty chauvinistic trend. You're not better than them. Anambra people commit crimes at Ebony and Ebony people commit crimes at Anambra. Nothing more than that! Same Igbo people! Same father same mother! Go to hell with your devide and rule... |
Sowore had been the most consistent activist in this country for decades. He deserves all the respect he gets.. |
Recently, there has been desperate attempts to flood the whole blogosphere with all sorts of cooked data about the population of the people living in the East and the socalled lack of economic activities there. You need nobody to tell you that these treacherous ones are upto something. These juggled numbers are cleverly dumped in the public space to entrench a wicked narrative that insists that nothing is happening in the East. The consistent way this tactic is being deployed calls for some serious thinking . It looks like the evil ones have perfected their rigging machinery for the up coming general elections, especially the presidential election. Certain groups in the country are desperately trying to prepare the ground for the general public to accept the political heist that will be unleashed in the East. They will ascribe 50k votes to Imo State and tell you that there are no people there, afterall there are fewer internet users there bla bla bla, .. People need to push back vigorously. |
The request for a no fly zone is most probably the dumbest thing ever said by a Ukrainian politician since this war started. But you can excuse them. It's desperate times.. |
BluntTheApostle:You know, I always think that most of these animals and rodents become aggressive, passive or docile depending on the environment they found themselves. In most cases, overtime, the way they react to how they're treated within their immediate environment, seem to form a pattern of behavior that defines them in general.Take for instance, the rat. If you grew up in the villages, you would have noticed that the rats there are far more conscious of their environment. They are super fast and very curny in terms of how the outsmart the humans. This is obviously because they're not spared when they're caught or even seen. But in the townships, it's a different ball game. The fat rat here strolls to your feet to pick a grain, comfortably, not worried. Only running away casually because it knows you won't give a hot chase outside the house. You most probably just want to scare it away. Overtime, the city rat becomes one fat slob that lumbers from one end of the sewer to the other without being disturbed while the village rat has mastered how to be fit in order to sprint across the room at the speed of light, in order to avoid being killed. I think that's the same case with the pythons.. |
derecho:Lots of Africans buy into western propaganda coming from these channels line hook and sinker. You need an African narrative to biuld up an African nationalism. China is where it's today because the greater emphasis on Chinese nationalism by The communist party paid off... Folks need to be told why Russia and Ukraine are fighting by African analysts with special focus on how such conflicts can effect the continent or Nigeria. And yes, you also need to propagate your own propaganda in a way that furthers your own national interest. It's very important. Why do you think that the British government and The America government fund the BBC and the VOA respectively up to this day? |
Hisbah21:You and one Omenkalives are still waiting for The NDLEA to rope in Obi Cubana into kyaris mess, abi? Evil minds! Imagine a situation where any of you is heading any of these agencies. You would have planted drugs in Obi Cubanas bedroom just because you can't stand an Igbo boy living lavish.. Twisted souls |
derecho:NTA belongs to the Abrahamic days. All these countries had their NTAs too. But they have modernized. I personally think that NTA should be scrapped and something new created. Something pro Africa in the same way The Chinese CCTV is pro China.. We have to tell our own stories in our own way and in our own terms just like others. |
Realists:I'm waiting for them.. I have enough time to spare.. |
DeltaFire:You seem not to have any other thing worthwhile to do with your utterly miserable life than to moan and wail about IPOB from morning till night!? Do you know the level of violence being perpetrated in the East by evil characters funded by outsiders? You don't care because you hate the igbo mans guts, Abi? With this crude level of negative disinformation and propaganda against the East, how do you intend to get your warped Lower Niger Congress? By antagonizing repeatedly, the most actively progressive segment of the so called Lower Niger? Are you cursed or are you this daft by choice? |
Python used to be very common in some villages in the East. Because they have no venom, people used to be less violent with them. This in turn made pythons to be very docile. In some villages in the East like mine, it used to be a Big sacrilege if you kill a python since they actually sneak in to the home and curl up harmlessly at any warm place.. Not until the new pentecostal churches started with their weird concept of seeing demons and evil spirits in everything including cats, bats, owls and snakes.. |
LuQuLuQu:The guy is a lost cause.. |
No permanent enemies in politics.. Afterall one Obafemi Awolowo went back to Britain to beg for war equipment to kill his fellow black people in Biafra. The same Britain he spent his youth fighting off in his struggle against colonialism and imperialism... Just to cage the igbos, the West and the north went back to beg Britain to come and fight their war for them. Today, Nigeria collects less from her Oil revenue than the western oil companies as a result of the agreements signed to commit the genocide in the East.. That's also how Nigeria became a failed state from day one. |
Atleast, we are not ranked low in the penetration of our women! So...

Coup for what? At this stage? Buhari will be gone in few months time, so coup against who? If we can stand him for this 7 long years, we can stand him for the next remaining few months..... Or are they trying to use a coup to entrench the Fulani domination of national politics post Buhari? |
This is the net consequence of watching too much CNN and BBC. This is what mental colonialization has done to the biggest black nation on earth. Operation brain phuck! This is what Bob Marley was wailing about, when he asked the black man to "emancipate yourself from mental slavery".. The people you are going to die for don't rate you. The war you're jumping into, you know nothing about.. This is how our grand fathers went to fight in British wars against Germany in all sorts of places in the name of fighting the World Wars. When it was all over, the only people being celebrated as heroes of these wars are the whites and no mention is made of the black Africans who put down their lives for a fight they knew nothing about.. I have said it here many times, we need to have our own CNN, our own Al Jazeera, our own Press TV... This is a question of national security. Africans need to be exposed to world events based on pro African narratives... Because, As long as millions of black people in Africa depend on western sources for their primary sources of information, so long will their mindsets be messed up in all sorts of wrong ways... You have never volunteered to fight for Congo Kinshasa who has been fighting against a western induced war for over a decade now. A war that has killed over 6 million people. But you want to fight for Ukraine... Ndi volunteers.. |
Since 1967, they have been running this country worse than you will run a pigsty... |
OBALOLA55:Is Ukraine a Christian country? Most Soviet ex Republics are not that religious.. Btw, I'm a staunch christian.. |
NeoWanZaeed:During the 2008 war over Ossetia and Abkhazia.. The then Gorgian President Mikheil Saakashvili was provoked to attack this two autonomous areas that were fighting to separate from Georgia. Putin, who was then the defacto president as a powerful Prime Minister annihilated the Gorgian army, occupied a big swat of Gorgian land and ultimately got "independence" for the two regions.. |
Oshodipikin:My man, How far? |
They're trying to paint Putin as a borderline lunatic. Very crazy people. Bush that was acting strangely and talking incoherently never worried them.. Putin has been dealing normally with them for decades with no fuse, he is now a mad man because he decided to war in Ukraine for his security? There is nothing in Putins reactions in Ukraine that's strange or new. He did exactly the same thing in Georgia, when during the opening ceremonies of the Beijing Olympics, Gorgia tried overunning ethnic Russians in Georgia. Putin left Beijing and went back home to bomb the Gorgian president back to sanity.. He has given Ukraine a loooong time to mend their ways. From just stopping at Crimea last time, to watching from the sidelines as ethnic Russians were slaughtered in Eastern Ukraine, he never attacked. If the leadership in Kiev weren't on some sort of ego trip, this would have been avoided.. |
Oddfinder:Some people believe that the US is infallible. They staunchly believe this.. |
Penguin2:Isolation is temporal... Once he's done in Ukraine and contacts are made with the West, you will see the sanctions go one after the other.. Meanwhile the objectives have been achieved.. |
Oyigboupdate, Come and blame IPOB-ESN for trying to use them to cook ogbono soup |
mrvitalis:They are just prolonging the suffering in Ukraine to wrench out enough global hate against Putin. As usual, they don't care about the lives of the Ukrainians. It was the same thing in Georgia, where they got the then President of Georgia to take on Moscow. His country was bombed and President Bush simply dropped some platitudes. That was it. The guy is even in prison in Georgia these days after living in exile for years. There was no way in hell that Ukraine would have won this war, so why allow it to happen? |
The discerning minds around the globe should learn one or two from what's happening in Ukraine as we speak. It's obvious that part of the reason why this crises escalated this way is because of the total display of mediocrity on the part of Ukrainian leaders. Ukrainians elected a platoon of political bimbos as their leaders during the most critical period in their young Nations history.. The president was a former comedian. The Mayor of Kiev is Vitali Klitschko! Don't know how a country as big and important as Ukraine ended up with that kind of weird mix.. The alarming lack of depth in their political decisions and the way they guided their people into this massacre is there for all to see.. Zelensky is asking for a no fly zone! I mean, is that not the height of tone deaf mediocrity!? No fly zone against who? Against a permanent member of The United Nations security council? Against a nuclear power? Against the country with the most sophisticated cruise missiles arsenal and the most sophisticated Air defence systems? You know what? I think that growing up with a powerful neighbor might make one take the powerful one for granted. There's no way any power in the world would intervene. Putin is already dangling his nuclear arsenal to frighten all adversaries... Zelensky should have known this and saved his country this mess by reaching peaceful agreements with Russia.. |
Promise in concrete terms that you won't turn your country into a staging post for NATO miscreants and the assault will end. You were warned in time... |
