An armed man has been arrested at President Mahama’s church, Ringway Gospel Assemblies of God on Sunday after he was spotted with a fully loaded pistol during service. The man whose identity is not yet known was sighted by church members during Sunday morning's main service with the pistol. A church member who confirmed the story to tv3network.com said ‘the man acted strangely and was too jittery during the morning sermon’. It is unclear why the man believed to be in his early 30’s had gone to the Ringway Assemblies of God church where the president and his wife fellowship with the gun. Unconfirmed reports say the gun is unregistered. He was caught by a lady church member whilst reaching his pocket for the pistol.Church members around confirmed the man wasn't a member of the church and nobody could identify him. Church officials have since handed him over to the police criminal investigations department for further investigations. The Director General of the public affairs department of the Ghana police service, DCOP Rev. David Ampah Benin who is also a church elder of that congregation was spotted at the scene with some police officers to ensure adequate security. Although President Mahama was not in church at the time of the incident, his official driver had brought his children to church that morning. Other key public figures including Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Wood , other senior police officers including DCOP Rev. Ampah Benin all worship at the Ringway Gospel Assemblies of God Church. http://mobile.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/NewsArchive/Man-with-fully-loaded-gun-arrested-in-Mahama-s-church-371083 |

July 26, 2015 - The mystery behind a Los Angeles gun fanatic found decomposing in a car last week has deepened as his fiancée's family said he was an alien-hybrid secretly working for the government. They're here: Dead LA man who had 1,200 guns identified, is 'part alien' Scroll down to watch the video(s) The bizarre statement came Wednesday as the betrothed woman's lawyer identified the dead man as Jeffrey Alan Lash — almost one week after he was discovered rotting in his car parked on the street in the tony Pacific Palisades neighborhood. Los Angeles police found more than 1,200 guns, nearly 7 tons of ammunition, bows and arrows, knives, machetes and $230,000 in cash inside Lash's home last Friday. They also discovered a Toyota SUV designed to drive underwater among the 14 vehicles registered in his name. The collection was as odd as Lash's confessions to his soon-to-be-wife Catherine Nebron that he was working as an undercover operative for multiple unnamed government agencies, according to her defense attorney Harland Braun. "The story itself sounds totally crazy, but then how do you explain all this?" Braun said. "There's no evidence he was a drug dealer or he stole these weapons, or had any criminal source of income, no stolen property, all the stuff you'd look for." Lash was also believed to be an alien "sent to Earth to protect us," according to Laura VadBunker, the mother of 39-year-old Dawn VadBunker, who used to work for Nebron. "I can't believe this," Laura VadBunker told KTLA. "It's worse than a Twilight Zone movie. He was part alien and part human and was out to save the world." Authorities are still working to confirm the man's identity and figure out why he possessed so many cars and firearms, many of which were still in boxes or had price tags. LAPD Deputy Chief of Detectives Kirk Albanese said he does not believe he was doing anything illegal with the weapons. He had been decomposing inside his car for nearly two weeks before police found him on July 17. Police do not suspect any foul play involved in his death, but there is an investigation into the cause. Braun said Nebron parked him in a car down the street from the condo they shared after he died. He had trouble breathing but refused to go to the hospital or call 911, the attorney said https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtvHPMyfeQo

A movie crew of 11 were arrested at dawn yesterday (July 23) for allegedly causing fear and panic during the shooting of a television series on the Spintex Road in Accra. The crew, comprising five women and six men, including a popular Nigerian actor, Hanks Anuku, were said to have fired gunshots indiscriminately about 3 a.m. yesterday. The other members of the crew were George Adu Badoo, Joseph Heisk, Ivy Bentum, Adjetey Roberts, Eluheaka Mensah, Arhin Wakila, Mary Acheampong, Emmanuel Anumaka, Charles Roger Beckly and Sherrif Sandy Brown. They allegedly blocked the road between the Fidelity Bank and Stanchart Bank on the Spintex Road, while a motorcyclist chased a car. Panicky motorists who called the Police Control Room through the emergency numbers had mistaken the crew for a gang of armed robbers who had blocked the road and were attacking road users. Briefing journalists yesterday, the Accra Regional Police Commander, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Mr Christian Tetteh Yohuno, said the police control room received a series of phone calls that a gang of armed robbers who had blocked a section of the road were firing and robbing motorists and other road users on the Spintex Road. He said some residents of the area who suspected it was a robbery attack on the two banks hid under their beds and other places they considered safe in their homes while they called the police for help. “Most motorists who were using that stretch of road, upon hearing the loud command of “Stop! Stop! Stop!”, sensed danger and quickly reversed, causing a lot of chaos on the Spintex Road. “A patrol team was quickly dispatched to the scene, only to ascertain that the supposed gang was a crew of a movie production company known as Rabell Entertainment,” he said. He said the police found that the crew members were using a shotgun, fire crackers, two rubber-made pistols and toy machine guns to shoot a movie without any lawful permit. By their act, Mr Yohuno said, they wilfully obstructed public way and hindered the free passage of any other person or, as well as caused fear to members of that community. According to him, the use of the fire crackers was an offence, as there was a ban on the firing of fire crackers and similar explosives. “More importantly, if care was not taken by the police, there could have been exchange of fire which could have led to the death of many because what the police witnessed on arrival portrayed a robbery operation,” he said. Although the police were not against film-making because of the enormous role the industry played in society, he said, they would not tolerate acts that were likely to occasion the breach of peace, endanger public defence, and safety or cause public fear and panic. Similarly, he stated that if such activities were not discouraged, any group of persons under the same modus operandi could pretend to be acting a movie but would end up committing robbery. He, therefore, advised movie production companies to seek the necessary police permit, protection and presence whenever their scripts required the staging of violent scenes, especially in public places, to avoid any mishaps or cause fear to the public. At the Accra Regional Command, three of the women who had been arrested with the crew wept uncontrollably as they tried to explain that they were not criminals. They said they had been recruited to shoot a movie about night life and were not engaged in any criminal act. Later in an interview, one of the directors of Rabell Entertainment, Billy Jane, admitted that the crew had not obtained permit for staging the violent scene which was part of a three-year television series titled: “Late Night Scenes”, which was scheduled to run on a number of television stations in Ghana soon. She explained that the crew had earlier shot some scenes in a club and were returning home when they decided to stage one of the scenes on the street. She said the company had always sought the assistance of the police any time it shot a movie which required permit or protection from the law enforcement agencies. “We are sorry. It was an oversight. I am sure it will not happen again,”she pleaded. http://mobile.ghanaweb.com/GhanaHomePage/entertainment/Actor-Hanks-Anuku-others-arrested-for-causing-fear-and-panic-370726 |

Kwara State governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, yesterday explained that the bail out given to the 36 states of the federation by the federal government was not meant to pay outstanding salaries and allowances to workers and pensioners across the country as widely believed. But was meant to restructure the debts of states in various banks and financial institutions in order to assist them have a lease of life to run their day-to-day administrations. President Buhari had recently structured a bailout programme for states as he said he was moved by the reported pains and agonies of workers across the country. Striking council workers in the state had therefore appealed to traditional rulers and other stakeholders to help appeal to the state government to use the bailout from the federal government to offset their outstanding salaries and allowances. However, in his monthly personality programme, tagged “Governor Explains”, held in Ilorin yesterday, Ahmed said: “The bailout has to do with restructuring of existing loans because states had not been able to pay salary of workers because of two things. First is that there is drop in federal allocation and second is that, states have incurred debts that had made their cash flow to be under pressure.” “This is because by the time they pay the loan, they would have little left for normal business of governance. And you know that the loan is first line charges and that is why states are under pressure. “However, the issue of bail out which people expect that money will be sent to states from the federal government to pay salary and other commitments, that is not how bailout is going to work. “What we mean by bailout and what the federal government meant by bailout is the restructure of existing loans that the states are owing banks and other financial institutions in a manner that the pressure on monthly payment is lessened so that it creates an additional head room for states to do other financial obligations,” Ahmed explained. |

A source with authoritative information on the meeting told SaharaReporters that the US Justice Department provided President Buhari with a dossier listing numerous participants in the theft of several billions of dollars. US authorities also pledged to offer further documents on condition that Nigerian prosecutors demonstrate a focused and determined effort to pursue ethical and serious prosecution. Our source revealed that the documents submitted and promised by the US disclose how Mrs. Alison-Madueke and her cohorts used several offshore accounts to move money between Switzerland and Germany. According to our source, the name of Kola Aluko featured prominently in the discussion and documents. Mr. Aluko, a player in the oil sector who was picked by Ms. Alison-Madueke as a front for some of her more egregious deals, emerged in the last five years from relative obscurity to become one of Africa’s richest people. Mr. Aluko, who fell out with the former Petroleum Minister after he reportedly started dating former superstar model Naomi Campbell, has acquired a stunningly expensive yacht, a retinue of Rolls Royce cars, other expensive cars well as multi-million homes and apartments in such locations as London, New York, and Dubai. Our source explained that US law enforcement agents, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), spent more than two years on the investigation that uncovered a pattern of obscene theft of billions of dollars of Nigeria’s oil revenues. An FBI field officer in Abuja reportedly played a key role in the investigation of Ms. Alison-Madueke and her self-chosen collaborators, including Mr. Aluko. Our source disclosed that the US Justice Department officials at the meeting indicated that they would be reluctant to sustain their collaboration with Nigerian authorities unless the Buhari administration set some process in place to identify and fire corrupt judges from the Nigerian judiciary. A confidante of Mr. Buhari told SaharaReporters that, after leaving the meeting with the US Attorney General, at the Blair House guest house of Mr. Buhari, the Nigerian president vowed that he would take decisive steps to rid Nigeria of corrupt judges to ensure the success of his anti-corruption agenda. Last week, during his US visit, Mr. Buhari publicly accused unnamed former ministers of President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration of stealing up to one million barrels of crude oil per day from the Nigerian people. In official speeches and media interviews, the Nigerian president also restated his determination to go after corrupt officials, regardless of their political affiliation. |

hidden in the Coca-Cola logo is actually the flag of Denmark. This wasn’t the original intention, but once they discovered the Danish flag, which has been named the happiest country on Earth, they set up a media stunt in Denmark’s biggest airport where they welcomed people with flags. Why they didn’t welcome them with Coke is still a mystery.
