It's too cheap. There will probably be some underlining issues. Even 2008 model Accord at 1.6m is meant to be overlooked.

Please my Toyota Camry 1997/1998 is giving me headache. If I park the car in an open space where there's direct sunlight or if I drive it for let's say close to an hour, the mileage digits will clear off, disappear and the gear will no longer select until I drive to where there's shade and park for an hour before the mileage digits comes up again. If not, i will just be firing gear one all along.

What's the solution please?

Can be ABS or speed sensor or the sensor on the gear. You have to scan first to be sure, so you don't throw parts at it.

Only lower ball joint change. Put in chinko while waiting for OEM to be delivered. Once OEM landed replaced immediately. This was 5 years ago.

No transmission repair or rebuild. Only ATF/filter changes.

Whats the price of the OEM today please?

If your Camry is sound. Those problems doesn't come frequently.. .. The sound system in those Camrys are JBL sound. The AC is ice cold. 1 quat of oil every 1500miles isn't a problem, considering the job the car does. Transmission failure most times is because of abuse. It affects even Accords. You don't know how stressful it is for legs to pull in a lonely road or when you're chasing a million naira job or contract. Why do transport company use the Camry instead of Accords? We are talking about Reliability. Why should an 03 Camry cost the same amount as an 07 Honda. I like EOD for it's Beauty a d better handling. But, most times it's like a pig. Dress a pig, wash a pig, a pig is a pig. It will leave you stranded on the road.

What work will the Camry do that the accord can't?
Concerning the leg issue, if you pay good attention to it, you would be fine. Like I said earlier, 12-15k per 6-8 months as part of preventive maintenance isn't bad. I've read cases of some going for 1 whole year without change. The Chinese knock-off is actually the biggest issue.
What's my business with what transport companies are using?

The reason the 03 Camry is more expensive than the 06/07 accord is just due to demand for the Camry. And also the Accord Toks isn't as expensive as the Camry, So when it's time to sell the Nigerian used will be cheap too. It's very easy.

Hmmm,last week vio stopped me at iponri demanded for rwc ,I gave them my photocopy ,they told me it's has expired,I told them it was just the previous day it expired,only God know if na JuJu dem use sha,they told me to off engine and come down,I sense danger cos these guys are very cunny and wicked.i quickly wound up and central lock my car.then I noticed another officer fiddling with something below my booth thru my rear mirror.all of a sudden the officer yanked my plate number off.i was alarmed immediately, I put my car in reverse and zoomed off then I entered national stadium parked my car and took the next korope to the scene where it happened,I demanded for my plate number back ,they refused to give it back,wow such effontery.i quickly stored the officer name who yanked my plate number in my head.then I quickly went to renew my rwc.then i put a call through to their head office at Berger,I explained all that happened to the engineer who picked the call,told him the name of the officer,he told me to come to Berger before 9 the next day.gbam I met the officer in mufti with my plate number in his hands.dude was so downcast,the fool said I hit him with my car,he even wrap plaster on his legs.the engineer said I should apologize for hitting him with my car,I did, though he was lying,then he said I should collect my plate number and go,lol.this idiot officer wrote expired rwc and dangerous driving on the rwc photocopy I gave them at the scene.the fool wan use me do Xmas lol

That's your choice. Even though Honda is fun to drive. When it comes to handling and zippy acceleration, I prefer the BFN for this reason ( Reliability and Fuel efficiency even with ice cold Ac) what's the point of driving a car when you're not sure, it will take you home. Google worst Accord to avoid. I would rather go for an 011/012 Accord. This has better reliability and better Mpg.

The only thing the Toyota has over the Honda is the legs but if you have a good maintenance culture, you would be fine. The fuel efficiency you are talking about is between 500 -1000 naira difference per full tank. That's is so negligible.

That year Camry that is known for transmission issues that people started saying you have to avoid newer models like the 2005 and 2006 so as to be free from it? Whereas in the Honda the major cause of transmission failure is bad oil.

I'd gladly use an Honda and be careful of the legs while enjoying good AC, great sound system and better handling than use a Camry and be scared of oil burn, transmission failure that they will have to use old gear called 10 pin so as to avoid more failures.

12-15k for the legs per 6-8 months won't kill me as it will be part of normal maintenance. Than almost 500k for engine and transmission.

Water inside radiator as per na diesel generator you dey use. Nigerians no dey ever amaze me

Anyway, my advice will be to change to recommended coolant, check if the fan is working at normal speed and check if thermostat is bad.

Please i noticed that the temperature of my car rises after a while when am using the AC. The hot temperature sensor just starts blinking. But once I put of the AC the light goes of and all is normal.

There is water in the radiator and all of the fans are are working appropriately cos my rewire just changed the fans.

Please can any how tell me what could be wrong?

And also when your rewire changed your fan, did he run it direct? And also check and make sure it's the correct type of fan he used.
