Travel / Re: I Make 10M A Year: Relocate Abroad Or Stay In Nigeria. by Runtown07: 10:02pm On Jan 07, 2020 |
Hey everyone. I’m a successful business woman in Nigeria and I make nothing less than 10M a year from my businesses. I’ve been thinking of relocating abroad, part of my 2020 goals but recently, been having second thoughts. I have millions of naira in a fixed account and my businesses are doing really well I have no reason to relocate for ‘greener pastures’ as my grass is already green and been really thinking of sitting my a*s back in Nigeria and looking after my businesses myself. However, I don’t like the system in this country at all. Nothing works. Low quality of life and there’s a ridiculously low life expectancy as well. If I code this minute and I need urgent health care, I kid you not I might die and we all know why - Bad roads, corruption, bad government. Still, I’m confused. Should I stay back and concentrate on my businesses and take vacations abroad or should I relocate for a better quality of life? One thing I don’t want is my kids given birth to and raised in Nigeria. If I decide to relocate, my money won’t really go far in the country I choose to relocate to due to naira/dollar unfavorable rates, tax, and bills upon bills. I won’t be as rich as I am now in this country but I will be comfortable. My parents see living abroad as a big deal but I don’t know if they will see being rich here as the ultimate( they don’t know about my wealth yet) I would really need your inputs, the visa won’t be an issue, I have enough to keep trying again till I get it. Should I stay in Nigeria, live in a nice estate that provides comfort and luxury(in a not so good enough country where an illness like malaria can kill me due to the bad health care system) or should I relocate for a better quality of life? If I choose to relocate, I’m thinking my businesses won’t be the same, no one will handle it like the owner or am I wrong? Dangote and other rich people don’t live in Nigeria and they still make their money right? Hufff! So confused.
pls can u assist assist me with any lucrative biz to do with 700k., looking forward to hear from u, thanks. |

Career / Re: For Bankers, Ex Bankers And Bankers To Be by Runtown07: 8:06pm On Jan 04, 2020 |
The truth is that if you work in the bank as core staff you earn much better than working as contract staff, core staff in the bank I work before(ET) 240k, whereas we contract staff earn peanut., my take is that the salary is commensurate with what the core staff earns yes, u start planning your exist on the first salary you have., cos like me I work in the operations, the job is hell, u u resume 7:15 in the morning to close sometimes 9pm is as bad as that, you also need to work in the ATM weekends 8am - 6pm, as a core staff, if you work like maximum 5years I believe is enough for you to gather yourself and seek for better alternative like doing your personal business or equip yourself more educational and seek a better option., like seriously the job takes all your time, everything about you is the job.,another thing been a contract staff is the worst, that one you have no future although no promotion, no prospect, your salary increment can just be like addition 3 or 5k to it after like every 2 or 3 years, I work 6 years and my salary before I left is not more than 81k so you can imagine, where as core staff that started with 240k if promoted let say after 3 yrs earns nothing less than 350k, this include so many other benefits., so the bottom like is as individual the earlier you prepare the better, we were thinking we have job that the mistake we did., not knowing we just doing a slavery work, I mean for contract staff ooo., but line staff I believe with such pay if you work within the period of 5 to 6 years is enough to start another good phase of life only if u have dream oo., cos most are just stuck there. Presently am not working but I enjoyed freedom I must say and am looking forward to a more better job offer or start my personal business soonest. 6 Likes 1 Share |
Career / Re: Building Materials Business by Runtown07: 12:40pm On Jan 04, 2020 |
The shop is not more than 100k or less I know about that, cos u pay for just a year., like I said I planned to add cash to it.,been a beginner, I don,t think is wise to invest all my cash into business that I have not made customers yet., and also no much stiff competition with what am seeing here., just like you have said, I planned to grow it bigger in no distance time, when I start making more sales and customers which I know by his grace I will., I really appreciate your effort thanks a lot. If the 700k is for shop rent and business capital I think it is fair but not OK to compete with already established pple around but don't be discouraged. If you're lucky and faithful you get an importer than can be supplying you even on credit but you must be faithful.
|
