The thing is that you can't blame the writers of the show though.
The show became too expensive to produce, with the actors being massive stars now, the network couldn't afford them anymore... One million per actor!

So they had to rush it, which makes bad writing and mistakes inevitable.


If the show was extended than usual, the Network, might not meet their expected profit, due to the high cost of the show.

So let's all give them a break, they didn't do a bad job

He has been speared at mareen and survived, he was stabbed countlessly at winterfell by wights and survived. Drogon has dodged the NK spear twice (it only took one throw to bring down Viserion) one was at close range, he's that swift.

Someone was complaining that Jon let-off Ghost far too easy. I'm sure if ghost rode down south with Jon to kingslanding it will be another plothole; because we all know direwolves won't survive the heat down south.

My complaint was that Jon did not have a more emotional goodbye with ghost. Someone here(semptu) mentioned that it would be hard to animate fur, I let it slide. But I could have talked about how they could have done something to alleviate this, considering what this show has done with CGI before.

No. Most movies do not make any sense in real life but they are entertaining all the same. They are mere fiction and the stories go the way the writers want it to go, not the way it happens in real life.

That's why there is something called Willing Suspension of Disbelief. All audiences have to practice it but it can be broken by events like the one in discussion.

From what I saw, the made attempt to take down drogon too but Danny escaped. As far as I know that's enough explanation in that scene.

They only made the attempt after danaerys came close to them and then ran away. Why didn't they do it while she was close?

The fact is that, in movies, there will always be something that won't go the way you would have expected or the way natural reason would have directed. But that's why they are fiction. Not real.

And that's why there is suspension of disbelief. And even allowing it, there are plot holes. You can't just say that movies aren't real so don't criticise them. This is one of the reasons Nollywood is trash. You don't criticise it.

And about Jon growing wings and flying or cercie and Danny playing, it could happen if the show runners decide to twist the plot to allow for that and give an explanation for it perhaps by introducing some sort of supernatural factor Into the story line. Although that will be an extreme twist, but in the world of movies anything is possible.

And they cannot execute that twist because it will be ridiculed and cost them a lot of money. Good, critically acclaimed films and series do not use this logic you use when making scenes and plot.

After all, it is in this same movie that a young boy can warg animals and claim to see into the past and future. And dead people coming back to life as zombies, a girl that rides dragons and is not burnt by fire etc. Do those things even make any sense to you or have any logical reason or real life possibility?

They don't but we accept them of suspension of disbelief. We also accept them because this is the magic system GRRM has introduced to us. For him to suddenly have characters do shit that has no foreshadowing so late in the show because it's magic and doesn't make sense will be an insult to the intelligence of fans. He knows this and won't do this.

And don't forget that dragons are not even real or natural creatures. I wonder why you guys didn't see any fault in that creature but saw so many wrongs in the sequence of events?

Because of WSOB(willing suspension of disbelief). We know the dragons can't exist but we accept it because otherwise, there would be no story.

What we won't accept is when the dragons start doing things GRRM didn't tell us they could do or told us they couldn't do. If viserion and rhaegal were to come back to life and start bringing people back to life with their fire just like that with no reason, do you think fans would use your reasoning and clap for the show?

IT IS NOT REAL LIFE EVENT!! Don't expect events to occur as they happen in reality. In movies, all actions are SCRIPTED and do not always follow a natural course.

This isn't a good excuse. The events in a story have to make sense or have a reason. There was no good reason why they couldn't shoot drogon out of the sky as well.

Since they do not follow a natural course and they are not real life, would you like it if Jon snow grew wings and started flying just like that? Or in the coming episode, danaerys and cersei start playing together?
