Finally, my Visa is here!!!

Application submitted 27th August
Biometric/credibility interview 1st September
Deferred Complex mail 16th September
Phone interview 29th September
Called for escalation 2nd &8th October
Sent several mails to the school...
Until 12oct, received mail that my application has been transferred to VAC, received by VAC, and sent to courier.
Picked up my passport with visa 13th October.
Yet to pick up hubby's, but I know it'll come before week ends.
This can only be God. It wasn't easy waiting, but God didn't disappoint us.

To everyone that encouraged, the list is endless. God bless you all.
And to those waiting, it shall end in praise.

It has been a long journey!
With 2 visa refusals from US and Canada for me, 4 visa refusals for my hubby (2 from US alone this year)...it was a journey full of faith, prayers and determination. So many errors along the way, issues with my hubby's passport made us do a new passport within a week. It was a mental hurdle for us all but thank GOD it finally ended in PRAISE!!

Thanks to everyone here@mimilyrics, justwise, and so many others who I picked your brain on how to make this possible..you guys are 10 zillion much. With this, I draw the curtain on my constant commentary here as school work has started in earnest and I need to switch focus from applicant to student mode (LOL).

I pray for all those who are waiting, about applying or have applied..the same God that made ours a success in spite of everything, will do the same for you. Stay strong guys..the race is not to the swift nor to the strong but to him whom God shows mercy. I will miss you all but I gotta move on now..

Finally, my visa arrived after 6 good weeks of waiting.

Application submitted: 27th July

1st Appointment for Interview/Biometrics; 18th August at Ikeja TLS (Due ro defaced passport, I couldn't submit)

New date for Interview/biometrics: 26th August

On tracker, application moved to DMC: 26th August

Deferred Complex email: 10th September

Sent email to UKVI for enquiries: 28th September (After 24 hours, I received a response of waiting for next 15 working days)

Called UKVI: 29th September (was given same timeline of 15 working days)

I gave the School permission to contact UKVI: 2nd October.

School confirmed they have gotten in touch with UKVI: 5th October.

On tracker, application moved to VAC : 6th October

On tracker, application received at VAC: 6th October

Mail for pickup dropped: 6th October by 1:14pm

Pasport Collected: 6th October by 3pm

The stamp on the visa carried 30th of September.

Meanwhile, I have previously travelled to the Uk, USA and SA on visiting visas, also, I have been denied visa once for USA visiting visa and Canada study visa( All were declared in the application with reasons).

I want to say thank you to everyone on this platform who has been of help to me and all other applicants, may GOD bless and reward you abundantly.

The place of prayer in all of these cannot be over emphasized.

I want to encourage everyone that after you have done your best, leave the rest for GOD in the place of prayer.

It was not easy wait at all, but thank GOD it all ended in praise!!!

Second interview - 17th September ( massive study gap. Duration - 1:50 minutes)
Collection text - 6th October ( we stopped tracking after the second interview)

Main applicant visa granted. Waiting for ours.

I am so happy. I can’t even begin to explain how I feel. All glory to God.

I have been here reading quietly and learning from various discussions.

After been sent back to get another passport because the old one was defaced because it once fell inside water,
14th sept, Biometrics, paid for priority.
Didn’t receive any update from them and after like 10 working days I did the paid mail and call and all they told me was that my application was at DMC and would be decided and I should hold on till 15th day before contacting them again, even after paying for priority o.
On Oct 1st I got decision mail which was the first mail gotten from them, I was at TLS on Friday to fund out if it was there but wasn’t available.
Then I noticed my tracker moved to Transferred to VAC, so I knew the wait was coming to an end, I got to TLS yesterday 5th around past 12:00, they still said it wasn’t ready, so hung around and tracked again then I saw received by VAC, I immediately dashed inside and picked it up this time, and got my passport with visa in it, I can’t thank God enough because I have gone through alot in this life, the waiting time was pathetic, I learned how to fast for the first time in my life, it became more scary because I actually paid for priority and it didn’t come as expected and I saw people getting within 4 days. May God’s name be praised, I pray all expecting their own will also testify soon, especially @Lawrence6, I feel your pain bro.

Timeline- 25th August Application submitted. 7th of September biometrics, they stopped interviewing same day(that's the first miracle)September 15th Got a non straightforward mail(was told by my Nigerian Rep. to prepare thoroughly for Interview,hmmm)September 22nd got a decision mail for 3 dependents, 23rd got a collection mail for dependents, collected for dependents same day(Praise God!!)...Finally, 30th of September Decision mail dropped for main Applicant, today 2nd of October tracked and saw transferred to VAC, went there since morning waited till around 1.30 when they usually send the 2nd mails for the day, boom! 1. 19pm collection mail dropped...you want to ask if the 2nd interview hold? No! That's another wonder of Jesus! For those waiting, it will all end in Praise for us all!

I had 2 U.S.A student Visa refusals and 1 Australia student Visa refusal. It hasn't been an easy journey for me since 2017 but God did it this time.

VISA application 24/8/20 (standard Abuja) no priority then, getting a date for appointment self was a testimony.

Biometrics submission and interview: 1/9/20
Transferred to DMC 1/9/20

Deferred complex mail A.KA not straight forward mail: 18/9/20.

21/9/20 got a call from my bank asking if I submitted my statement of account to any embassy? I responded, I was asked by the banker which embassy, and I responded too. Never read that from anyone here that a bank caller to ask. That made me more restless and at the same time gave me hope that something is being done on my application.

Continued my refreshing of mail and nairaland messages. Very sad and smiling at the same time at work place, I was fed up with everything. Normal TGIF and weekend parole was like a vigil at St Marys.

Finally 28/09/20 got a used CAS mail from my school.
29/09/20 Application moved to VAC.

30/09/20 at exactly 12:08 pick up mail dropped and I rushed as if tomorrow's public holiday will last forever and behold my visa with my coconut head there.

Thank God.

Hello everyone... I am giving my testimony I said it that on it before Wednesday I would get my visa and I did

I was on my way to just give it a try if I would hear o anything from TLS when my mum called me that my application had changed to transferred to VAC. I got there and they said I should wait for a while that it hasn’t gotten to them an hour plus later I got my email and I went back to pick it up lo and behold my visa came through after days of sleepless night prayers and fasting...

Transferred to VAC 29th and decision email
Visa approved

Don’t give up on God he will surely do it, I thought That was the end for me when I didn’t get my visa decision on the 23rd which was my complete 15th day But God just wanted to let me know DELAY IS NOT DENIAL
