When English press wants to make you look bad, they make you look very bad. All those columnists that were lashing Moyes at this time last year should bury their heads in shame already. In fact, Moyes bashing started after only 5 games, especially when Everton were among the top 4 teams.

I can say Moyes was not allowed to concentrate and settle. Moyes never had a steady natural CM until January. Our midfielders and defenders were getting injured. In comparison, Gaal's injury problem is less severe than what Moyes faced. Half of Gaal's team can be injured and would still be able to line up a dreaded first 11.

I am not suggesting Moyes is a greater coach or at par with Gal, but there was high level of immaturity every where in frustrating him. Suggest articles like how he rotated his team (they forgot the many injuries), how he did not play Zaha, how he failed to play Anderson, how did not Chicharito, why he played Jones in midfield (even though our CMs were injured and Jones hardly lost games in their absence)

However, I think Moyes would have done far better if he were to lay hands on someone like Blind; a player who tackles and use the ball too. Same with Herrera. Although we will still need a player like Vidal. Let me see where Yaya Toure will pass again.

Injuries is the main problem we are having this season. Read that we've had 35 different injuries since the beginning of this season. That's an average of almost four injuries per week. And to think that we have not even played one third of the league season is most worrisome.

I remember last season some blamed it on David Moyes' "military-like training"... so what could be the cause now that we even have less games!?

We need a plan B, especially when things turn out like this. Keeping Fellain in our own half is a waste of space. He should be up there jostling for the aerial balls pumped straight out of the back while RVP, ADM etc should be looking to get on to the second ball.

I think so... especially after going one up. Mascherano I felt had the legs to keep up with the counter-attacks. Busquets didn't stop a single attack; it was like he wasn't there. If Alba was fit, leaving him out was a very bizarre decision. That flank was useless; usually Neymar up against two. Rakitic clearly offers something a great deal more in physical and defensive sense than Xavi. And maybe that burly kid at center-forward in place of Suarez for some part of the game.

Anothe variation would be Messi in the midfield flanked by Mascherano and Rakitic.

Real simply just out-ran and 'bullied' Barca off the park.

My thoughts on the clasico... I don't have all the facts on injury and all; just my feelings.

Busquets wasn't needed. Mascherano should have been played in midfield.

Mathieu should have played at Center-back.

Rakitic should have played in place of Xavi.

Di Maria fvcked up, he wasn't at his best. Mata and RVP marginally improved from their otherwise lethargic performed.

Both of you have fair points.

Yes Rafael's positioning ensured Berahino was on-side. But Jones was the closest man to Berahino before that pass came and that 'charge-out' made the westbrom striker free, ultimately costing us that goal. If he had stayed in place, Berahino would not have had a 'free ride' straight to our goal!

Jones should have just maintained his position!

Anyway, this is somewhat my opinion earlier. We have too many men pushing into attacking positions. If Rafael pushes forward, then Blind and Shaw should stay back. We have enough fire power upfront to win matches. If the forward cannot score, that is their headache jor. In a nutshell, we should be prudent in getting back men into attacking area.

Well, I guess this is what the coaches want or are telling them to do... LVG needs to re-assess his approach or demands on the players!

And can someone please tell LVG to stop writing on that silly board, paper or whatever and actually go to the touchline and bellow out instructions to the players... or at least send someone to do it. All they do is chat with themselves all game long. It is getting very "Onigbinde-ish"

This is the one game that I have said anything in RVP's defence all season and this is because I saw he was putting in a lot of effort and mileage when we did not have the ball. Like I pointed out, even the chance where he refused to pass came as a result of him not giving up on what others would have called a 'lost cause'.He may not have been productive but I cannot fault his attitude all through the game!

As for Mata, I guess he knows he has not been performing as well as many expect of him and was eager to 'make amends'. Anyway, I'd still have left him in the game and taken off Januzaj instead... the small boy just been dey do leg-over wey no catch anybody!

At least, they fought back and equalized; almost won sef. I will take small solace from that. But for the Chelsea game, I have lost any iota of hope I may have had!

The 'selfishness' aside... RVP is the only one in the forward line that goes to put the West Brom defence under any sort of pressure when they have the ball and passing around the back. That opportunity in itself was as a result of him chasing down and forcing the error on Lescott over a ball others would have considered a 'lost cause'!

Van Persie is isolated out there... Januzaj and Di Maria should move and press with him whenever we do not have the ball.

And WTF does LVG keep writing on his miniature blackboard!!?

Why this team plays at such a pedestrian pace, I will never understand!

We shouldn't be relying or waiting for Arsenal and Liverpool to keep drawing or loosing matches for us to be in the top 4, if we put our own house together and amass points from every match we play, then whatever results any epl team gets during matches is their business, I ll know the strength of this team after first winning tomorrow then beat Chelsea and Man City or at worse beat Chelsea and get at least a draw away to City.

This is so cliché ... It is inevitable. we still have to rely on results elsewhere to go in our favour for us to progress!

The way Arsenal and Liverpool are 'wobbling' now is very encouraging - top 4 may well be achievable this season if it continues like this.

A tough run of games coming up after Monday... omo, our mettle is really about to be tested, big time!!!

They made it out of group stages last season before getting eliminated by Barcelona.

They have been humiliated in group games by the likes of Napoli, Ajax, Dortmund, Bayern,Madrid, Roma etc Most of these clubs have less money and lesser hyped players

So what does it matter? A hundred years isn't forever... They will eventually make a big impact on the UCL someday.

A couple of years ago the almighty REAL MADRID couldn't even get past Olympique Lyon in UCL knock-out, now hasn't that story changed!?
