Odunharry: Van Gaal: Falcao can do a better job upfront than RooneyHmmm... this LVG fella is one sly MOFO! Basically what he is saying is Rooney is always assured of a place on the starting team (because he is skipper); but it may mostly not be as striker. |
MrTA: So in a match where we scored 3 goals away from home and we lost due to lack of steel in midfield and defence its the attack and the strikers we're discussing?I tire oh... LVG says we didn't control possession; but he forgets that in a game that you cannot control, defence has to be at its best and solid! Does he just teach these lads how to pass, pass, pass and not how to defend!? Is this how we will struggle whenever we cannot control possession! There needs to be a frigging plan-B for feck' sakes ![]() |
That was a psychological victory for Pellegrini... master-class change! |
Nihilist: Hope A40 can see milner's intelligence now?I swear... he's surprised me! |
Hats off to Man City... they are truly champs! |
DE JA bleeping VUUU Lampard scores!!! ![]() |
usbcable: 7how quickly things changeswear down! |
I must say, very poor officiating this weekend... this City-Chelsea ref has been dishing out yellows like he works for MTN. W.T.F, every single foul is a yellow! |
City midfield has been very impressive so far. Fab4 barely had a sniff! |
codedguy1: I still don't know what to say!We have to do it quickly oh. Being so far behind won't help that UCL bid. |
nitlad: Rooney don die? He gets all the flak as usual!Calm down na... coogar is on the way. His keke napep spoil for road ![]() |
Na wa oh. Who we go hold responsible for this kain kata-kata now!? |
coogar: www.nairaland.com/attachments/1721002_image_jpeg9f360c5ab7736510df54c882e9dbf188I just love how you hang yourself with your own rope... Welbeck scored with his second attempt not on the third nor on the fourth! |
Katsumoto: Oh come on, surely you are not making excuses already.I can put my money on it that Welbeck's tally (UCL, FA, League, Capital-1) will not beat that of any of UTD's strikers (RVP, Falcao, Rooney)! |
coogar: that is expected - welbeck gets 90 mins in every league game but there's no way RVP, falcao and rooney can cop 90 mins in every game. one of them must sit on the bench.Nice that you seek me out... oya tell me how many chances it took Welbeck to score today as against the BVB game!? elampiro: Lol.So if it isn't a CCC, Welbeck won't score!? Anyway, no time for argument - our lord and saviour, LVG shares the same opinion as me on this one and that is why Welbeck isn't a UTD player today! |
To my happily married folks out there; when did you decide that the woman (or man) you are presently with is the one you would start your family with? What events led you to this conclusion? What were the signs that told you that she (or she) is the 'real deal' and not a mere 'mirage'!? |
coogar: pub quiz....... if we have to sell one of rooney, RVP, falcao or mata.......who would you sell & why?Smart money is Falcao because it is just a loan deal and can easily be terminated. Tough, but if it was up to me, I'd still go for Rooney... reason being, given that he is the 'face of MUFC', I don't think he is 'leading' or exerting himself well enough for me. Very long shot though! I doubt if Mata is leaving anytime soon. LVG impressed me with the way he used Mata in the last game; most times he (Mata) was the one inside the opponents box like as if he was the #9. Mata may not play that many games but I'm sure anytime LVG wants to innovate or try something 'unorthodox', he will call on Mata - this may well be the Spaniard's saving grace! |
coogar: to be fair to him, arsenal haven't created much in the game. i am looking at the stats & it seems arsenal went there to wänk.Did you even watch the game!!? SMH for all these by-the-roadside-newspaper-stand analysts...! |
coogar: 3 or 4 good chances? did we watch the same game? arsenal created next to nothing last night and you can't blame welbeck entirely for that. how many scoring attempts did the team make & you want to crucify welbeck for that? coogar: 3 chances are different to 3 good chances. immobile had 5 chances & scored one of them. welbeck had only 3 chances....where's the comparison? balotelli had 7 chances to score one. coogar: uncle ruudie, i never said welbeck didn't miss chances. i said arsenal didn't create enough chances for him. emphasis on "enough". the conversion rates of most strikers is below 25%....which means they need about 5 clear chances to score a goal.I have told you that 'your amadioha' has deserted you out of shame that's why you cannot wriggle out of this one... do Quaresma twist and turns all you want! |
@ coogar I refuse to be derailed... After watching the clip and reading the excerpt of the report, did Welbeck miss chances (good ones at that) or not!!? Or is it photoshop? The rate at which you're going, you will have to sacrifice two cows to the gods of football for blasphemy. |
coogar: footie-punditry reputation tainted? you have a better chance joining the kkk.The amadioha you're calling is probably so disappointed at your lame attempt to save face that it is ashamed to even be remotely associated to you! |
coogar: 3 or 4 good chances? did we watch the same game? arsenal created next to nothing last night and you can't blame welbeck entirely for that. how many scoring attempts did the team make & you want to crucify welbeck for that? The bolded there is you quoting me exactly about the number of chances I mentioned. coogar: i thought ruudie said it was 4 chances, now it's 2?Then you come here to say I said 4. Should we now start calling you TWISTA...!!? |
@ coogar You can try that your usual *ish with elampiro... e no go work with me!!! If you like shift the goal-post from Orile to Obalende, you have been found out! You have two choices - humbly accept that you did not watch the game and just used stats to cover up or deny and forever have you NL-footie-punditry reputation tainted! |
4. Welbeck has to be more clinical in front of goal Arsenal carved out two clear opportunities for Danny Welbeck and the £16m man’s finishing was so inept that one effort was off target and the other did not even register with Uefa statisticians as an attempt on goal . Manchester United’s manager, Louis van Gaal, was damning in his analysis of the 23-year-old’s goal record and on nights like this when chances are all too rare – he missed a third after the interval – Welbeck needs to develop a ruthless streak if he is to banish doubts about his ability at the highest level. The same can be said of Olivier Giroud, ironically, and Welbeck must prove himself a conclusive upgrade. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/european/borussia-dortmund-vs-arsenal-five-things-we-learnt-including-danny-welbeck-must-be-more-clinical-and-hector-bellerin-debut-9736894.html |
Keky: Those gloating at Welbeck, has the 'World Class' Van Persie scored any goal this season?if you want to make comparisons, try using forwards within Welbeck's age and playing bracket... and honestly assess for yourself if he is doing better! |
coogar: 3 or 4 good chances? did we watch the same game? arsenal created next to nothing last night and you can't blame welbeck entirely for that. how many scoring attempts did the team make & you want to crucify welbeck for that?If you had been in the 16th century, the pendulum would have been named after you! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HSanXGIInus Now you tell me who watched the match and who didn't! |
coogar: to be fair to him, arsenal haven't created much in the game. i am looking at the stats & it seems arsenal went there to wänk. what a disgrace!!!!We have been making excuses for Welbeck since he was 9 at the UTD academy... and that just has to stop if the guy will ever outgrow this useless childishness. He had three or four good chances; two of which he was racing towards goal with just about only the goalie to beat and somehow managed to miss. Welbeck and Immobile are about the same age - but the difference between them is CLEARLY clear! Anyway, that is Arsenal's headache now!! |
ChristineC: LoLI agree oh... he is our Plan-B! ![]() |
Back to winning ways... finally! Pheeww!!! ![]() |
Who do Rooney jazz strong, I swear, na only am no change position for field ![]() Nice touch by RVP to try and tee Falcao up. Januzaj should have done the same! |
Like play, like play... see Blackett sha, sure first team shirt! |
QPR take style get some decent players oh... Vargas! |
