You didnt learn basic equation? Dangote will buy 600K barrels of Crude using Naira. The owners of crude will forgo 600K barrels of USD per day...to sell to Dangote Nigeria OPEC limits are 1.8-2.2M Nigeria has not been able to meet it. For Nigeria to benefit from Dangote - it needs to ramp up production to 2.6-2.8M barrels per day Then it will earn 1.8- 2.2M from export of crude - and save 12B its would have used to import refined oil. Right now Nigeria is struggling to hit 1.5m - Dangote comes - takes 0.6m - Nigeria will export 0.9m. Can Nigeria improve production by that much. Yes and No. It need to fix insecurity, crude theft and invest in oil production. Short term - Zero IMPACT from Dangote.QuietMynd: U ve started saying rubbish again, reason I don't like to engage u sometimes. At least get ur fact right so that u don't appear like a foolish specimen of human. The refinery is generating more than that amount u wrote, even if the refinery is to generate $200k, it will still save the country 12b dollars every year which is spend on refined oil nd its derivative. That means additional $12b to spend on something else. |

What is net forex inflows with Dangote refinery. Nigeria will forego half it's crude revenues in forex- 600K barrels per day - that will be diverted to Dangote. Nigeria has been unable to meet it OPEC ratio. The net flow is the value added. The excitement about refining oil in Nigeria is misplaced. Dangote will save Nigeria very little forex - maybe 1 billion dollars max. Until Nigeria increase oil production to first meet their quota and also give Dangote 600K barrels per day. Then it will save Nigeria about 10B dollars it now use to buy refined oil.QuietMynd: He won't instantly free float the forex window, Even buhari is waiting 4 the refineries to start working first b4 he start doing that, so the pain will be minimal unlike in this present situation. The country will definitely collapse, buhari knows this also |

He will continue Buhari forex control
Nevertheless, it is safe he will rather sustain the current model whereby the government controls the official forex market known as the I&E Forex Window or spot market.
“The exchange rate influences the costs of imports, competitiveness of exports, and net capital flows among other things. It cannot be ignored nor left to the vagaries of an unrestrained market,” Mr Tinubu’s manifesto says without stating the direction his government will take on this. |

Reading this - he seems to have good handle of the issues https://www.vanguardngr.com/2023/01/tinubu-presents-economic-plans-to-stakeholders-at-nesg-presidential-dialogue/“It is based on this idea that I believe we must remove the PMS subsidy immediately. It has outlived its shelf life as a public good. We will neither subsidize neighbouring countries’ fuel consumption nor allow a select few to reap windfall profits and hoard products. “And the subsidy money will not be ‘saved’ because that means elimination from the economy. Instead, we will redirect the funds into public infrastructure, transportation, affordable housing, education, and health, and strengthen the social safety net for the poorest of the poor, thus averting increased security challenges. |

Very nice. Nigerians should support him. Yes, he once did its Lagos. He just needs to dump almost every Buhari policy. He needs to avoid being hostage to Northern business cartels led by Dangote. Nigeria should have one economic system for everyone. Not one for few rich elite - and rest for Nigerians. Obaaderemi2: Fuel subsidy is gone, universities will be autonomous, he said the opaque forex issues will go.
He doesn't support import substitution because he believes in making industry competitive. He started Nigeria's first independent power project.
His vice is the former governor of Borno, a state that was besieged by Boko Haram, so I expect them to Know how to handle terrorism.
He is very different from Buhari. He has an international mind. He knows that revenue generation is paramount and he showed this in Lagos. |

He needs an additional 12 states from the North to meet 2/3 states with 25%
He can possibly get 25% in Plateau, Nassarawa, Niger, Benue, Taraba, Kaduna, Adamawa and FCT. Hopefully he gets another 4 states, but not looking likely.

Nigeria is already doing badly without your Ghanian imported excessive tribalism. Morons. vaxx: Yes acceptance of diversity is not the same as being gullible of your own self and identity, you must not throw away yours on the plater of liberalism . You have a value and culture to protect .
Check some instance in Nigeria , hardly will you hear such any negative news in the north like end sars or some sort of rubbished that happen freely in yorubaland why? More than 90% of the police personnel in the north are native to the north; but come to Yoruba land, more than 50% personnel are non Yoruba !! Ask anybody who have been to the uk .Do you see a Scottish policing over England ? Neither can you see a northern Irish policing in Scotland.
Nigeria will be making waves if each region have police / army that are indigenous to the region, that the only solution and that is absolute Regional government not this barbaric unitary system of stealing wealth from Yoruba land to fund another region in the name of one Nigeria.
That is how federalism is operated . Unitary system can't work in Nigeria , it is too big with many cultures and ethnicity.
We are lucky in Ghana not to be too big

Yes working day and night because each polling station results must be verified after original is physically delivered to Nairobi. We dont have rigging in kenya because every polling station data is final after famous supreme court ruling called "Maina kia" case. Nigeria you're going through who can rig the most - that why whole process is opaque marred with violence and confusion. The worse is the delay - so right now - every camp having seen the initial data - are manipulating electons. theenchanter: 😹😹😹

Yes it huge - kenya had 46K - but Nigeria need to invest in technology beyond biometric - results transmission. Again from what I have seen = polling stations can be anywhere out there in a tent - crazy. GeneralDae: There are over 176,000 polling units across the country and unlike the Senate and House of Reps, large numbers (almost everyone) voted in the presidency section. You can't compare this outrightly to Kenya.
It is normal that the BVAS for the presidency upload could malfunction too and there is a need to not allow election results from certain regions influence others.
Anyway I agree INEC needs to improve a lot. It's first time. Example, in over 70% of the areas, the INEC officials came late (after 7.30pm).

what use of pink sheet if you have biometric machine loaded with voter register. People should show up - put their fingerprints - and vote vaxx: If your name can appear on the pink sheet and bvas captured your data , I don't see the need of disfranchising eligible voters without pvc.
In Ghana , if you lost your voters card , you will not be disfranchise So far the machine can capture your information and your name is available on the voters pink sheet .
I heard you can't vote without PVC in Nigeria

Yes it very advanced compared to your nonsense I am seeing now Refer to this thread on the election date https://www.nairaland.com/3327823/kenyans-far-behind-nigerians-every/1385On the same day - election day - we know who had voted - while voting was going on. By mid-day we know who had voted - by closing of the polls - we knew who had voted. Two hours after close of polling stations we had most of results in. This because kenya uses technology - nigeria dont. "Kenya Election - Look like it will be very low turnout - 60% percent maybe IEBC reporting 56% - excluded those on the queue - about 12M voters - at 4PM.It's now 6 and most polling station are closing - and results will stream in live in about an hour" 30 mins afte close of voting and start of counting.. "kenya Election Update: Election results coming in fast and furious. High turnout in Kalenjinland(80-85%), No result from Luo Nyanza(strange- could be 2007 ploy), medium turnout in Mt kenya, everywhere else is very low 1) NEP - 50-50 2) Coast - Raila leading amongst Mijikenda - Ruto leading in others. 3) Ukambani - Raila leading but Ruto doing very well 4) Matusa - Raila leading. 5) Kalenjin - Ruto scoring 98% up from 92% for Uhuru 6) Mt Kenya - Ruto scoring 85%. THIS BIG ONE. 7) Western - Ruto doing very well in Bungoma(80%) - and 40% in Busia. cool No seen results from Luos and Gusii." By 9.20 the same voting day As at 9:20 kenyan time - about 40% of all polling stations have submitted their data https://forms.iebc.or.ke/#/By midnight - 82% polling station had submitted their results - online for whole world to see Well IEBC tried this time - the result forms are - at 82% at this point - just what six hours after it started streaming - with close of counting. We just need a few to stream in - and we are done. Azimio folks have gone AWOL Will Raila concede defeat? https://forms.iebc.or.ke/#/By next day - early morning - all results were uploaded - and people were busy doing calculation. Final tally were out by end of that day by most who had time to do the maths and Ruto had won. Raila people bowels had loosen and they were having mass diarhoea tissue papers run out of stock.IEBC then took 5 days to verify and check - GeneralDae: Thesame Kenyan election we monitored here? .
Results are not largely out because voting is still going on and results from certain quarters can induce voters.
For instance, I hear Atiku got better votes in some parts of the North yesterday evening. |
