AskiaHarem:in your dreams |
PetroDollaxxxx:precisely.no better than Niger or chad |
Doha world athletics championships not seeing a single Nigerian |
Nigerian ancestor ambassador to the US .No wonder US refuses to sell the arms.US might want money but it's clearly irresponsible to trust such fossils. They have to go to Russia .The president and the ambassador are fossils https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jpwvToQgb8M |
Jonraid:hahaha |
Jonraid:Yeap great news. The Safari rally is back.I wish they slotted it back to Easter.Very good news |
68816419:Wish Nigeria was doing a lot of that rather than exporting criminals & crime. |
Jonraid:look like Halloween.just dress in most ludicrous sense and pass it for a carnival.nothing African or cultural or heritage |
samorobo:Which Minna certainly not in Nigeria |
samorobo:You do realize as you waste billion to reclaim Atlantic... Nairobi is expanding furiously |
samorobo:Lagos like many coastal cities cannot be compared to say Nairobi or Joburg...you have sea front blocking you .. Nairobi built up area is a radius 60kmd..Konza is 60kms from Nairobi..that give you are 3600* pi...13k kms square or 15 times the forested lekki.. the somewhat built is trending towards a radius of 100kms..that about half Rwanda.Plots in Nairobi are now being sldim 60+100kmd range Nairobi city was long filled up that is why you seehi high-rises and very expensive land.Joburg is world largest non coastal city and Nairobi will overtake it soon.Nairobi metro is so huge |
What % of Lekki is developed coz this debate is coz 64 dude wanted us to marvel at the 800km square of mostly forested lekki samorobo: |
68816419:large part of lekki is a forest...that just the front.. otherwise all the way to lekki deep sea, Alaro and I think Dangote refinery are forests...all I see is ads of plots for sale in those forests |
68816419:Victoria Island is decent...the rest of Lagos is crappy. |
68816419:very depressing video.Houses parked like sadrines without any greenery. |
68816419:Looks Nairobi's eastland already.Planned should incorporate some greenery. In Nairobi you need to at least anything 10% of greenery for you plan to be approved.Concrete jungles like those are hardly something you want to post here.Umoja or kayole in Nairobi lot greener |
Jonraid:They cannot buy such ranking |
samorobo:what could possibly happen 2yrs that could lead to such changes..eti covenant university.much be pure corruption. |
samorobo:Webometrics not the only ranking.Times the last few years..2yrs to be precise have produced very suspicious ranking. |
68816419:Most of lekki is forested..still undeveloped like Kajiado or Machakos within Nairobi Metro..refer to Alaro city |
kikuyu1:It will..I expect by 2023 we will be 150-160.Now that we have done census we are due for another rebasing. Anyway refreshing read by that guy. What we need is huge investment in infrastructure esp in roads, rails and cheaper electricity...we need to ship Turkana oil via old mgr train from Eldoret..that should fix our export problems...while we build lapset oil pipeline. We also need to fix insecurity in those frontier counties so mining companies can move there for exploration. We can then urbanize and industrialise... |
kikuyu1:Anybody with a brain or money has either escaped or is busy trying to escape Nigeria..those that have to stay have their own exclusive island of little paradise heavily guarded and driving around with company of armed security...you can imagine a country whose best day is six hours of electricity.Just imagine a city with defeaning generator noise... everywhere you turn you'll be hearing or smelling damn generators. Most countries would revolt big time. But Nigeria have some wired sense of humour... |
Just like Nairobi city long overtook Lagos in nearly all indices and now sits squarely as no 4 city in Africa after Joburg,Cape Town and Cairo. Mombasa now sits as No 5 port city...after Port Said of Egypt,Durban of South Africa,Tanger Med of Morroco, Port Alexandria of Egypt.Lagos port complex is regressing every year. Mombasa this year could possibly hit 1.5m TEUS..nearly twice the Port of Darslums.Kenya economy will in medium term overtake Morocco to become the no 5 biggest economy in Africa https://www.businessdailyafrica.com/corporate/shipping/Mombasa-port-makes-key-gains/4003122-5286206-1lte2wz/index.html |

Tanzania hidding Ebola. Very typical in the budding dictatorship of Magufuli https://www.statnews.com/2019/09/21/who-signals-alarm-over-possible-unreported-ebola-cases-in-tanzania/ |
Eddy Njoroge become the first African President of ISO the standards body https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.businessdailyafrica.com/news/539546-5282922-view-asAMP-13cm5y3/index.html |
samorobo:Forums like these are old school...the first Kenya forum was started in 1992...the first Kenyan ISP known then as Africa Online was started in 1994 I think.Probably the first ISP in Africa by likes of Makatiani just out of MIT.Nigeria was then battling Sani Abacha and Babaginda There was no www then. For now check which country has most Facebook or Twitter or Instagram compared to its population...Kenya.Nairaland is vestige in the internet era.We are now in social media era...we started from I think groper..ftp...long before http .Concentrate with oil..matters intelligent leave it to Kenyans...kenya education system is very very good.Ayisi Makatiani(MIT),Ngweno(she was in Harvard) and I think a Gakio(MIT) were the first Africans outside South Africa to make serious money from internet because when Nigeria was battling Abacha they had formed Africa largest ISP named Africa Online that they flipped for serious money. South Africa is on another level with likes shuttleworth, Tesla dude..those Boers are as good as any talent you can find worldwideetc. |
68816419:What is Nigerian total university enrollment..600K..that should help understand why Nigerians are out there seeking for university education including in Benin.I bet 1m plus Nigerians are out there seeking education...each spending maybe 10k usd...that is like 10b dollars your economy is bleeding... something you can easily fix by increase the capacity of your universities.Countries like UK and Australia makes so much money from Nigerians seeking university education. In Australia I think earnings from university education is 3rd largest source of Forex.Part of it come from Nigeria oil industry and you remain hopelessly poor. |
SUFFERInSMILIIN:Shockingly the north value cows better than human life but beef and dairy industry in Nigeria remain as undeveloped as Niger |
68816419:Enrollment boss is what matters...you universities have capacity for 600k students. That is shocking.Kenya universities enrol about that. That is Nigeria are out there looking for university education in 21st century. |
