There is no need for one.Power rarely goes out and when it does it comes back in an hour.I mean rarely like once or twice a month due say a storm.Our power and transmission company has choppers on standby.They also have 24 hours standby emergency team everywhere.In most cities they are able to do live maintaince..coz we have built redundant lines...in some places we are starting to lay underground cables to avoid storms felling down pole lines.Kenya electricity is very very reliable.Ask any Nigerian in Kenya.Ask if they own or when they last heard generator noise.Ask them the last time they had blackout and how quickly it was resolved.We are improving in ease of doing business by fixing basics like electricity reliability

You come from the zoo.The generator he is talking about is pump in rural areas to pump irrigation water...coz you cannot drag electricity wires many meters down... otherwise we enjoy 24hrs electricity for 30.5 out of 31 days.I don't own a back up generator myself and last time I heard generator in Nairobi was long time ago..

Final agreement 1.6 billion dollar to TCN to provide 20 000MW of power by 2022 also started as they had to demolish 100 houses to build power lines across kano city which will experience constant power supply along with the whole of Northern Nigeria and Abuja with this deal
