diluminati: This is just my exact thoughts. Why go behind SA to buy arms and launder that large amount of cash into SA without notifying the SA security authorities and not even the DSS or any Nigerian security official on that flight? Why is GEJ running the presidency like his own kitchen? I expected Nigeria to deal openly in arms with SA, if they become hostile, simply deal openly with another country or contractors openly. But this one is money laundering and serious crime. If gej is not impeached in this mess, then may God help Nigeria.
Impe wetin? Lol! Hitler stands a better chance of going to heaven than Jonathan being impeached.

mustymatic: We Muslims of Nigeria have to unite in
order to fight the war that is being waged
on us by our open enemy. We have been
under persecution for long and at the same
time we are tagged as terrorists.
In the interest of patriotic Nigerians that
these Muslim community is, answer must
be provided to these questions?
(1) Was Pastor Ayo authorised by FAAN/
NCAA to operate commericial/charter
flights with his Private Jet? Remember the
NCAA rule that those with Private Jets can only carry family and riends; but not for commercial purposes.
(2) Since it was a commercial charter, was
the FAAN appropriately notified before take
off from Nigeria?
(3) How was the $10 million loaded on that
flight without clearance from CBN or was
the insider who wires money to BH the
same person who facilitated the movement
of such huge amount?
(4) What were those weapons meant for
and why the illegal purchase?
t is a pity that thousands of Nigerian
Muslims are ill-informed. It is high time we
educate ourselves to form a common fronts
against the enemies of islam the Fanatical
Christians ( Although we believe there are
moderate ones) and their judo-zionist
allies .They are terrorist of the highest
order as it's now been revealed.

haconjy: South Africa is an ingratite. Nigeria has done so many for this country even in a wrong way during the fight for their independent. Now they are putting some people in the Nigeria Northern into problem by not releasing the money for arm procurement.

Mind you, stop mentioning CAN president into this issues. This man does not deny it that his let was use still you use all sort of abusive words, remember he is old enough to be your father, even your father's father. Hi Stranger. Thanks for the undeserved insults.

Apparently its now a crime to have an opinion.

Apparently the only way to make a point on nairaland is through insults.

Apparently you are spoiling for a fight, which you apparently won't get.

Apparently i'm being very nice to you when i normally would have made hell freeze over with insults on your head.

Apparently, i'm just gonna leave you to your devices and pray you realize how very inappropriate your words were.

Bye stranger.

PoliticsRe: Govt Officials Blame The US For Arms Purchase Scandal. by Ryabcool(m): 10:23am On Sep 18, 2014
Truckpusher: I sincerely agree with you on this.
But you have to understand that this particular report was Premium Times exclusive report given to them by unanimous govt defence officials or whatever what and can't be trusted.

Read the report again and tell me where the govt has officially released a statement to buttress home that the points raised in this report was what actually transpired.

I hope you are aware that Hilary Clinton objected and rejected any move to label Boko Haram as terrorist group and her husband came here shamelessly to say that Boko Haram was a result of neglect and injustice by the Govt. even if we are to believe that there are some atom truth in what he said ,then the question is ;why are they the 'boko haram' killin innocent Nigerians in their dozens ,why are they kidnapping school girls ,why aren't they killing govt. officials in their dozens.

Let us wait because the truth of whatever is going on in this country would be known it is just a matter of time.

In as much as I do not believe in the sincerity of our leaders I wouldn't still jump into conclusion that the US isn't trying to undermine our security one way or the other.

They said that by 2015 Nigeria would be a failed state and so far everything is pointing towards that direction.

And let me also remind you that some senators in the US that sees themselves as champions of human right have been agitating that Nigeria should be punished for making gay activities criminal and this is where we are right now and finally the policies of state interest being made by this current administration isn't going down well with some quarters in the West.

Take it or you leave it we are at a cross-road to a new era that'd define the direction this country must follow and of course there are going to be hitches and it won't be an easy one.
You are right that it is not an official statement and we can't wholeheartedly judge just yet. But we have to look at it objectively.

The US might want the split of Nigeria in 2015. But do you really think the US would be that dumb to attempt this shallow approach? This approach that can easily be seen through? Nahhh!

The point of this thread is trying to implicate the US in this arms deal, and we're saying it doesn't make any sense.

Like i said before; The US might have vested interests like what you listed above, BUT THIS ISSUE CLEARLY ISN'T ONE OF THEM.

Hope you get me?

Truckpusher: And the CIA made sure that Murtala paid dearly for it.

Most of these NL folks do not read.
This is one reason Why no sitting Nigerian President screws with Washington.
These guys takes no prisoners.
True.

But wouldn't going behind the US' back to purchase weapons make matters wayyyy worse?

First, the US would henceforth see the current government as a huge threat!

Secondly, whats the point of going to get the weapons in secret when the US will eventually find out?

In addition, FG has been procuring its weapons and more recently fighter jets from the East bloc since the insurgency arose. What then was the need to go backdoor again? When Russia def doesn't give a hoot about what the US thinks.

Moreso, Jonathan has found solace in running to Germany(part of the East bloc) for medical treatment instead of going to the West. Obviously, Jonathan trusts his life with them. And for this to happen, it is VERY SAFE to say he must be in cahoots with them. So trying to implicate the US at this period is a not good enough of an excuse

It doesn't make any sense. And any government official who thought this up really isn't mentally fit for the job. And thats if we're to go with your train of thought.

This only points to one thing; this statement from the FG is attempt at justification, but falls short. The US might have vested interests, but this clearly isn't one of them.

mployer: Buy from Russia and become an enemy of the US. Not everyone wants to be an enemy of the US undecided
B1tch please! Nigeria and Russia maintained close relations during the Military era. Russia wanted to make Nigeria a Communist State like they attempted to do with Cuba, hence Russia was allowed to ship in Marxism books and items which furthered the cause of a Socialist and eventual Communist Movement. Socialist principles and ideals were actively promoted through media outlets in Nigeria. This happened the most during the Murtala era. You better read your damn history books boy! undecided

PerfectlyPerfect: I will always support my country through thick and thin, but this...this is just plain ridiculous.
yeah, the man made some points when he said the US has been scuttling some arms purchase deals. Nigeria tried to buy some Apaches from Israel but the US wrecked that deal.
I don't understand why a sovereign country like ours should play the underdog to another country. if US says we shouldn't purchase deals from their allies, we have other countries like Russia and China who would sell to us.
these guys don dey vex me small small
No oo! No vex o! The matter no reach to vex at all! Oduah scandal no reach to vex. Chibok no reach to vex at all. 20billion Dollars missing no reach to vex at all at all. ISpiksDaTroof: This is a bloody lie from the pit of hell, and today I promise you this: GOODLUCK EBERE JONATHAN WILL NOT BE PRESIDENT COME FEBRUARY 15, 2015! Neither State nor Justice (Depts.) has Nigeria blacklisted from legal Arms purchases. What we have been against from jump were the illegalities involved in their procurement and transactions. To blame the United States for this scandal is to admit what we have thought all along: THIS CORRUPT NIGERIAN GOVERNMENT HAS A HAND IN THE INSURGENCY AND HAS A LOT TO ANSWER!!!

If Nigeria pushes, we will push back. Theres a lot to be revealed and I think its about time this evil group of people leading Nigeria to the abyss are put to shame once and for all.
I really can't wait to read the US official statement on this. I'm dying to know...
Nairaland GeneralRe: The Relationship Blame Game: The Abuse, The Abused & The Abuser by Ryabcool(m): 4:17am On Sep 18, 2014
Very hilarious yet thought provoking...

Society frowns(and rightly so) at male inflicting violence on women, but hypocritically turns a blind eye to female inflicting violence on men. Where is the sense in that? As much as people try to overlook it, it happens rampantly in today's world. Solange's case brought about a lot of questions and the nonchallant reactions of people brought even more questions. Imagine women saying "he must have done something to make her attack him"... I was like WTF?! Then if i'm to go by the train of thought in at VERY USELESS attempt at justification, then Rihanna must have done something to make CB go knuckle happy on her face. Oh wait, men do not deserve to complain if a woman attacks them!

To make things worse, most males who have tried to protest female physical assaults have been labelled sissies and not being 'man' enough.

This begs the question; Is recieving physical assaults from the opposite gender without complaints or attempt at self defense the prerequisite of being a REAL MAN? FOH with that garbage!

If violence isn't wanted, then it shouldn't be dished out.

Women deserve to be respected and not be subjected to any form of physical assault. AND SO DO MEN! EOD!

Abuja just doesn't appeal to me as somewhere i'd wanna settle fully in my youthful years. More like a retirement home to me. I like the busy life of lagos. I like the traffic even more than i hate it. I like the population. I like that there is always somewhere i can go to anytime i'm bored. I like the fact that i get to meet people like me who are hungry for success. I like the fact that if i can conquer in Lagos in spite of the limited resources, i can conquer anywhere else in the world. I like Lagos and i like all its faults too.

Chloroquine and Codiene. grin grin

Chloroquine; i had Malaria in 100 level and was too broke to go get drugs, so i went to the School Health Centre. That Phocking School health Centre prescribed Chloroquin and i ignored warnings from my friends about the itch.

Codiene; Some guy suddenly showed up one day with bottles of cough syrup and Viju. i was very skeptical about it having any effect on me so i gulped quite a lot. 1 hour passed, nothing happened. I hissed and went inside my house to sleep. Na so i wake up the next day in a girl's apartment with no idea how i got there. The girl come dey narrate as i take knock her door, enter her place, crash for her couch and dozed off. Them no teach me to run from Codiene after that! grin grin grin

Gays; Good Lord! It all started with twitter. Some good for nothing elements who asked for a follow back would just start appearing on my DM emptying rubbish compliments. At first i didn't get it cos gays weren't that popular in naija. Not until one good for nothing bastard asked for my preek size, that was when i knew that something ulterior was up. I immediately blocked them all!
