Once the outburst and condemnations from non muslims (those in Middle Belt and Southern Nigeria) starts flying around, the fulani lords will show it to hausas and say, look the infidels (kafirs) are insulting our ways of life and religion. When a sunni gov use the instrumentality of state to bar a Shiite or any other non sunni sect from preaching, just know that fear is the motivating factor, not peace. Fear of losing power, influence and majority to an opposing force.
