SportsRe: Outrage As Bbc Publish Premier League Team Of The Season by Sabby1(m): 2:32am On May 08, 2020
Personally, I think Bruno Fernandes shouldn't have made the list over the likes of Wilfred Ndidi, Jack Grealish, Fred Rodrigues and Matteo Kovacic. Though, he brought confidence to a struggling Manchester United side, but still, imagine a player who just made 5 appearances being in the BBC Team of the Season, isn't that surprising considering the fact that EPL games halted at game week 29.

I don't think Sergio Aguero should have made the list over Jamie Vardy who is the competition top scorer so far and also imagine Allison Becker making the list over the 'Magnificent Dean Henderson.'

Anyway, we can't alter the list

Josephobaz1985:
billions of dollars are already lost and millions of families are already bankrupt. Most of you don't know how government run. The more you shot the engine of production the more you stop the wheels of progress. No government prints money nowadays because the is no enough materials to revalue the money cost of the money printed. The colossal destruction of the economy will hunt us for the next ten years.
How do the government run?
This ain't time for economic review. When the pandemic is over then can you consider economic review.
The primary aim of the government at this point in time should be safeguarding the lives of her citizens and also ensuring their safety, but can Nigerian government guarantee you that?
In a country where you're certain that the citizens can't be guaranteed health safety, what do you do?
Do you just allow citizens to go to work depending solely on God's grace and mercy without adequate health provision or astute health policy?
Be sincere, isn't our health sector a mess?
If yes, then you want people to go out there and die all in the name of salvaging an already dead economy...Haba!
I am sure you probably don't know how rapid corona virus spread and how many Nigerians still doubt it's existence in the country.

HealthRe: Lockdown: Abuja Residents Say They Are Not Resuming Work, COVID-19 Is Real by Sabby1(m):
Personally, I feel the lockdown should be extended as the number of cases is drastically increasing and drastic measures should be put in place to support citizens. Relaxing the lockdown will only increase the cases as we can't do without contacts to an extent. Take a look at what is happening to Ghana after they relaxed their lockdown. Confirmed corona virus cases in Ghana surged above 2,000, increasing 24% in a matter of days, Ghana health officials announced. The spike was announced 10 days after Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo eased a three-week lockdown in the capital of Accra and in the city of Kumasi.

Nigerian government should create a means of supporting below average citizens with relief materials and palliatives not the audio one we are hearing.
When the daily number of confirmed cases drop drastically, then can we encourage the government to relax the lockdown.

Are snakes not feeding on eggs? Ur dictionary says dust means something worthless. so eggs are worthless right?
I am not disputing the fact that snake feeds on eggs but you need to carefully go through your earlier replies in relation to this.
Why do you keep on answering myopically without critically examining both sides? Did you just post or reply to create a long thread of a topic? little wonder you haven't answered any of my questions yet. Anyway, there are several meaning of dust but you choose the one that best suit you and not the one that best answer the question.
No hard feelings though, do have a lovely day
God bless you

So crawling means eating from dust?
Mention a nation that has come crawling to God
Depending on the context
You're quite funny sha
What does 'eating the dust' mean to you?
From your first post, you talked about snakes feeding on rodents and not dust and when you were countered, you switched to snakes also feed on eggs and not just rodents.
With respect to your own context, what do 'dust mean'?

We have given you our own answers, give us yours

Christianity EtcRe: Questions For Christians by Sabby1(m): 9:44am On May 03, 2020
GreatResearcher1:
Snake eats eggs. rats, etc. are these things also made from dust like man? backup with a verse
The curse pronounced upon the serpent of “eating the dust” is a result of it now crawling on its belly in the dust. It used to be like one of the “cattle” and “beast of the field” (Genesis 3:1, 14), but now will crawl on its belly and eat dirt. More importantly, this imagery of eating dust is symbolic of a creature low, despicable, abhorrent, and degraded.
In Micah 7:16–17, God prophesies of a time when the nations will come crawling to Him:

The nations shall see and be ashamed of all their might;
They shall put their hand over their mouth;
Their ears shall be deaf.
They shall lick the dust like a serpent;
They shall crawl from their holes like snakes of the earth.
They shall be afraid of the LORD our God,
And shall fear because of You.
Christianity EtcRe: Questions For Christians by Sabby1(m):
I will advice you while reading the Bible to not just read a particular verse but try to read an entire chapter

1) Genesis 3:19 "By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return."

Here, man is referred to as 'dust' because he was made from the ground and mind you snake feed on flesh and not just rodents.

2) Probably, earthworm go on their belly because that was how they were created. Snakes had limbs but we're cursed for offending God and even scientific research shows that snakes used to have legs and arms until mutations happened.

3) With respect to snake being punished instead of Satan, all I can say is that there is a great relationship between God and His creatures that is unfathomable. Isaiah 11:8 says that "the infant will play near the cobra's den, and the young child will put its hand into the viper's nest." Isn't this somehow contrary to Genesis 3:15 ( I will make you and the woman hate each other; her offspring and yours will always be enemies. Her offspring will crush your head, and you will bite her offspring's heel.”) Understanding God is totally impossible. Job 36:26 made it clear that "we cannot fully know his greatness or count the number of his years."

However, does that mean we should avoid the subject all together? No, because God has made many of His traits and attributes understandable.

Anyway, 1 Corinthians 3:19 says that for the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God's sight. As it is written: "He catches the wise in their craftiness";

Only God knows all

Christianity EtcRe: Indians Are Throwing their Idols Inside River For Not Saving India From Covid-19 by Sabby1(m): 8:35am On May 03, 2020
Ardar:
Lol in the process of throwing out their idols, they shouldn't forget these ones. All of them na idol.

But come to think of it, I've never seen a dark skinned Jesus or a dark skinned Mary, they're all white with pointed nose. Abi white people live for Middle East 2000 years ago?
Ignorance is really a disease. If you don't understand about Catholicism, kindly meet a priest for explanation rather than focus on hearsay and mind you, Catholicism has lasted and endured for more than two millennial and more intelligent people have asserted their own heresy and have come and gone fruitless but Catholic Church is still the largest Christian group worldwide.

“Catholics worship statues!” People still make this ridiculous claim. Because Catholics have statues in their churches, goes the accusation, they are violating God’s commandment: “You shall not make for yourself a graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow down to them or serve them” (Ex. 20:4–5).

It is right to warn people against the sin of idolatry when they are committing it. But calling Catholics idolaters because they have images of Christ and the saints is based on misunderstanding or ignorance of what the Bible says about the purpose and uses (both good and bad) of statues.

Anti-Catholic writer Loraine Boettner, in his book Roman Catholicism, makes the blanket statement, “God has forbidden the use of images in worship” (281). Yet if people were to “search the scriptures” (John 5:39), they would find the opposite is true. God forbade the worship of statues, but he did not forbid the religious use of statues. Instead, he actually commanded their use in religious contexts!

During a plague of serpents sent to punish the Israelites during the exodus, God told Moses to “make [a statue of] a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and every one who is bitten, when he sees it shall live. So Moses made a bronze serpent, and set it on a pole; and if a serpent bit any man, he would look at the bronze serpent and live” (Num. 21:8–9).
One had to look at the bronze statue of the serpent to be healed, which shows that statues could be used ritually, not merely as religious decorations.

Catholics use statues, paintings, and other artistic devices to recall the person or thing depicted. Just as it helps to remember one’s mother by looking at her photograph, so it helps to recall the example of the saints by looking at pictures of them. Catholics also use statues as teaching tools. In the early Church they were especially useful for the instruction of the illiterate. Many Protestants have pictures of Jesus and other Bible pictures in Sunday school for teaching children. Catholics also use statues to commemorate certain people and events, much as Protestant churches have three-dimensional nativity scenes at Christmas.

If one measured Protestants by the same rule, then by using these “graven” images, they would be practicing the “idolatry” of which they accuse Catholics. But there’s no idolatry going on in these situations. God forbids the worship of images as gods, but he doesn’t ban the making of images.

It is when people begin to adore a statue as a god that the Lord becomes angry. Thus, when people did start to worship the bronze serpent as a snake-god (whom they named “Nehushtan”), the righteous king Hezekiah had it destroyed (2 Kgs. 18:4).
