I agree with every part except the bolded. Are you sure you listen to radio at all? grin
Ligxy:
Talking about boring Xmas, I think it's more boring here in Abuja than anywhere else, I'm not even feeling any Xmas in the air, I've not even heard a single Xmas song on radio or anywhere.
My next Xmas will be in Canada by God's grace.

If possible, I'd like this post 1 million times. @bolded you have said it all
etrange:
Why are you still resisting the the urge to use the word 'monkey' when the bolded statement above has contextually done justice to your line of thought?

I appreciate the fact that we blacks have a long way to go and we don't seem to even be in the right direction but we must desist from this attitude of self defamation. It is internalised racism and that is a terrible complex. We're not where we want to be, referring to ourselves (yourself inclusive) as animals will not, in any way, take us there. I am not an animal, I am an African and I'm sure the Canadian government knows that, that's why they granted me permanent residence in their country.

I had this discussion with a Yoruba guy who's been in Canada going on 10 years. He came through the EE, he's now a citizen and will be voting in his 2nd election. He
lives a good life and started a family. He refuses to vote liberals because according to him they're opening the border, letting a lot of immigrants in without vetting them. I honestly wanted to slap him. Canada is actually one of the hardest countries to get into. I feel this man likes the advantage he has over his family and friends in Nigeria. Very wicked man.

There is an IELTS thread, specially for people preparing for IELTS which is also an ideal place to tell the testimonies. truth is people have found business opportunities (Tutoring) which is good, but this their marketing strategy is finishing the little space remaining on this thread. Its just for us not to divert from the main course. or maybe they should open a thread for tutoring so that people that want to take the chance of being scammed can patronize them. PEOPLE SHOULD SHA OPEN THEIR EYES, NOT ALL IELTS TESTIMONIES HERE(MARKETING STRATEGY) IS REAL! Don't let fear make you do things you will regret.
