braveheart2012: Wow! My boss is scheduled to leave for Nairobi on Tuesday for meetings. I had lunch with him two days ago and he was complaining because our Risk Management group was trying to force him to change his hotel to a less-Westernized one because the terrorism risk levels are high in Kenya. His meetings will be cancelled. They already cancelled his Lagos meetings because of kidnappings. Africa is going to shit... and I hope this doesn't usher in a new era of military coups.
Thank you.

That is an organisation that has hired security PROFESSIONALS.

Only cretins in Kenya security forces would not know they are at high risk and have a plan in place to respond.

ocelot2006: Care to explain what's wrong with their combat stance? 'cos what I see are lots of cops and soldiers placing their lives on the line rescueing trapped tourists. Please give these men the respect they deserve.

Oh by the way, its a mix of both soldiers, police officers, and GSU Recces (men in tactical gears and M-4 carbines) down there.
See my post above yours and see the SWAT training when you are clearing a place room by room.

Then tell me how can a police officer respond and shoot from the Kenyan police stance before a bullet hits him.
PoliticsRe: Kenya Mall Under Attack From Islamic Terrorists (Pictures) by Sagamite(m):
Jakumo: Ease up with the armchair squad leader critique, Sagamite. This unprecedented attack caught the Kenyan security forces totally by surprise, and obviously they had no time to get dressed and change into uniform so as to abide by a dress code insisted upon by armchair generals in Nigeria. The police and troops sent to the Kenyan mall had time only to strap on their battle kit and rush to engage the cowardly enemy, at great risk to their own lives.
What you are chatting is rubbish!

First of all, a country which is and should be permanently under high terrorism alert, considering that they have had numerous terrorist attacks in the last few years and are engaged in a war with a moronic islamic fundamentalist organisation known for terrorist attacks, SHOULD NOT be unprepared in responding to any surprise attack if people that had a brain are running the country.

That is not armchair criticism, that is mere common sense and professionalism.

And I used the phrase "surprise attack" because there is nothing "unprecedented" about the attack.

I am not a security expert but I have enough common sense to know if I was leading the security of a country under red alert from terrorist attacks, I would have a plan in every major city of the country (talkless of the best parts of the capital packed with people) to react to surprise attacks and minimise casualties and reassure citizens.

That is just pure common sense, nothing else. No training!

If the terrorist had any sense and have studied moronic African security forces, they would have come in 2 batches and the second batch would have wasted people by pretending they are police just to cause confusion.

How can a country under red alert for terrorism not issue all police officers with a badge to at least be able to differentiate them in mufti if they need to respond to surprise attacks?

I don't know why we Africans always want to defend mediocrity when it takes just a simple application of the brain (not even significant extra cost) to be far more better and effective.

Jakumo: Your suggestion that guns should always be "pointed and ready" is dead wrong as well. When the safety catch on a firearm is OFF, that weapon needs to be pointed either straight up, or straight down, UNLESS a target has been spotted and the armed response officer is taking aim to light up a virgin seeker. The trigger pressure required to open fire with an assault rifle is typically on the order of 3 to 5 pounds of finger-pull. In a tense situation where incoming fire is present, guns are gripped MUCH tighter, whereby if a finger slips off the trigger guard with the gun pointed at innocents, the trigger will be pulled BY MISTAKE, and a burst of live fire will jelly-fish anything in front of the weapon.

In short, the guns MUST stay pointed vertically UP or DOWN until the instant an enemy combatant is to be engaged, AND NOT ONE MOMENT SOONER.
This is crap!

You are dealing with an unknown and unidentified terrorists/enemy shooting at random. You don't even know how many of them.

The terrorists are not trying to identify who to kill, they are killing anything that moves. A trained person would have his gun pointed at everyone he sees and be screaming "hands up, POLICE" until he can take that quick instance to identify if they are a threat or not. The terrorist would have their guns pointed, they would shoot at sight. If your gun is pointed up or down, I guarantee you, majority of times, you would not be reacting. No wonder Africa has higher rates of security officers death in such situations than countries run by people with a brain. At worst, your gun is pointed 20 degrees down, not 90 degrees down.

It is ridiculous for you to say "that weapon needs to be pointed either straight up, or straight down" (i.e. 90 degrees).

You can point your gun without your fingers directly on the trigger. All modern guns are built with that option.

This is how professionals do it (Watch where their fingers are placed).

Nairaland GeneralRe: Cheating Couple Forced To Walk Unclad In Benue State by Sagamite(m): 1:48am On Sep 22, 2013
Mandesz: According to reports, the couple (pictured above) were forced to walk naked on Thursday 19th September at Orokam, Obadigbo Local Government area of Benue State.

The woman is said to be the wife of a popular school proprietor in the area -the porpietor passed on Tuesday and barely two days after she was caught with another man.

After being caught, they were taken to the town’s oracle – oracle called “ALEKWU” which punishes married women who cheat on their husbands and also deters people from committing atrocities.

To punish the couple, the oracle instructed that them to walk the town naked to cleanse the land; after which the woman was sent back to her father’s house and banned from attending her husband’s funeral.

PoliticsRe: Kenya Mall Under Attack From Islamic Terrorists (Pictures) by Sagamite(m):
All these pictures I am seeing of Kenyan security forces is just a pure shame on Africa.

- You hear unknown men are sporadically killing people and the security forces sent people with mufti and no identification badge carrying guns to go and save them? How will the people know the difference between murderers and security forces guys?

- Many of the security guys are so ill-trained they seem to always have their guns facing downs instead of "pointed and ready". A bullet travels faster than your reaction. If a terrorist comes round the corner, you are dead before you can react.

- This quack goons are telling people (including kids) to run to come and meet them in safety, instead of taking their guns, in a set "pointed and ready" position, to meet and escort these people from their spot of temporary safety to full safety.

Africa is run by fucktards!

deesmom: Good evening everyone, this is the 30th month of our marriage. It has been quite eventful and I am blessed to have the husband God blessed me with.
We have a major challenge shaa,I am a Christian but he is a muslim,we got married in church, registry, traditionally however a nikkai was done the day I got to his home.
I decided to be a good wife and follow his religion, but I am beginning to feel very empty deep inside me. I pray and sstill try to do solo fellowship with God, but the need to return to church is so great and overwhelming.
I discussed it with my husband and he insisted that he would not allow me go to church.
I am so confused...
Our earlier agreement was that I was free to worship God as I please;later on ,just about a month to our introduction he said he was going to call it off since he realised he wants a muslim wife ;out of desperation I agreed to try my best to be a muslim{my family must not hear}

Apart from this everything is so rosy and perfect .
Don't worship anyone's delusional God in the name of being a good wife.

Don't let anyone force you to do such.

Call his bluff on his blackmailing scheme.

As far as I am concerned, nothing is rosy if your husband has such a ******* mentality.

greatgenius: In your haste to reply you always fail to see the core of what i say.. you have a one track mind. you fail to live by your definition of intelligence.. one of my purpose for incarnating here is to teach so dont worry we will get there..
You are too dumb to judge intelligence. Shut up! grin

greatgenius: obviously your level of intelligence still cant decipher my "intelligence is love" statement so i will try it with another angle..like matter and energy, love is manifestation of intelligence just as matter is manifestation of energy.. on the other hand "evil" is manifestation of ignorance.. love is intelligence expressed.. like white and black being one and the same and likewise energy and matter so is intelligence and love... if you are not expressing love you are not expressing intelligence... like i stated earlier though i am not going to waste my time on this. your problem though as evidenced by your ignorance is that by LOVE you assume i am mean love as pertains to a relationship alone.
You are a person!

So intelligence is no more love? It is now love is a manifestation of intelligence? grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

"Love is intelligence expressed"? So please tell us if someone is demonstrating love that shows they are intelligent? grin

And if someone is so enraged with a paedophile and advocating that he is sentence to death for kidnapping, molesting and the killing children, then that person is not intelligent? He must show love and not hate? grin

person, can you see how you quickly get confused when you give a moronic opinion and it is challenged by someone that is actually intelligent? grin

As I said: You just thought "Fck it! This guy has caught me saying something daft. I am just going to throw as much moronic conjectures and assertions as possible to cover this one up and defend it. I no go carry last"? grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin

person said black and white are one! grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin grin I have never heard anything so stewpid. Just throw all the moronic conjectures and assertions to cover the shame of idiocy! grin

person, intelligence is not love. As I told you from the start, they are mutually exclusive. Your definition of intelligence was moronic!

greatgenius: yes everything in the universe is done because of love.. now there are different kinds of love but they are all different degrees of the same thing..humans have denoted the highest form of love as Good/God and the lowest form of it evil/Devil. but they are all the same thing just differemt degrees of expression of the same thing..

listen to this cus it is very important. NO ONE DOES ANYTHING WRONG BASED ON THEIR LEVEL OF PERCEPTION OR VIEW OF THEIR WORLD.. do you think the terrorist taht destroyed the world trade center thought they were doing something wrong/bad.. now based on the perception of your world it is an "evil" act but in their world it is not.. the terrorist actually thought they were doing a good..

see above
So the person that comes to your house to rob you is only showing you love? grin grin grin grin grin grin

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I would stick to these points for now so that your stewpidity is not buried under heaps of posts. I would gladly come back to the rest later.

I know you have reached the point, you are just doing "I no go carry last". grin
