It seems even the BBC have previously done a profile of the emerging Belgium national football team. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20052636I did not even know that Boyata was Belgian. And I wonder how anyone can place Hazard in a DM role. Or even in a CM role. I think that should have been Fellaini there. |

Katsumoto: You arrived in the UK in 1970 and only saw your first WC game in 2006!!!!! Were you working like 3 jobs at the same time which made time unavailable? AjanleKoko: Oh really. My first lucid World Cup was 'Espana 82. '86 I watched in more detail. Guess you never saw Gordon Strachan, Paul Breitner, Aziz Bouderbala, or Norman Whiteside play then Enemies, no spoil my show o! I am going to play for Nigeria in the next U-17 WC, una wan come dey pour sand for my garri. Me, Stanley Okoro and Fortune Chukwudi have re-registered with the U-17 again. We are going to win the next U-17 WC. Wicked men! Nigerians never like to see their fellow man progress. Once they see you at the cusp of success, they would find a way to bring you down. See dem! dayokanu: I tend to agree that there are more eligible women than men. Maybe this is where the assertion comes from
e.g if 10 boys and 10 girls were born
-------------------------------------------------------- On the men side
1 might have died in hustle e.g trekking to Europe, car racing, Peddling drugs, Oil bunkering and other high risk stuff men engage in
1 might have died in war or street violence
1 might be in jail.
1 might be GAYY
1 might think he needs to acquire the whole world before he marries since he doesnt have a biological clock
1 might just be an eternal playboy who think he is Gods gift to ALL women
1 might just be a bum who wouldnt work or get an education and just laze around which many women dont find attractive
Leaving the pool of eligible men with just 3 guys ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ On the female side
-Women dont die as much because they naturally avoid high risk ventures. -Dont go to war and dont do gangsterism, -They dont go to jail as much, -The notion of the biological clock puts a time pressure on them -The society frowns at "Playgirls" as against playboys -Most cultures dont expect much economic power from the woman so even a woman without 1 Naira sees herself as eligible unlike a man who might not be economically eligible even with 5million in his account
Therefore we might still have 7-8 eligible women
So ratio 3:7 Well said, negro! |

money121: WHAT IS YOUR OPINION? Most men have this notion that there are tons of women aroundthey could access so cheap. And yes, it definitely affects guy's commitment levels and their propensity to commit with one woman. The other thing worth pointing out here is that while men seem pre- occupied with the idea that there are plenty of fish in the sea ? women do this too, plenty of guys in the world. Most times you don’t see a lot of women doing it or at least promoting it because they’re a smaller subset of their gender than the amount of men who do it. Women typically put off a significant commitment for similar reasons as men;

Brazil mario zagallo n scolari------ experienced
Italy -------- trappatoni ----- experience
Viscount del bosque ------ experience
Beckenbauer ---- experience I doubt (I have not checked) Beckenbauer had any winning experience as a coach before he took West Germany to be WC winners. And Klinsmann had no experience when he took Germany to a WC Semi. |

pickabeau1: @Sagamite the problem with the Belgian team imo is the lack of a tactically superior coach who will compensate for their lack of tourney experience Honestly, I don't think there is anything like 'tourney experience' that can have negative impact for any major European team. And there are Managers that have done well without prior glories before. |

Scolari willgo dirty
Argentina seems to be getting some spine where it matters now - at the bACK Lets not deceive ourselves. If Neymar is removed from the Brazil equation, Brazil would still be able to beat virtually any national team. |

pmc01: SUBMISSION: If all the Christians who have unreasonably taken human lives rely on the verses above to justify their acts, should we crucify the whole of Christianity for this? The point is they are not. So why are Muslims rampantly doing such to justify killing and having no respect for life? I can tell you why, but I would let you answer yourself! |

deols: I think you are having an intellectual decline. Something's wrong with you. Probably senile in nature.
I didnt say that religion doesnt have a role. I only said ot is MUCH MORE..They play the religion card to get vulnerable Muslim youths into their fold. But I can tell you, there is more. Racial bigotry plays a role too. You may have read somalia12's posts yesterday. He didnt care much about Islam but the invasion of somalia by the Kenyans.
It only becomes very comfortable to just conclude, religion.
BTw, I wrote a long story enlightening you on the scenarios where Islam allowed fighting. Have you read that? I hope it is helpful. And I am telling your retarded self that religion is the driver and motivation for it. Power is just an outcome. Maybe their salad is not sweet enough might play a role but religion is the numero uno of what is happening. Don't ever think at your intellectual level you can derail your God! Only a reetard takes somalia12 seriously. That is as dumb as taking becomerich seriously. |

wayodude: Like we saw in the confed cup,it will take something more than special to beat Brazil when playing at home. The further they get in the tournament the harder it would be to knock them out.
Not many teams manage to beat Spain 3 nil in a competitive game.
Argentina while having a very good team will have almost zero neutral support in Brazil so that may be a factor too. Imagine Nigeria hosting a World Cup, i am sure not many Nigerians 'neutrals' will be cheering Cameroun when they take to the field. Forget all the talk about one africa lol
I was in Nigeria during Nigeria 99 World Youth Tournament and I was in the stadium in Bauchi to see the USA v Cameroun group match. All the Camerounians got were boos from 'us' me inclusive!
They lost 3-1 or something like that LoL Since they are next door to Brazil, and they are reasonably affluent on average, it would be their supporters that would pack the stadiums when they play. |

deols: The reason you think Islam is the factor is, you have failes to reason beyond your nose. Islam is used to gain empathy.
it is much more political and economic. The need for power too. If you look into the origin, you will find little Islam.
If anyone wants me to apologise because I am a Muslim, they should be ready to apologise on behalf of Nigerians for all the atrocities Nigerians commit. If you can not reason that out, I can help you no more. Really? Since you are speaking from far from your nose, right down to the back and out of your arsse, so are you telling us people of other faiths do not want power or have no political or economic agenda? So how come it is usually Muslims that use barbaric murder to express their political and economic agenda if "that is what it is about" and it has nothing to do with the religion? There is something in the water they drink or the kebab they eat? Stop chatting crap! It is RELIGION! |

deols: Let us help you out of your ignorance, omo Sagamu.
To start with, The prophet preached for 13 good years before he fought anyone. Most of those who accepted Islam were attracted by his GOoD Behaviour. Even before he became a prophet, he was known as the trustworthy.
when he brought the message his people were tormented, their property confiscated, etc.
They had to leave their own land(makkah), seeking assylum elsewhere. They went to Yathrib(Ethiopia) and finally settled in Madinnah.
While in Maddinah, they became a sovereignty as Madinnah was a land without a ruler and its people were divided among tribes. with the prophet's arrival, the people accepted him as their leader and the Islamic rule started there.
The idolators at makka just could not stand the growth and went ahead to fight a battle with the prophet. As a sovereign entity, it was only normal that they would protect themswlves. So they took up arms against the invaders.
Note that, they did not fight while under the pagan rulw in makkah nor did they start the fight in madinnah. You are talking crap! Don't think you can use moronic stories to deflect me. I asked a simple question: Are you saying there are no justifications for these actions in the Quran, the Hadith or the examples set by Mohammed?Don't ever think I am the type you can use referring to one section of the Quran saying A about something to hide that another section of Islam said B about the same thing. I did not go to your kindergarten. In the kindergarten I went to, we watched cartoons, drank milk and ate corn flakes. Not garri, pap and kewu. deols: Rules of engagement in Islam include that -
*You do not start the agression. *you do not harm women and children nor innocent civilians *you do not destroy farm produce and animals *you treat the prisoners of war right.(some prisoners were set free on the condition that they teach 10 muslims to read and write) **etc
so it is wrong for any group of Muslim, not under a rule nor as a government to take up arms against anybody
this is why boko haram and alshabab etc cannot be representing Islam nor Muslims. You cant say the same of hamas though. You are even confirming some of it. And what if you judge someone else has started the aggression like these Al-Shabaab have interpreted it? So they are justified to kill. What is the women and children are un-believers? Are you saying Mohammed himself did not order the killing of inno? Are you saying Mohammed himself did not order the killing and torture of captured prisoners of war? So he made the laws but at the same showed you how to break it and have justifications in the law for breaking it? |

[quote author=super_sun]I feel very sad each time Islam is coined a 'Religion of Violence'. When in fact it preaches peace. Sometimes I feel the violence is brought forward by poverty which paves way for 'Brain washing' and an eventual radicalism. wayodude: Guys please dont be using the fact that we were able to surprise people at the last AFCON as a barometer for measuring our strengths. Beating Ethiopia, CIV, Mali and Burkina Faso is very different from holding your own against established teams in the world cup. Even the usual 3rd rate teams i.e. Switzerland, Ecuador, Mexico, USA, Turkey, Japan, Greece etc (i guess you know what i mean by 3rd rate) are as strong as our current team. on our day we can beat them and on their day they'll beat us tidy!
As for the 2nd rate teams i.e. England, Portugal, Belgium, Sweden, etc (again i guess you know what i mean) will be confident in beating us rountinely!
Then the 1st rate teams (world class teams i.e Spain, Germany, Holland, Italy, Brazil, Argentina, France) apart from blind patriotism that tells you otherwise we have almost no chance!!...we can beat them on a very very good day but the good money is on them beating us without getting out of 1st gear.
with this analysis 2nd round is a good showing (we are still celebrating the 2nd round showing of 20yrs ago). A Quaterfinal appearance will be hugely successfull and the players will return to Nigeria as heroes forever, fact!
I wont say anything about a semi or final appearance because the fact is as at today, this is very very unlikely , nigh on impossible!
The bookies are offering odds of 250 to 1 on Nigeria winning the world cup. I guess that says it all....thats about the same odds you'll get on Aston Villa winning the Premiership. Nuff said. So brilliantly said! |

deols: The verses are revealed in relation to time and different occurrences. A knowledgeable Muslim knows that.
Anyone interested in getting off ignorance will also take the time to learn and understand that.
Unfortunately, for political reasons, some people have misinterpreted these things and have given the wrong interpretation to them. Lets address the ignorance issue. Are you saying there are no justifications for these actions in the Quran, the Hadith or the examples set by Mohammed? If so, please lecture us on how these guys were wrong, according to Islam. |
