Which one is the most important between bio disc and aerator .

robonski15: U can use both the bio disc and the aerator together, though they play different functions as an aerator pumps in oxygen into the water the bio disc energizes the water..

We have dealt extensively on the benefits of using the bio disc and aerator on previous posts..

excelsiorfarm: i dont think anyone is avoiding your question. I guess u are interested in weight gain, u need a drug that would aid FCR,aquapro & livestovit will assist,note no magic about it,if yr fishes are 600gram & u expect to hit 1kg in 17 days,u could have starter earlier, clean water will aid better eating rate in fishes,use of aerators too

As robonski rightly pointed out in the front page that if a fish farmer isn't hatching by his self, he has not start biz. i visited a farm today i can't believe the growth rate... less than 2months?.... Robonski!.... i'm IN for the pratical training

excelsiorfarm: for a starter,i advise catfish,make sure they are juveniles i.e 5-7 inches length,d risk of mortality is greatly reduce,a good fishfarmer wont sell u a fish he had fed,only greedy ones will sell on fed fishes on day of delivery.look for active ones & ask of age.GOD BLESS

robonski15: Sorting is as important as a good feed... Sort more thoroughly.. I sort at most from fingerlings stage every ten days, from juvenile every two weeks.. Sort them into sizes small, medium, and large.. Any small fish u see at the pond of the big size must repeat its class by taking the fish back to where the smaller ones are... And any big fish u see at the smaller fish pond, u have to quickly give such fishes double promotion to where its class is.. Its just like the school system where one has to repeat or be promoted... This is my mentality..

thanks robonski u are a God sent...yes the formular is the same just that maize is not yet there because they are still a month and goin to three weeks. i'll add maize when they are getin to three month...

i started using local feed after they clock a month, i know a farmer that uses local feed all thru and he has result to show for it. i witnessed his last havest he feed once per day, and that's wat i do now. though any feed that is still lower and rich to wat i use is wat am lookin for. it cost me #272 per kg... pls great farmer in the house tell me what i should know this is my second season in the biz. less i forget, the mortality in my farmer has stoped. thanks guys specially to robonski, excelsiorfarm, ab1x and every1 that share his experience here. pls continue the good work we are loving it (especially the newbies like me)

how much is ranan fish feed in the market pls, and can 1 stop formula feed and continue with ranan or vital fish feed. thanks always

@ aquatic thank u, @ excelsior... my fish are 6 weeks and 2 days i formulates their feed and i change water every 3rd or 4th day. tarpaulin pond size is 8x8=210, 8x8=260 (and also tell me how many can my pond stock till table size 8ft x 8ft x 3.5ft). how should i apply the tetracyclin and @aquatic would i move them out if i want to rewash the tarpaulin (though this is my second stockin o not first).

thanks aquatic1, i cried out yesterday and some1 in my area told me that 1 cann't do without one or two mortarlity like that but i may buy drugs like: Folic Acid, Em-B-Plex, Paulio streptomycin sulphate injection, chloromphenicol, tetracycline treat them and i did that yesterday and today 1 has died...
