I thought 12v battery needs 12v rated charging devices(12vbattery charger,12vsolar panels) PLS explain.

With the right charge controller, it doesn't matter the panels you use in as much as it is within the VOC of the charge controller it should work flawlessly.
Just invest in a good controller and the rest is history.

It's funny I only hear of 12v and 24v panel discussions on nairaland, seems the world has left us behind.

I stay in the same locality with the said seller but immediately I mentioned pickup of a particular set of sneakers, she stopped responding to my messages. I just left her and moved on.

If u have her personal contact as you say you do, why not contact her to come clear her name. Just my 2kobo. Cheers........

I've been trying to update my RN9S manually and I've been getting this particular error message everytime,

Updates are incremental and must be followed in sequence, you must get the exact update after version 12.0.3. I also noticed that most people who didn't update as at when 12.0.3 was released, that they couldn't update afterward, so the only option then was to unlock bootloader and flash a more recent firmware, I might be wrong but I don't think that has changed, I stand to be corrected.

I need help here please.
I use a Growatt SPF 5000 ES,
Connected to 16s DIY LFP cells
And 16s 200a ANT BMS

At first, I set my charging voltage to 3.6 X 16 = 57.6v, float voltage to 3.5 X 16 = 56.0v,
but after so much information gathering here and there, I settled for 56.0v as charging voltage and 55.2v as float voltage.

But irrespective of the times I made the changes above, I am always having problems with the BMS. Sometimes it charges to 90% and stops charging, other times 38%, 68%, but if I reset the BMS, it will continue charging and eventually reach 100%.

This is now beginning to happen on daily basis, but before I go ahead and change the BMS to JBD, I want to be sure what could wrong please? I have sold the system to a client after few months use and I am beginning to look like a bad man now, energy initiates come to my rescue abeg

Check your individual cell parameters and confirm that they are equivalent to the total pack set parameters as cell parameters over-rides pack parameters.

Lastly, use settings as provided by @Valto

In our private backchannel thread, this same matter has come up for discussion with other users sharing similar experiences

The ones marked pass are the ones I have found to go the distance. The more complex ones with multiple pages of functions including delay and recovery settings and notably a voltage calibration function easily go off kilter and become unreliable.

Without raining on anyone's parade, those particular models - Tomzn branded - tend to be very failure prone - the ones with complex functions numbered from 1 to 13 or so.

Meanwhile the older gen ones with just 3 - 5 menu screens/functions were rock solid reliable.

Some people may have or have had a better experience with them than I did

Can u share pictures and specs of models that has worked for you, links will be highly appreciated...

From mile 2 to Oshodi, take Yaba from Oshodi, at Yaba you either take a tricycle or bus going to Iwaya, drop at Grace House or Onike girls junior secondary school, they're opposite each other. Cheers
