Fashion › Re: How I Keep My Tummy Flat On A Nigerian Diet by saintfizzo(m): 3:23pm On Feb 13, 2016 |
OP U are BAE for this piece fashionengineer: http://www.thefashionengineer.com/2015/10/27/how-i-keep-my-tummy-flat-on-a-nigerian-diet/
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Isn’t it annoying whenever you look up diet tips, there’s like all of this oyinbo food that you don’t even eat anyway? Well don’t worry, I’m going to keep it 100% real with you all, like yeah I’m Nigerian-American, but in my house growing up, it was strictly Nigeria. I cook Nigerian food probably like 90% of the time, and when I’m on the go I will pick up a hamburger or something if I have a lot of programming work to do and I don’t have the time to cook. Okay so I’m going to share with you all some diet tricks and tips that I use to get my stomach flat, because Nigerian food is nice, but sometimes it can be extremely fattening, and it SHOWS!
Why are you putting all of that oil in your stew Stop it. Just calm down. Take a step back and ask yourself if you really need ALL of that oil in there. It may take some time to get used to cooking with less oil, but if you start by cutting down an eighth every time, you’ll slowly get used to it. Also, if you can try cooking your soup/stew with extra virgin olive oil, even better if it is LIGHT extra virgin olive oil.
Indomie Does Not Count As Nigerian Food Like for real ladies, stop playing. Stop being lazy. If you can cook it that fast, you can gain the fat even faster. Have you ever looked at the nutritional values on the back of a package of Indomie? Research has even shown that the consumption of too many instant noodles leads to heart attacks/ heart disease. Not only does Indomie cause belly fat, but TOO many instant noodles could be detrimental to your health. Just cool it on the Indomie. Just don’t even buy it. I only allow myself to eat one pack of Indomie a month. It’s just not worth it to me.
Don’t attack me please.. But leave that iyan alone. You have to! I know a lot of you all love your iyan. I love my iyan too. I promise. But it’s like extremely fattening. You would gag if you knew how many calories were in one cup. Another high calorie food is semolina, which doesn’t really mean much to me, because I don’t care for the taste of semo to be honest. Sorry for all you ladies that do (610 calories a cup! Chai! but that’s still better than iyan!)…And this is why eba will always be BAE. Forever and a day! 110 calories per cup. Does it get any better than that? Don’t judge me, but I eat a lot of eba, and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. You don’t have to eat eba, but if you want to eat other foods, just be aware of the calorie intake, and eat in moderation.
If you can, eat brown rice and leave that white rice alone Brown rice actually has about 15 more calories per serving than white rice, but here’s the thing, brown rice is A LOT LESS PROCESSED THAN WHITE RICE. What this means is that brown rice is going to breakdown properly in your system and go through all of the steps of your digestive system, leaving you with less of a glucose level spark. What does that mean? That means you will feel a lot FULLER after you eat brown rice, than when you eat white rice. And that will lead to less snacking. Less snacking? That’s good!
Egusi Is Bae..Forever Egusi has one of the fats that your body actually needs! It is rich in Omega 3’s! This not only helps you lose weight, but it helps your hair grow stronger and faster! So make that egusi soup, but like all things, that doesn’t mean you should overdo it! |

Culture › Re: Benin Kingdom In Edo Is Yoruba Territory — Ooni Of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi by saintfizzo(m): 10:10am On Feb 11, 2016 |
Tunami: the binis are saying that there is nothing like oba in yorubaland but its a lie because even before they start using the title (oba) people are already answering the name. Sango's second wife's name name is Oba who according to history turned into a river in IWOLAND. . Bro the pronunciation is different,Oba (sango's wife) is pronounced with the intonation signs "re" "do", while oba (king) is pronounced with signs "re" "re".... |
Jokes Etc › The Better Thief by saintfizzo(op): 10:59am On Feb 06, 2016 |
During a robbery, the bank robber shouted to everyone in the bank: “Don’t move. The money belongs to the State. Your life belongs to you.” Everyone in the bank laid down quietly. This is called “Mind Changing Concept” Changing the conventional way of thinking. When a lady lay on the table provocatively, the robber shouted at her: “Please be civilized! This is a robbery and not a rape!” This is called “Being Professional” Focus only on what you are trained to do! When the bank robbers returned home, the younger robber (MBA-trained) told the older robber (who has only completed Year 6 in primary school): “Big brother, let’s count how much we got.” The older robber rebutted and said: “You are very stupid. There is so much money it will take us a long time to count. Tonight, the TV news will tell us how much we robbed from the bank!” This is called “Experience.” Nowadays, experience is more important than paper qualifications! After the robbers had left, the bank manager told the bank supervisor to call the police quickly. But the supervisor said to him: “Wait! Let us take out $10 million from the bank for ourselves and add it to the $70 million that we have previously embezzled from the bank”. This is called “Swim with the tide.” Converting an unfavorable situation to your advantage! The supervisor says: “It will be good if there is a robbery every month.” This is called “Killing Boredom.” Personal Happiness is more important than your job. The next day, the TV news reported that $100 million was taken from the bank. The robbers counted and counted and counted, but they could only count $20 million. The robbers were very angry and complained: “We risked our lives and only took $20 million. The bank manager took $80 million with a snap of his fingers. It looks like it is better to be educated than to be a thief!” This is called “Knowledge is worth as much as gold!” The bank manager was smiling and happy because his losses in the share market are now covered by this robbery. This is called “Seizing the opportunity.” Daring to take risks! So who are the real robbers here? |

Politics › FCT Minister's Son Nabbed With 3million Dollar Car by saintfizzo(op): 4:47pm On Feb 05, 2016 |
Hey fellaz, a friend sent me this on whatsapp... I don't live in abuja to confirm but it's worth my read... HAVE YOU HEARD ================= . Abdullahi Bala, 25yr old son of former federal capital territory minister, Bala Mohammed, just bought a $3m (N900m) 2016 McLaren super Luxury car, for racing and stunts. . Abdullahi Bala, is the president of CORSA motor Sports Club of Abuja. CORSA is an umbrella body of wealthy Nigerians with robust interest in car racing and vehicle stunt performances. . The car though attracts an import duty of N120m, but the bobo played a fast one with some disgruntled elements in the customs and cleared the car with about N300,000. But unknown to them, things have changed. So the car has been impounded, and bobo was nabbed, and later released on bail to go and get the balance of N119.7m, before he begins to explain to us how he got such money. . You see? A boy of 25yrs without any known means of livelihood, bought a car of N900m, just N100m short of N1b, but you that cannot afford T fare from Ikeja to CMS to go and submit your CV, is daily on social media, supporting them for looting this country dry and flaunting it on your face. Shame on those that support Treasury Looters. |

I once negotiated the price for the repair of my shoe with an Aboki, I reduced it from 100 to 50

macklef: Afeelya. Thats a way to think. He should negotiate better with his personal purchase in millions. If he bargains sometin of 300mill for 290mil he saved 10mill. Thats significant Not bargaining 5k for 1k n saving 4k just because its a common man. Then he will use that 4k+40k to buy wine dat he will drink n not finish. Pftttttttt lol.... U so on point wiv that |
