:Hi Angeless, I just started this sweet story of yours and realised some pages have been taken off. Please, kindly send the complete story to Iyke.tlc@gmail.com. Thanks dear. |
Everyone is entitled to choose what they find as entertainment. As for Zeeworld most of their movies are far too childish for a matured mind. I think they act for children. The only one that makes a little sense at the beginning. Always ends like a child's play. But. Talking of Telemundo, I would rather watch Telemundo than any of these stereotype Nollywood movies. I love Telemundo because of the nice fashionable outfitsas well as the content of their movies. Most Nollywood movies lack content and have similar storyline, you always know the way they will end. Football is real entertainment too. But I still know people that see football as foolishness, they ask "how can grown men be chasing ball around, sweating for 90mins. So Jim Iyke should shut up! And stop talking as if he acts better than those Telemundo and Zeeworld stars. |
Chummzypinky, I must commend you for your brilliant use of dialogue to tell a beautiful story. I can rightly say you are the Nairaland Queen of dialogue. Its the dialogue technique you employed that kept me glued till the end.. But all the same I have to say I was dissapointed with your finishing, it lacked the finesse That you used throughout the story, I'm not saying this cause it ended in tragic way not at all. Maria was a character introduced later in the story turned out to be the major antagonist, her character was never defined no famly, no history besides wanting Nathan for herself. You even gave her superhuman powers of being able to know a DNA test was to be performed, how and where it was going to be done as well as the abilty to manipulate the result without having a link to the hospital or lab. Jolade would have even been a more apt character for the manipulation of the DNA or even Jolade's mum...not Maria who had no very strong established motive for vengence. I want to believe your muse wasn't with you when you wrote the later part of the story cause it was a lazy end to a very beautiful story. Or perhaps you were tired and just wanted to end anyhow. I am saying all these because I know. You can do much better, you are a very talented story teller. GOD has gifted you with a beautiful talent that can take you places. Advice: Flow with the tides. Whenever, you don't feel the usual flow of joy when you create your story, take a break from it and get back the joy then continue. Stay Blessed and keep soaring high.....Much love. |
Accord Party is prominent in Delta state because it was initially formed by PDP in Delta state, in a bid to frustrate the governorship ambition of Great Ogboru. It later grew to become a platform for aggrieved PDP members who didn't get a ticket to the house to push forward their ambition, from being a dummy party ACCORD has grown beyond what PDP could control to a Party ready to Stand and Via for bigger positions. |
The Church maybe a "place of worship" but it is also a more of "place of social gathering" if you doubt it ask those that go there to look for wife or husband. You are even told to go around and shake your neighbours. That is a social place. Ask yourself your motive for going to church? If it is to look for a babe or dude. Then dress to catch one and be on the look out for one. For like attracts like. So if your aim is to worship, go prepared, meditate at home so your concentration is 100%. You attention will be fully in place. You won't go to church and be looking around like you are in a market place checking for goods. I am speaking from experience cos those days I go to church to worship, I was always so focussed that people ask me did you see lady that sat in front of you, she was dressed like a this and that , my response was always I didn't notice. |
She is using style to advertise for suitors, thinking garri is the key to a man's stomach... well man shall not live by garri alone, a real woman does a whole lot of other things that may never include garri. Some real women don't even eat garri. Besides, real women don't go announcing on social media, unless the desperate fake ones. Let your product speak for you. If you are that industrious others will sing your praises. |
For all those wishful thinkers using style to wish a change in government by fake sympathetic appeal. PMB is our President till 2019 Deal with it. Nigerians elected PMB knowing he is old and have health challenges. Nobody knows Buhari better than he knows himself, the idea that a cabal is controlling him is mischievous except someone is saying he doesn't reason for himself. If the President is still breathing and living, he is still our president, there is nothing anybody can do about that except you have a case against him backed by the constitution. Stop pretending to love him more than himself, even he dies serving Nigeria, its his right because we gave it to him. So let's stop complaining About his health, because he knows what is best for him, and we have entrusted him with thhe mandate to do what he feels is best for the nation(yes, that's how important voting in a president is) Allow him do it or take back the mandate given to. Him through constitutional means otherwise shut up till 2019 and by then vote with your head not your Emotions. |
Always seeking for notice....You have been noticed but please try call him monkey to his face not on social media and we will see which of you two will end up in the zoo. |
I like this man, he doesn't follow the crowd. He stands alone, meaning he can stand for the truth. He is indeed a lion. I also wondered why the Obasanjo's presidential library was launched again this year. After the previous launch during the Obasanjo regime. All these piliticians are highly corrupt. I respect Fayose he may not be perfect but he is a sincere crusader, unlike Fani Kayode, who tells more lies than truth.
|
Fani Kayode never fails to amuse me. He kept queit all these while and after OPC leader Ganiyu speaks, he suddenly finds his voice. One thing I can say about Fani Kayode is that he is not only mischievous but makes up stories just to validate his selfish points. Fani Kayode obviously loves only one person and that is himself....I have followed several of his writings especially as regards Hausa/Fulani's Christians/Muslims. From his allegations of a plane hovering over T.B Joshua's Terbanacle before the building crashed to his previous write up on the Nzegwu led military coup( how he painted his uncle S.L Akintola and the corrupt politicians of that period as saints) and the coup plotters as demons who were punished severely as according to him they died disgraceful deaths. A true Christian seeks peace by all means. "By all means be at peace with all men" is a verse in the bible. Its so sad that he is still trying to play politics with this senseless killings of both tribes. All lives are precious whether Northerners or Southerners. Christians or Muslims. The problem with Nigeria is that the so much talked about One Nigeria is a theory in practice reverse is the case. If we practise one Nigeria, we wouldn't see Ife as Yoruba land and the Hausa Fulani as the alien immigrant and We wouldn't call Kano hausa land and the Yoruba man an alien immigrant. In the United states a US citizen is a US citizen regardless of religion or state. So either we are One Nigeria or Multiple Nigeria living under one government. Its high time we start telling ourselves the truth so we can move forward as a nation or as a confederation. |
The truth is too bitter for you to swallow right? Sorry dear, let me tell how to handle it. Take it sip by sip as you would red wine, savour it, then swallow. Its not that bitter afterall. And you are welcome! Donjazzy12: |
In civilised countries when there is an assassination or murder case, the press, the police, forensic detectives, jump to perform their investigation. But alas! In my country when there is a murder case, suicide case, all you hear is it is well, eyah, rest in peace, some people even go speculating, no one, not even the Press so called forth estate of realm call for investigation not even our state representatives. Why won't every murder, suicide case go down as unsolved. No one wants to solve them. So such crime will continue and will eventually lead to a failed state. I really wonder what the work of the Nigerian Police is? Civil defence? SSS? Everything about the forces is centred in governance. Nobody cares about the governed. Only the life of government personnel and people in authority matter. This isn't democracy. This is government of the people, for the government by the government. The Press has failed Nigeria woefully, I wonder if our journalist watch Aljazeera, CNN, BBC to really understand the responsibility of the press. |
Very stupid comment. If women are evil then men are more evil. Is it men that don't cheat and smile at their babes and wives? You mean women are stronger to bear such from men without carrying a gun to kill like OJC/Kalu. What goes for the goose should also go for the gander Donjazzy12: |
I just started following this thread. I am enjoying your story. I see much improvements as the chapter progresses..I hope it continuous that way. Nice characterisation, nice dialogue and sequence build up.. Keep it coming dear.. |
I wish him good health. If only he had patronized our traditional herbalist well grounded in traditional cures or at least gone to China (they are the best in traditional medicines/herbal cure) instead of UK. I'm sure he would have been healed by now. Most of those drugs hospitals and pharmaceuticals dish out are more toxic. Its more like death by instalment. Imagine all the chemicals pumped into his system at this old age. Get well soon. Let's learn to use our local herbs for cure. |
I love that folktale so much, the song especially... |
This is love and service to humanity. GOD is love. The Priest really knows GOD, and loves GOD, to leave comfort and come to serve for 50years in rural community.... That's commendable. Not many of us can do that. Our modern day pastors and will rather enjoy luxury than mix up with the poor.....off course the reason is that they are serving a rich GOD. |
Pray tell us who is this special talent spotted by Tinubu? Shettima?, Buhari?, Fashola probably or Ambode.... DonLo: |
Actually it is far from serious its only a joke. I see you guys just lost your job and came to your sences. madridguy: |
Really! This doesn't follow your usual script. You job is to defend the APC govt and its agencies at all cost. Have you forgotten who pays your bills. Ok, I see you have been sacked from BMC cos of your overzealousness and senseless arguments. Welcome back to reality then... sarrki: |
You are not a good employee, you have no respect for you employers, not only did you spy on him/her but you also came here to share the info. Do you know if your employer is also a nairalander? Is the person not an adult to know what is good for him or her. Why not tell him of the risk instead of sharing it on Nairaland. Snow84: |
This is serious. Religion is really madness. So GOD only answers serious prayers in Jerusalem or Saudi Arabia. Oh GOD! who will cure Africa, from this disease called Religion. Why go to Jerusalem to pray? Is our body not GOD's holy land/Temple? I hope public funds wasn't spent on the foolish adventure. |
Must you spoil the fun with this your very dry joke. I guess you didn't take literature in school hence you don't know how to follow the ryhme and rhythm of the creative work by the Op. IpobExposed: |
The truth will one day be revealed and all those involved in the conspiracy to treat people's daughters like pawns in their political game of self interest will be surely as their children will experience worse end.... |
They will then go to Russia India South Korea Denmark Brazil Thailand Ukraine UAE Saudi Arabia Newzealand evilspirit: |
Now I know for sure this guy belongs to a mental home. Someone who knows him should please, please ooo take him off the street cos he is potentially harmful to himself. sarrki: |
Cowards die many times before their death, a Vilian dies but once. That young man is surely not a coward no matter his beliefs and lifetime aspirations but of you I am not sure but i can see you so scared of death. Do have a reality check death or transition from this physical earth is an inevitable path we all must one day follow (Its really not scary, maybe only to those that are too ego conscious). The young had come, seen and conquered, only his maker knows if the cause was a worthy one or not. idbami2: |
Why the Announcement? We haven't light since last year October. Everyone on my street have two gen sets. A big one to power light in the day and a small ''I better pass my neighbour to sleep till morning..so ride on. We don't care. Thank GOD for Fashola who saved us from paying fixed charges. Otherwise whenever light comes we would have been paying thousands in fixed charges. |
Red Is The Freedom Road" is the title of Femi Osofisan's play. I have seen that Red Is indeed the freedom road only the brave few dare to take that path...At such a young age, you were killed for your beliefs and desire for self expression. May your sacrifice not be in vain. In Martin Luther Kings voice, Free at Last! Free at Last! Thank GOD Almighty You Are Free At last! Now I see why some1 would call Nigeria a zoo, he was just a teenager, a young lad.. |
In the wake of the recent attacks and killings of Nigerians living and doing business in South Africa. I want to use this platform to call on all Patriotic Nigerians to Stop patronising all South African companies in Nigeria. If you have MTN lines port to Glo, Airtel or Etisalat, which are even much better brands. Don't pay your DSTV or Gotv subscription. As for shoprite, no Nigerian nationwide should shop in there. The workers in these establishment should start a sit at home protest. Enough is Enough, if the government won't do anything, we the citizens can. |
Hiss!!! Bunch of pretenders. Which culture, which values? These same politicians are the ones that will go after the girls and boys from the show. They didn't demand the FG stop the unlawful killings, the economic downturn, the epileptic power supply, the high cost of food. It is big brother that is so important. Maybe some of you are scared those housemates will get drunk and expose your secrets. As far as I am concerned Nigerian culture died in the 70s and early 80s long before many of us were born. We have adopted western culture. Let's stop trying to deceive africa and indeed the world. The housemates are representing wella...that's who we are, they represent the political and social class...Deal with it . |
Two men where voted to be governors of their state in the same period of Nigerian history. Both had the following in common: 1. They are thieves. 2. They both used the state funds to build business and political empires. 3. They are benevolent with their loot( But only to loyalists, who would worship and revere them. 4. They are both respected king makers in the political field they play( the sheikh is so grounded that even in prison he is able to control the state machinery of governance) 4. They both fought to give Nigeria a president they felt they could control; The Sheikh tried by all means to keep the late Pres. Yaradua on sit so he could control proceedings, Jagaban gave Nigeria a President with his very own personal puppet Vice President( he wasn't gambling, he is mafia and knows how to set up presidents and bring them down). 5. They are both feared and idolised by their followers and political protégés. This is where the similarities end. This brings us to the differences between them. 1. One has expanded his empire and control to include the Nigerian media, of whom he is a grand patron, be it the social media, the broadcast media and the print media. While the other wasn't smart enough to foresee such a future of using the media as a shield. 2. One fell into a trap set by the former President GEJ and was arrested in UK, where he was forced to pay for his looting crimes against his state, as his state didn't have the clout to make him pay. While the other knew the game too well that he played GEJ by giving him his support over Yaradua and ensured his freedom from probe. Also giving him time to plot his total control of the Nigerian political field. 3. The EFCC has been nice and kind to the one who hasn't paid for his loots or served any jail term. But the other with only support from his state, no national power backing him still has a lot to answer for from EFCC. 4. The supporters of the sheikh thief have been castigated by all media, while the fans of the Jagaban thief belief he is a political god, and so does the media. Now the question is: What do you think will be the fate of these two thieves in the next four years? |
