Ibnsultan: students should have a copy each with proof of sch fees payment.
About 3months ago he went for 1.5m for ebola project. It was the speaker that block the scam. Infact he wanted to choice the so called new house members wit out election it was opposition by some house members that stoped him. Us we just the look the Guy. #TeamGamjiUniAbuja
All his antics will come out on play. You will know there is something fishy when somebody doesn't want to follow rule of law. That means he is out to steal. Using students money to pay loan!
Haba!
Lol. I did not get any kerosene oo! So my 2K SUG fee should be used to reduce price of Kigali food not to repay loan. cheesy

Dannyxy: ooooooohhooooo. which one is all this one now, we are discussing another thing, you saying something else.

abi make I use pidgin, abeg bros, you fit help us confirm the resumption date?
Dude! I won't lie to you, this is 10:30PM and I can't call any insider at this time. It skipped my mind to even ask of the resumption date but I earlier saw the Academic Calender making rounds and assumed it is true.
Maybe Tomorrow I'll ask, I'm kinda busy preparing to host a National student Program so my going to School Tomorrow will be if any of the profs or Dr's call me because I submitted letter of support to them.
My instinct tells me the October 27 date for fresher and Nov 3rd for returning students (stallites) should be the correct one.

This however is not a fact, just my instinct. Good night bro! And chill ok? By God's grace you will soon be begging for holiday when gwagwalada sun don mammma you! cheesy

Ibnsultan: . The dude has been fighting the parliamentarians from the start. Accusing them of working 4 Yar'adua. Perlumi wants 2 pay back his loan with SUG money
What hurts me is that this Union is suppose to bring to life the democratic culture, loan or no loan, the Union is not his personal property.
I had he borrowed 5 million naira from EcoBank(still rumour though) for his campaign, that his why he wants a parliament that won't query him or raise an eyebrow when he starts looting SUG money for personal gain.

How can he say only LAW student can be in the judiciary because only them understand law.
Who are those in Judiciary of Polytechnics, College of Edu and Federal Universities of Tech who don't have Law students.
Law students have always been in Uniabuja but the constitution says other faculties must be represented in the Union so that judgement won't be lopsided.

He wants his course mates to be the only arbiter of Justice and he wants his loyalist to be speaker? Haba! Only Dictators and democracy haters do this.

We all need to have our constitution. In other schools, if you pay for School fees, you will take your teller to SUG for registration and there an then, Freshers are given the constitution so that they too will know what is expected.
EducationRe: University Of Abuja 2017/2018 Admission Updates by sakaguchi(m): 10:03pm On Oct 02, 2014
Also, the SUG election does not invalidate the one conducted last semester, this election is an accretion election as the SUG constitution said that parliament will have reps from all faculties (2 each), from all departments (1 each) and from all halls of residence in the school Hostels (1 each). So far, what we have is only 2 from each faculty making them to be 22 parliamentarians. These setting above should increase the number to Eighty Something parliamentarians.

I had that Pelumi don't want parliament again because the people who won are not his people. He wanted Ben's friend to be the speaker because Ben stepped down for him. He and Ben took an oath with the Holy Bible that Prince (Ben's friend) will be the speaker. To achieve this, Prince resigned from his post as speaker from Chemistry and bought parliamentary form. He lost the election and tried to rig it. However, his election was overturned and Pelumi is mad. Pelumi, from what I heard want to control every arms of government like a dictator. He doesn't want the parliament to be big because then, they will have enough power to query him. However, every department can now have a departmental rep.

Also, Each faculty is suppose to have one rep in the Judiciary. Pelumi want only law student to be in the Judiciary. However, the constitution says each faculty will have one rep and Law faculty will have 6 reps.

These are some of the pending elections that must be fixed.

Uniabuja students! Shine your eyes, the union is for everybody and not for Pelumi alone, go into government, be in government. It is a Union Government not a Kingdom hence the name SUG as against SK.

Pick up your forms and be in the parliament. I was in a lecture with Jude Imagwe ( Special Adviser to the President on Youths and Students matters) last week in Uniben and he said he spent 3 years non-stop in Unibens parliament and that had built his leadership skills until he became NANS president.

Make sure you demand for your constitution, we are paying 2 thousand naira for SUG every session, a constitution of 30 pages won't cost anything for Pelumi to give us as receipt. Knowledge is power, without knowledge, people will cheat you. If we have the constitution, we can say Yes when people want to say no!

Lol.
MrPresido, I struggled to read what you posted earlier. Too much abbreviation made it look like Russian.

I don't know why you and the other guy pietee like arguing much sha!

Admission in Uniabuja is first by merit, educationally less develop area and quota system makes it 3rd n 2nd. There is nothing like catchment area as all states in Nigeria are Unibuja's catchment area.

Jamb send the results of all applicants to a school by late July or early August, Merit list is compiled by the school and the school send it to Jamb to be uploaded.

Forget about all your experience with Uniabuja in the last 4 years, what we had was an idiot with earpiece giving admission as if the university is a nursery school. The same is not true with this new VC.

What we expect is Merit list, 2nd list with quota system and ELD area, staff request n VC list. The reason why somebody with 230 will get admission while another with a higher score fail is purely because of the quota system. When I came to Uniabuja 265 did not give me MBBS, rather I was given Vet Medicine, I saw people with 238 in MBBS thereafter, however, all the people in MBBS from my state had above 265. I sat for Jamb the next year and 275 got me MBBS, what I'm trying to say is, somebody's chance of getting admission in the quota system depends on how competitive his/her state is.

Adelabu era is gone. The shenanigans he called admission process is gone with him.

Also,do they offer medicine&surgery?
I need an urgent answer@Kingobasi..
Kindly drop ur number/username..If you are on any social network..preferably,whatsapp..*KINGOBASI*
Admission into the college of Health Sciences University of Abuja will commence this year.
As you know, admission was earlier suspended because of accreditation issues. Right now, medicine and surgery has full NUC accreditation and will admit into 100L students who applied for MBBS in this 2014 Jamb only.

All the preclinical students would have progressed to the University of Abuja Teaching hospital by march next year. They were grouped into 3 sets. The first set started clinicals March 2014, the 2nd set will start theirs 28 August 2014 and the last set will start theirs March 2015.

LoL!
You guys are funny sha! Fighting for relevance on Nairaland is not worth it.

When I was searching for admission, I got info from people on campus freely. I got info on nairaland and other social media. Freely I got, freely I will give. I was so bad I never told any of the informants "THANK YOU", I don't even comment, I just view and log out. For that sake, I don't want anybody's thank you. Like it or not @Castro and @Presido, if both of you don't give the info, somebody else will. @Presido has being giving info here and I see no reason why anybody will chastise him. He gives, you give, we give. It doesn't make anybody man of the moment. Lol. "Man of the moment" that's really funny shaa!

All aspirants should read their books. There is nothing in Past questions that is not in your books.
2. Nobody knows if the post UTME is going to be exam based.

2014 jambites should just be prepared for post UTME, never take anything to chance, by the way, vote PELUMI for SUG president.
EducationRe: University Of Abuja 2017/2018 Admission Updates by sakaguchi(m): 1:15am On Aug 01, 2014
Let me delve in here a little, Uniabuja law faculty had accreditation ab initio. The deplorable administrative incompetence of the former Vice Chancellor made it impossible for them to retain it. Accreditation status is reviewed by NUC every 5 years. What this means is that, they visited law last year and were not impressed hence they suspended their accreditation. However, students already in the faculty can all graduate, only new admission has been grounded.

With all honesty, I don't know what will be of the 2013/14 applicants who applied for law and were given admission. One thing is clear, their admission came out before the suspension of accreditation. So, there may be two ways to go about it, they may be admitted on the merit of the above fact that I gave that their admission came before suspension, or, they will be admitted into other sister Faculties e.g political science, economics etc all in faculty of social science. However, as I said earlier, I am not sure of this.

For all those talking about tradition, make no mistake, this VC does not bear semblance in anyway like the outgoing VC, the man is posh and exudes respect sequestered in a lofty panache. So don't expect things to be as usual. During Nuhu Yaqub tenure, Post UME is on the first two weeks of 2nd semester. However, 2nd semester is already winding up. Our school will resume 2014/15 session late september or early October, my assumption is that post UTME will come within this window of now till then. Convocation is not for new students oo! Convocation is by February and by then, we should be writing 1st semester exams or be in 1st semester holiday. Please don get this confused. Matriculation should be by Dec or early January, this will be when the final list will come out I.e VC list.
However, for each of the list coming out (1st, 2nd or VC list) admission is going to be 50-50 between 2013/14 set and 2014/15 set.

2014/15 set who have not started reading should please do, nobody knows how the post UTME will be, even the VC promise not to interfere in the process which will be strictly handled by ethic committee, it may be oral interview, screening or written exams, so take note.

By God's grace, professor Adikwu will be the best thing to have ever happened to this school.
Among is 37 point agenda, uniabuja should by God grace never go on any avoidable strike, all faculties/dept without accreditation will be given, Pharmacy faculty will be created and drafted into the college of health science together with the 3 faculties medicine already have. Admission into pharmacy and law will be in 3 years time. Admission into engineering may be this year (I doubt) or next year. Admission into medicine, vet medicine and agric this year is 100% certain.
Congrats everybody.
EducationRe: University Of Abuja 2017/2018 Admission Updates by sakaguchi(m): 7:11am On Jul 31, 2014
So what I said has being proven correct. Also, there will be parliamentary elections shortly after SUG elections. Post UTME for 2014/15 set may come any time soon...be prepared. I have the new VC number but I got it base on trust and base on what I and other students have being doing prior to all of these hoopla. I don't think it is right to give it out, besides, on the complimentary card he gave me before flying out 2 days back, it is still "prof Michael Adikwu University of Nigeria NNSUKA" he is back to school though. So basically, I was privy to have it. However, I will seek for the Personal assistant to the VC number, that one should be for everybody naa, as soon as I get it, I will paste it here.

There won't be admission to law this year.

Engineering is still in doubt but if you are in school you will see all that is being done by the senate to finish their workshop in p site. So they may or may not be admission into engineering this year.

Medicine, vet medicine and Agric have all being cleared with full accreditation. So admission will be given to them.

Some people in 2013/14 set may get admission into vet medicine and agric, however, I'm not sure they will get into medicine.

Admission into medicine is not given to people on a platter of gold, only 2014/15 set applied for admission into medicine and as such, only them will be considered.
Apart from that, all the admission will be on a 50-50 basis.

Unibuja will not embark on a strike any time soon even if the National ASUU embark on strike.

Vote wisely between Yaradua, pelumi, Babatee, shayo, Ben, Bestman. If any of this student play chicanery, withdraw your votes as it means they are not being sincere.

BSc Biology, Microbiology, Physics, Chemistry, industrial chemistry, Statistics, Agric. Mbbs and DVM vet medicine, all of you are welcome. Incase any one requires help, info or advice, hit me up on this thread of course. I'll be glad to help.
Have a wonderful day.

Remember, election is 5th August, use the hashtag #SUGElection2014 on twitter to post any observations, anomaly or suggestions. Thank you.
