RomanceRe: Do Girls Feel Bad When Guys Call Them "Chick"? by sakaguchi(m): 3:24pm On Dec 25, 2013
fursh: Any gurl that knows the meaning of the word "chick" would get offended but some dat doesn't, wouldn't mind when someone calls them that. Chick simply means newly hatched birds. If you were a gurl, would you love to be called that? Don't think so

The word should be chic, which means elegance, stylishness and good looking. Every gurl loves compliment, so they wouldn't mind that.

Note that you can't tell d difference when pronounced but can do dat only when written.

Maybe you just need to change d spelling from "chick" to "chic" on the thread's topic, then we would be talking about a total different thing

Merry xmas OP
So how is being called newly hatched bird bad? People call their partners honey, do you know the meaning of "honey"

NB, the name doesn't matter, its the love behind the calling that counts, some folks call their husbands "daddy". I had a local babe once that calls me sweaty dafuq! cheesy cheesy cheesy

Merry xmas to you fursh.

I never knew stupidity is part of your features. From someone with an appellation of "Aphrodite", your above post should be considered a disgrace.

Why not use your frustration to write something meaningful about the thread. It is about the pitiable state of GH universities. Find something productive doing.
PS
Don't litter the thread with nonsense again while doing it.

Aphrodite4: Obviously you are one of those Nigerians with a fixed (and warped) mental image of single women that are confident n opinionated. You believe they should be in their place - married and under a man, quiet and subjugated otherwise they are unmarried and bitter. Your head really is so up your rectum that right now you're drowning in ur own excreta, talking rubbish and crowning it with silly comments about my marital status wch you have no idea about. So next time, do your self a favor when your eeediotic male ego surfaces - GO AND DIE
Bitter! Bitter! Bitter ol_bitttch

Ezegozie: bro, there are many things to consider.

We all know that the population of Nigeria is by far more than the population of Ghana.

So because of the high difference in population, you don't expect Nigeria and Ghana to have the same number of universities

The higher the number of people
The higher the number of schools
the higher the number of everything even thieves.
I agree with you.
Also...
The lower the number of people
The lower the number of good schools
The lower the number of intelligent people
The lower the number of beautiful people
The lower the number of honest men/women

The lower the number of people representing a country in a forum like nairaland
The lower the number of good brains=(the higher the number of olodos) speaking for that country.

I totally agree with you bro! A lot of the folks speaking in favour of Ghnana here are olodos.

Elxandre: To be fair, Nigeria is far bigger than Ghana, and has way higher number of Unis. So its expected to have more representatives on the list anyways.
Nice Nevertheless
That won't be fair.
If I'm not wrong, the OP wrote that there are 9 public Uni's in GH. Well Nigeria have over 30 Federal unis not counting the states uni.
You would expect that fewer resources will be at their coffers.
Imagine Nigeria with only 9 uni's. Though it won't admit everybody, its standard will rise lifting one of them to top 2 in Africa if not the best.
EducationRe: Nigerian Students Study In One-block, Portakabin Ghanaian Varsities by sakaguchi(m): 4:48pm On Dec 22, 2013
Elxandre: ^^
I must admit I havent seen the list recently.
and I'm not Ghanaian!
Thank you sir, next time, speak on what you know. Your earlier sentence sounded as if you were positing a fact meanwhile you're not.

Only one school in GH is in top 50.
That lone school is even bested by nigerian uni.
Ghana is saturated with mushroom unis with over bloated fees.
It has become news and NUC will soon do the needful.
ASUU(though I doubt) and 9ja students are crying to better these Nigerian universities that are better than GH unis, GH however is ok with their below par status quo.
Nigerian students who can't pass JAMB unfortunately run to this shanty schools in GH

This my friend are #FACTS and you can take it to the bank.

Elxandre: Let me correct you, No university from west Africa in the Top 10. Its dominated by South African and Egyptian universities!

The top 50? That list surely has KNUST, univ of Capecoast e.t.c in it!
Lets be fair, there are poor private schools everywhere.
Ghana must stop licensing poor schools anyway!
Honhonhon (let me laugh in Ashanti)
My brother, you wish what you wrote above is true, but then its not. A West African university is in 10 ten, and guess what? its Nigerian. Also, only one gh uni is in top 50, a testament that alomo_land is saturated with mushroom universities

AIT is cheap... Much like a community college
Please sir, nobody is talking about cheap or not cheap here. What we are saying is that these schools are crap (AIT and all others listed are crap).
By the way, AIT is not cheap, I pay N28,000 as school fees here in 9ja; now that's cheap!

NUC should do the needful- blacklist all these GH schools and when these JAMB failures come back home, they'll try another JAMB or go to polytechnic.

Donmichaelz: tnx einstein u should also try and google it yourself who discovered india...thats y it is not who invented but discovered,it might nt sound well in ur ears doesnt mean its wrong
We aint fighting bro.

I answered the question I guess, what I said however is, nobody discovered India, atleast we don't know the prehistoric man/people who did so. There are more people living in India than the whole of Europe during the time of Vasco Da Gama visit and hence he couldn't have discovered it. It wasn't as if India was an uninhabitted wilderness.

Since you suggested google, this are some of the answers I got from google.

"People have been living in India since like 5000
b.c. or probably even way before that. There is
not a single person that discovered it. When it
was discovered it wasn't even called India, so a
better question would be.. When was India
called "India".

"No one discovered India.. the civilization is one of
the oldest history has ever seen.
Vasco da Gama discovered a sea route to India in
order to boost trade in 1492."

This is an educational thread and the purpose should be as such.
There was a first European who discovered India.
Same thing, there is a first Nigerian who discovered India and a first Chinese who visited it.

#peace.
EducationRe: Who Wants To Be A Millionaire (nairaland Edition) by sakaguchi(m): 10:50am On Dec 19, 2013
One observation, there is no such thing as "who discovered India".
People have been in India na, besides, Chinese and pakistanis are also people and know of their neighbours the Indians.

It should be, "which European was the first to discover the ROUTE to India?"
