spenca:Olodo! Blame your mumulity on GEJ. You don't know the meaning of "felled" at your age? You shouldn't be allowed to vote. You need to learn nursery rhymes and simple English. |
tragger25:You need not worry! As was stated earlier, print your JAMB admission notification and bring it to the college of health science in permanent site on resumption day. I'm sure you'll pick your admission form there. Congratulations dude. You need to study hard oo! Very hard!! |
creamycrystal:I've sent you a request on facebook. |
willaiye:Don't worry, after reg, you'll get your accommodation ( that is if you finish your screening quick oo!). As regards to where you'll stay during reg, don't worry, you will find a way. Finding a way, running around with files and queuing anyhow is what will make you a JAMBITO! Abi you no want us to call you jambito? ![]() |
creamycrystal:Reach me on 08073027989. |
creamycrystal:You can give me a call or whatsapp me. |
creamycrystal:You need not worry, you'll do your medical test in school clinic on resumption. |
Good job! I wish FG will give them amnesty, because as it is in Nigeria, amnesty is better than scholarship. I'm proud of this feat. |

Chelcy10:Ok, nice to know. You'll be of immense help to freshers in Biossa who have question then. |
Chelcy10:Yea! Thanks, GST 102 it is. There is no PHY 109, that's a practical in electricity and medics don't do it. BIO 105 is Genetics, Biology students do it as BIO 205 when they are in 200L. The class is actually one of the best in 100Level because only medics and vet students offer it unlike the crowd one faces in the other courses. All of these courses are tough in their own way oo! Don't be mistaken, they have their perculiarity. PHY 101 is not so though but the lecturer Dr Abdul will make you think it is the toughest in the world. Every 100L student is scared of PHY 101 AKA Abdul 101 (I don't know if the man is still the one in charge of the course sha) PHY 102 is not as dramatic as 101 but it fails people more. PHY 108 is very unpredictable, that's why I hate it, you don't know if you are having an A or a an E after the exam (which is only 30%) All the GST's na beans BIO 105 is not though but the lecturer is a sadist ( you'll quote Mendel's 2nd Law word for word and he'll still fail you, that's how wicked he is) However, the toughest in all the 18 courses in my honest Opinion is STA 101 and CHM 151 Are you a fresher? If so, what course were you admitted into? |
Chelcy10:There are some slight difference. MBBS 100level 1st semester: 1. GST 101A 2. GST 103 3. PHY 101 4. PHY 108 5. CHM 121 6. STA 101 7. BIO 101 8. BIO 104 9. PHY 102 MBBS 100level 2nd semester 1. GST 101B 2. GST 104 (I'm not so sure of the course code, but it is logic and Philosophy) 3. GST 122 4. PHY 103 5. PHY 104 6. CHM 151 7. CHM 171 8. BIO 103 9. BIO 105 |
willaiye:That's nice to hear, in as much I wouldn't want to be the one to discourage, I'll advise you to strive and study hard, Uniabuja could easily be the hardest University in Nigeria with the way they set their exams and how they spoil people's mood with poor results. However, if you go in with full resolve and determination, I'm sure you will excel. Basically, there are only 3 ways to enter into medicine: 1. Through Jamb 2. Through Direct entry 3. Rarely, through Remedials. 90 percent is basically through JAMB, you cannot do change of course into medicine during registration, instead, people are withdrawn. The high GP stuff does not necessarily work. Medical students with high CGPA are still withdrawn if they have a D or "E" in any course. (100L medicine comprises of 18 science courses, all candidates are expected to have A's, B's or C's in all 18 courses. Even 17 A's and one D is deem a failure). A friend of mine had a CGPA of 4.6+ but was withdrawn because he had D in physics 108 ( a one credit load course for that matter). I understand other Universities do transfer if a candidate pass 100L with excellent grades, but such transfer are mostly intra college transfer (i.e from a dept in the college of Health Science into medicine E.g Physiology, Biochemistry or Anatomy). Uniabuja does not have admission into this courses yet and as such, don't do such transfer. Direct entry admission are for graduates of Microbiology, Physio, Biochem, Anatomy and other medical related courses who have a minimum of a second class upper at graduation. Please do not relent in your studies and ofcourse, this is Uniabuja, nothing is impossible. So back your plans up with committed studying and I wish you all the best. |
Bashimi:Accreditation of medicine was withdrawn in 2011. The last set of medical students came into the school 2010. Last year 2013, the accreditation was restored, ever since, there has been no admission, this set is the first admission in Uniabuja. The funny thing is that, Adelabu used all of his tenure to get accreditation for medicine, agric and vet, in those years, other faculties have lost their own accreditation, as it is now, the 3 faculties and maybe a handful of others are the only ones with full NUC accreditation. It may interest you to know that admission into medicine, vet and agric were suspended at the same time, as you can see from opticrypt401, he was given admission into agric. Admission into the 3 faculties/college have resumed. |
opticrypt401:You need not worry, Agric science is very good and also as tough as Medicine, apart from physics 109 for other science students and Bio 105 which only medical/veterinary students offer in the second semester, all other 100 level courses are the same with that of College of Health Sciences. I'll advice you to resolve within yourself and read hard when the semester starts. One thing is certain, nobody can change course from any faculty into the College of Health Science, the other way round is usually the case: people are withdrawn from the College of Medicine into other faculties. Just read hard and I'm sure you will fall in love with Agricultural science. |
willaiye:That's not true, there is no more accreditation issue in either medicine, vet medicine and agric, all of them have been fully accredited, as a matter of fact, all 3 are among the few courses in Uniabuja with FULL NUC accreditation. I have spoken with 2 candidates who were given admission into medicine. http://thecitizenng.com/other-news/university-of-abuja-bags-nuc-accreditation-for-medical-college-engineering/ |
opticrypt401:None that I know of personally, but I got call from two peeps yesterday asking questions about school fees, accommodation and what is expected of them in 100level medicine. I encourage you all to tell the house on this thread of your admission success and the course yall are given, that way, you'll meet most people from other faculties/college before resumption. I hope I was able to help? |
willaiye:Congratulations bro, I'm so happy for all of you. Are you the guy who applied for Medicine? Lol @ #collegeboy. |
