It's not uncommon to hear a parent boast that "My 7-year-old son is in JSS2". It is not a cool thing to do! Let your child organically progress. Your child might be book smart at a very young age, Yes! But let them develop physically, psychologically and emotionally too.

Europeans and Asians don't take such nonsense as a norm, but only Africans who have never put a thought as to why the educational system is structured that way, thinking they know better. The son of my former Lebanese neighbor is 15 or 16 and I think he's just writing his Junior WAEC. Dude has been acing all his subjects effortlessly with minimal competition.
