Politics › Re: EndBadGovernance Protest: Full Speech By IGP Egbetokun by Salimmuhammad(m): 7:50am On Aug 02, 2024 |
emkz: My take on the protests.
The protesters must be allowed to express their grievances.
The police must allow them run amok.
These children must experience what we experienced in the post June 12 annullment when people were maimed, women were not spared and people were killed.
Due to the liberal nature of the president, people are riding on his goodwill. They are asking for the return of fuel subsidy, release of EndSARS protesters (some of whom looted people's businesses and burnt public infrastructure), abandonment of the constitution, electoral reforms, and some called for regime change.
Deji Adeyanju blamed the president for increasing allocation to state governors post-subsidy removal who have gone on to mismanage the allocations. They are afraid to protest against the governors who eroded public service and local government administration.
Throughout yesterday, apart from the police station that was razed in Nyanya, most of the properties that were destroyed belonged to private individuals.
More than 22 persons were reported to have died , including the suicide bomb in Borno State. While Ebun Adegboruwa, Deji Adeyanju, Inibehe Effiong and Yele Sowore were singing days of rage, they forgot they won't be able to control the mob. Deji Adeyanju tried to blame the police for instigating violence.
Very dark nuisance was one of the promoters of the protest; suddenly, he wants an end to it because they didn't expect the outcome. Arise News anchors on the morning show called for protest, their bus was destroyed by the mob in Kano. Atiku supported it, but has not issued a statement to commiserate with the families of those killed yesterday.
To the protesters and rioters:
(1) Who will cater for the families of those killed yesterday? (2) Who will bear the cost of people's properties destroyed yesterday? (3) Which fund will be used to rebuild the infrastructure destroyed? (4) How will the mob leaders rein in on the mob they unleashed?
To Tinubu:
(1) You have been advised to address the nation and douse the tension. Don't do it! Only sensible people are ready to listen to you. Right now, the protest leaders and the rioters are not reasoning. Let them continue and whenever you step it, it is to restore order in a decisive way. You don't need to say a word. Just do it. Learn from Buhari. (2) You cannot return fuel subsidy or return fuel price to 100 naira. The nation cannot afford it. Let each state government handle internal transportation at affordable rates. The easiest thing to do is to buy airconditioned buses and let them subsidize transportation. It is not FG who should take care of transportation within states. (3) Let cargo planes start leaving states like Plateau and Taraba carrying food from there and taking them to major cities. That would be a temporary solution until rail infrastructure is improved nationwide. (4) State governors must now agree to work with FG to tackle insecurity and strife within their states. The accusation of local politicians, religious leaders, military men and elites fuelling insecurity for business gains need to be nipped in the bud. One of the notorious terrorists accused a minister of funding them when he was governor. (5) Do not declare a nationwide state of emergency or curfew for any reason. Let each state governor declare such in their states if needed. (6) There are a lot of lies being peddled about your administration. There are lies that you bought a yatch. Where is the yatch? Some even claim that you bought a private presidential jet. How can a presidential jet be private? You may need to overhaul your information management team. You have the most media advisers in history and most of them are incompetent. Now is the time to look for a seasoned PR guru and let him bring his own team to manage information and public communications from the presidency. You have done a lot and that has not reached the ears of those who should know. As the saying goes, until the lion learns to tell his story, the tales of the hunt will always glorify the hunter. (7) Finally, stop being nice and too tolerant. You are managing a complex nation and a complex people. How do you explain children looting public property in Kano yesterday? Being nice will lead to you being messed up. Ask Jonathan. Remember a fool will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. You must rise to the occasion. Remember General Sani Abacha was an effective leader, despite his many faults. He accomplished all he did for the nation by not being nice to anyone. Any stumbling block to national development needs to be weeded out. You my dear are one of the very few sane persons I’ve seen so far. I just hope people can see this. 👍👍👍👍👍 |

Agriculture › Re: How Much Can I Sell Female Broiler Of Over 5 Months by Salimmuhammad(m): 6:58am On May 03, 2021 |
Attit: Oh this. What is the life expectancy of Nigerians living in Nigeria? I can give you proof if you want, but for the past 15 years it has been around 55 years. And truly look at it, how many percentage of old people do we have? How many are in 80+ range? Nigerians die when they are in their 30s - 50s mostly. Ask yourself why? The main cause is what they put in: what they drink, what they eat what they breathe in, and medications they take. It's not only in broiler, but everything we eat is poison. Nigerian beans has been from entering EU since 2013, after initial ban before 2010. And nothing is done to even improve on it. The same beans we all consume here. Lol. Example here is how famers use chemicals recklessly. The residue index in our farm produce is too high. Cancer is on the high level in Nigeria.
Let talk about broiler. Day old is around N250 - N400 each. The cost of feeding a bird to maturity to gain around 3kg is presently around N1,400 - N1600. Medication is around N100 - N300. Logistics- N50. Roughly - N1,800 to produce 1. Cost of labor and miscellaneous expenses arent added. I believe most people produce at higher rate than this. Since we are talking about the north, I think this is a good price to use there. So, if we add the 2 expenses to it N2,000 is ok for cost of production + other expenses. So, how are you are able to buy broiler of this range at N1,500 from the north? Think! What did they do to produce broilers cheaply there?
Even from other places, I can never eat chicken which are produced by inorganic farmers. Never and Never. Even on this forum, they use medications badly. And they dont follow withdrawal technique. It is why I buy local fowls. Like I always write, I pity ppl who eat eggs from layers.
This is how far I can say it. well i agree with you on some of your points but let me tell u something there is no place here that u will get table size chicken at N1500 I have stayed in kaduna for 6yrs now I am also in to poultry farming (layers and broilers) here the price for 4weeks is at N1000-1200... Above that is 2-4k sef. During Christmas and wallah celebrations I sell at even 4k since I mix with noilers. The reason why its a but cheaper here is cost of feeding, post people mix feed with shaft of maize and soya beans there buy reducing the cost a bit but aside that my bro na same everywhere. Its not magic u no fit get full grown broiler chicken for KADUNA oo for N1500 and if u know any place dat sell like dat Abeg tell me I go carry police go there |

i should count myself among the lucky ones, cause since i have been rearing chicken {albeit i buy from 2weeks} i have never had this case of disease outbreak. the only drug i give them is penicillin and strepto, and sometimes bitterleaf and scent leaf mixture aside that nothing else up until i sell them. I feel the best way is to always keep coup clean and careful observation of birds....and most importantly ask question |

Agriculture › Re: Is Ugu Farming This Useless? by Salimmuhammad(m): 6:17am On Sep 08, 2018 |
I think you have done fairly well. I congratulate you. Why? At least, you got production right. Now, try to do what you should have done earlier which is to know when to plant Ugu in your area.
When should you plant ugu? It is when other farmers are not planting ugu. And then, ask yourself, why don't they plant ugwu at that time?
To make most veggie profitable, you must solve at least a problem. Find a solution to why they don't plant at certain period of the year.
For example: Tomato does not like too much water. Too many diseases to fight at this time. During heavy rainy season, it must be expensive. So, what can you do to bring out your tomato around this time. Some farmers harvest very close to heavy rainy season to make some reasonable profit, though may not be the best sales. Some take a bigger risk that there will not be heavy rain at that time and knowing fully well that most farmers will run away from cultivating it at the time. If there is heavy rain, they lose big. And if there isnt heavy rain, they win very big. Back to ugwu, it seems you might need to cultivate it when there is no more rain and when the sun is terribly hot. Solution might be to get irrigation on your farm.
Next, try to know the nearest main market you can easily sell your product. Never allow buyers come to your farm as they will cheat you. Here is the trick. You must know how big your farm should be to compensate for logistics (transportation to market, police tips, area boys tips, car park fee, etc). Else, you will run at loss. If it is one acre that can easily give you a decent breakeven with some nice profit and you cultivate just one plot, you are in soup.
Fertilization: Ugu is a not a fruit plant; hence, you need more urea if you are an inorganic farmer plus little NPK and micro nutrients. So, side dress each plant with 3/4 bottled water cap of urea plus 1/4 bottled water cap of NPK every month, immediately after harvest.
If you are an organic farmer, use fish water waste (from fish pond), fermented fish waste, green fertilizers etc that are all with substantial nitrogen plus side dress with dried manure or compost frequently.
Note: The above recommendation is for small scale farmers. If you want to practice agric, do it well. Get your plan intact and know your breakeven limit. Do not consult any of those internet guys. Consult farmers and traders in the market. Then, talk to drivers who will take your products to market. Understand how the market in your area works and add some additional cash for miscelaneous expense.
Anyday, anytime, i favor drip irrigation as my first tool on the farm. No drip, no farming. It is the honest truth you must not run away from. You will just be like other farmers who keep complaining every second about being poor if you do not take irrigation serious. And leave ugu alone during rainy season. Let farmers who cannot buy irrigation kits struggle among themselves during this period. May you not work in vain again. Blessings! bro it seems u have knowledge abt tomatoe farming, i intend to go into it soon but i want to target havesting when its scarce....pls can we talk 08097021409 |

Wisedove: There is nothing to write home about; All I can see is the northerners doing all they to let the northern agenda prevail like it's always been in Nigeria. Considering the last election in Nigeria we can see that this so called PDP was destabilized by two Northern politicians(Alimadu sheriff & Markafi) in order to let Buhari rise to power. The party is not important to the northerners all they care about is the Tribe. Both APC & PDP is been hijacked by them already quote me everywhere, I will rather prefer to vote another party with candidates from either youruba or Ibo as the case may be. #ourmumudondo# .
