cool cool cool cool cool cool
It's affordable but not better. Certification for one ensures that the Radio waves emitted by phones don't reach harmful levels and are safe for human use. It's not wise to use something that kills you a little everyday just because it is affordable.

Xiaomi just launched their outlet in Paris this week as a plan to expand through Europe. But let's stick to the topic here.. which is the US market. We all know Xioami is much better brand than Tecno, in fact redmi 5 is the 5th best selling phone in Q1 2018 only beaten by the iphone. But for such a company to not penetrate the US market then who is Tecno? Xioami will probably penetrate the US market in late 2018 or early 2019,but right now they haven't.

And talk about creating legitimate brand identity,Xioami started by copying Apple, though they have since grown and formed their own identity.
All valid points. I mentioned Mi A1 because it was sold in the US via Google platform

Hmm, You can't live without me u had to mention my name. Anyway let me make this brief.

Yes Tecno, Infinix and Itel don't market their phones in the US, I don't even think they intend to, at least not in the nearest future. The US smartphone market is saturated and the US are critical of Chinese phones. Tecno is just a small company. Before u attack Tecno, first answer this question. Why do Xioami, Oppo, Huawei, ZTE don't sell their phones in the US. These are bigger names than Tecno. Aha.. so there is ur answer. So if those big guns can't enter the US, who come be small Tecno?

And to answer ur questions about alternative phones to buy.. first I need to make it clear. I don't use any Transsion phone. Though my wife uses Infinix hot 4 Pro which has been serving her since 2016. I also bought an infinix hot s same time she bought hers which was my second phone while Galaxy s6 was my main phone. I've long sold mine. It was a decent phone, though I had to change the charging port once, and my wife has also changed her charging port, but phone is still serving her. Now that we have gotten that out of the way, as a lot of people already know, my daily driver right now is LG V20 which has been phenomenal and I don't have any reason to change it right now. But there are lots of things people look for in a phone. Because I'm a heavy user doesn't mean everyone has to be a heavy user. Because I can buy a used flagship doesn't mean everyone has to buy a used phone, some people want their phones brand new.

Let's see some of the phones u mentioned
LG G5: u said its 50k, show me the shop where it is sold for 50k brand new
LG G6: Again show me where it is sold, LG didn't even sell this phone in Nigeria. The used one is sold for around 100k and above

Samsung galaxy s6: I can't even recommend this for my enemy. Very poor battery life, still over 50k for used one
Samsung galaxy s7/edge: Brand new one is still over 170k, used one between 80-120k
HTC 10: This one no even dey market, show me where it is sold
HTC U11: bro are u just mentioning phones for the sake of it? HTC didn't sell this phone in Nigeria, the used one is still over 100k
Sony Xperia XZ and XZ premium: I give up. Do u have any of these for sale at 60k? I will buy 3

I know u can order for these phones from overseas but how many people do u think have the time to order phones. So someone cannot enter a shop and buy a phone to start using immediately again abi? Me I don't have a problem ordering phone any product, but everyone cannot be like me, majority still prefer to enter shop buy what they want. And not everyone will like used phones.
Chinese brands are already penetrating Europe and USA, xiaomi marketing strategy has been to create a legitimate brand identity before penetrating tougher markets. Last's year xiaomi released Mi A1, an Android One phone to sell globally, and last last week they are already opening stores in European stories because they are certified to do so.

You are off point!
He is advice Nigerians to be producers not CONSUMERS. Whether Yahoo boy or not! The white man is rich because a lot of them are focused on producing not consuming. As a producer, they create wealth for themselves and the society. The typical Yahoo boy steals and begins extravagant consumption, which will over time create more wealth for the White producers. Still, this explanation would never make sense to someone who's sold to consumption.
PhonesRe: Five Features You Must Disable On New Smartphones by Sam32(m): 9:23am On May 15, 2018
divinehand2003:
YOU may need to disable the following five features from a new smartphone you have just bought, according to Androidpit.com.

1. Automatic brightness and other features that affect battery life
Manufacturers offer an automatic brightness system. The smartphone detects the ambient light level and adapts its display so that it remains comfortable to read. This is a laudable idea, but the resolution is disappointing most of the time since the luminosity threshold is usually higher than you need.
Brightness means energy, and the consumption will increase, which means your battery will ultimately be paying for it. In short, turn off the automatic brightness and calibrate it yourself. You will get more battery life out of it.
The screen is the element that most affects your smartphone’s autonomy, so you have nothing to lose by taking a look at your screen options to see if something needs to be changed. This of course depends on your use and habits, but in most cases, it is useless to keep the screen on for more than a minute.
•The secret is to improve battery life on any phone.

2. Useless and cumbersome bloatware
Your smartphone most likely contains at least one app that does not interest you. Whether it is a service from Google (for example, Duo), an app pre-installed by your operator, an app from the manufacturer, or a sponsored app. The number of these apps varies according to the manufacturer, but what is certain is that these apps not only take up space, but may also run in the background. In many cases, these apps can be deleted (and you are better off deleting them).
As a rule, Google apps cannot be deleted (at least not without hacking). Some apps pre-installed by manufacturers cannot be uninstalled either. So, what you have to do is simply disable them: not only will they take up less space in the system, but they also will no longer bother you. To do this, go to the Settings, find the list of apps and search to find the one you are looking for.

3. Animations and transitions
If your smartphone is not very powerful, you should do everything you can to make it run a bit more smoothly. There is one little trick that can help you on a daily basis: disabling transitions and animations. To be more specific, these are the effects you see when you switch from one screen or app to another: they can be pretty, but they are unnecessary. If you disable them, transitions will be faster.
All you have to do is simply enable developer options. Once you have done this, you will find the developer options menu and ‘Window animation scale’, ‘Transition animation scale’, and ‘Animation duration scale’. Once you have done this, you will have to reduce it (for example, to 0.5) or deactivate it.

4. Vibrations and sounds
These vibrations and sounds are intended to mimic the response of a physical button, but in practice, they are usually quite irritating. Even worse, they will impact your device’s autonomy. In short, you should ask yourself if this feature really is of value to you. If this is not the case, you should deactivate these features.
To disable these sounds and vibrations:
•Go to Settings > Sound & notifications
•Once you are in this menu, you can disable everything: Dial pad sounds, Screen locking sounds, Charging sounds, Touch sounds, Vibrate on touch, etc.
Please note: if the smartphone is being used by an older person who does not have a great sense of touch, it is recommended that you leave the vibration on so that they can better feel the screen.

5. Personalisation for advertisements
Of course, Google uses your private data to get to know you better, which allows it to target you with ads. By accepting Google on your phone, you accept the rules of the game: it will get information about you through its various services and apps. You cannot do much about this (unless you boycott Google), but you can decide whether apps can use your ad ID or not. If you decide to disable this option, Google won’t be able to offer you targeted ads (but they will continue to send you ads anyway).
To do this, simply go to Settings and search in the Google menu. You will then find ‘Ads’, and there, you will be able to set which apps may use your ad ID to create profiles and run custom ads. Of course, if you want to see targeted ads, it is better to leave this option enabled, but you will not prevent Google from getting information about you.

Reasons for disabling the five features

Optimisation and fluidity: We all want an ultra-fast smartphone that loads applications quickly and offers maximum battery life. Some of you will have an advantage over others (if you have a powerful smartphone), while others will have more difficulties. In both cases, it is recommended that you avoid as many problems as possible.

User experience: The experience you have with your smartphone depends on many elements, some of which can be quite subjective. Some things can be really painful on a daily basis.

Privacy and confidentiality: If these words are important to you, you know that they have been in the headlines in recent weeks. The Cambridge Analytica case has catapulted Facebook to the forefront (due to criticism of its business model and the exposure of some of its practices), and other big names in technology have quickly followed up by providing more precise user conditions.

I will disagree with number 1.

straining your eyes to see what's on your screen in broad daylight isn't worth the few milliamps your save.

Save your eyes for old age!

Christianity EtcRe: Why Daddy Freeze Blocks People On Instagram. Examining Reasons by Sam32(m): 11:11pm On Mar 13, 2018
alBHAGDADI:
Flipping through some blogs today, I came across a news that says Daddy Freeze has given conditions for unblocking people he has blocked on his social media handles. This reminded me of when he blocked me for pointing out an error of his.

Now, Freeze has given reasons why he blocked certain people and why he's likely going to block some more. He gave rules which must not be broken by his online followers else they get blocked. Let's examine them in line with how a true Christian ought to live.

Normally, we all feel offended when cyber-bullied. It makes one more angry when you have no idea who the person is or what he looks like. But not all offensive comments are really offensive. Do you know that speaking the TRUTH can be offensive and rude to someone who loves LIES? Why was Jesus Christ killed by the Pharisees and Jews? He was killed because he constantly told them the bitter truth which they found offensive. No matter how offensive His words were, they were still the TRUTH.

Since Freeze has been criticizing Pastor and even attacking Churches verbally, no one has killed him or done anything harmful to him. Even when they are powerful enough to do such, they all ignore him and let him be. If Freeze truly represents Christ, why is he preventing himself from being criticized no matter how awful the comments might be? Jesus was mocked on the cross by people who laughed that he saved others but couldn't save himself. The thief by his side also did mock him. What did Jesus do? Did he block them on the Instagram of those days? No! Look at how he reacted below.

Luke 23:34
Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing."

Freeze prefers to kick such people out so that his deceived followers won't have a feel of a different view and argument. He doesn't want them to see when his folly is exposed.

Clearly, the rules he applies do not apply to himself. Where was the decorum when he was calling Bishop David Oyedepo a screeching bald-headed fowl?

Mathew 7:12
"Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.

No matter how much he believes tithing is wrong, he has no right to prevent people from holding other views. Like I said earlier, he doesn't want his deceived followers to hear another side of the argument. Everything just has to be according to how he wants it. This is dictatorship.

I believe we all know how Freeze emphasizes on giving to the poor, instead of giving to Churches. He even started an online contest called Tithe Against Poverty (TAP), which is about giving your tithe to someone in need instead of giving to Churches. It is now surprising to see him saying he's going to block those that beg for money on his page which he now calls his ONLINE CHURCH. Yes, it might be offensive seeing too many comments requesting for financial help, that doesn't mean he should go ahead to block them. If he can't help them, his followers who have stopped paying tithe will. But if they don't see such comments, how will they offer help? If they don't offer help, then it means he only succeeded in stopping them from paying tithe, but never taught them about giving to the needy.

Mathew 26:11
The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me.

This is the height of it. As the leader of the Free Nation In Christ Online Church, Freeze doesn't want his adulterous/fornicating lifestyle questioned by his members, yet he has been questioning the lifestyle of prominent pastors. He lives with a woman who is still legally married to another husband, calls her his fiancee and probably sleeps with her, yet he doesn't want his followers to feel skeptical about that. What kind of leader is that? His flaunting of Tastebudz his faincee is a sign that he's not really called by God and can never have anything good to speak in support of God. The saddest part is that the yardstick he uses to judge others is quite different from the one he uses on himself. Below is a screenshot of him pointing out how he criticizes pastors cos the Bible allows it, yet he doesn't want his sinful lifestyle questioned by anybody.
You are right about freeze not wanting criticism especially after his recent actions, that's a valid point. But you are biased in explaining every other thing on that list. Some of your arguments don't hold much water.
Firstly, there's nothing wrong with willful donation, at all.
Secondly, stopping people from posting help request on his forum is completely understandable. If he allowed it, the forum will be abused in no time. If you're desperate to help the needy they are all around you.
Also keeping a forum free from unruly comments and abuse is no crime.

No leader is perfect, we can learn things we like about his beliefs without becoming another kind of sheeple

lol. Yet another illogical conclusion from my post. I was hoping you'd be 'experienced' (yes, I did see the subtle jab) enough to see 'on purpose' there. That alone screams an exception (that a wrong number might have been a mistake somehow). So how is it you are arguing against ALWAYS?

If a girl gives you a wrong number on purpose, she wants you off her back. You certainly do not appeal to her enough. It's not rocket science.

Tell me, what else besides one's total packaging and actions would make the girl give him a wrong number?
Its not always the 'game' she might not be interested in meeting someone new and just to avoid conflict give you a wrong number. Btw there's a limit to how good your 'game' can get, where yours end that's where someones own just starting..

It was never about collecting EVERY girl's number. I wonder how you came up with that. It's about making so bad an impression on your target that she gives you a wrong number just to get you off her back.

Call it absurd or whatever term you can conjure... A girl who finds you interesting enough would never give you a wrong number on purpose.
If you're experienced in any way, you'll understand that it’s not always because of your "game" or something you did that makes a girl give you a wrong number

EducationRe: Students, Start Now To Prepare For Life After School by Sam32(m): 12:30am On Jan 14, 2016
Dapromzy333:
Let's make something clear, “students think". In fact, students think a lot about money, drinks, parties, opposite sex and so on but most importantly students think about their lives after school, which is good.

The bad thing however is that what they think about life after school are majorly unrealistic thoughts like, "hey, I am finally in 100 level studying economics in Kogi State University, and I'll graduate in 4 years’ time, then go for service and probably do some masters and PhD thingy then get a job and make money".

That's so unrealistic that its makes WWE wrestling more real. Its plain garbage thought you need to start getting out of your head. This life isn't Hollywood, and when you're born into one hell of a country like Nigeria you need to wise up and start thinking with your "brain".

If you can take your time and look outside your window to see millions of graduates roaming about the streets you'll probably understand that it’s not as easy as you think it is, if it was that easy your parents and your friends parents and all parents in Nigeria will be multi billionaires and you may not even need to go to school.

Life isn't easy, and Nigeria is making life even harder for Nigerians. The labour market is so choked up, it will take extra power for an angel to pass through. There is hardship in every corner of the country and the earlier you realize these things, the better for you.

So instead partying and smiling all around school why don't you sit yourself down and not only think logically but also plan logically. These topics might get you onto the right path:

- First and foremost you need to realize you only have one life to live, every circumstance you find yourself will most definitely come once, you don't go to primary school twice, well, except you're going there the second time to teach or something. My point is, in every situation you find yourself you have to try hard in making the best outta that situation, if you don't succeed, it’s okay, at least you tried.

- Ask yourself questions, like why are there few rich people in the country, what can I do to get there, what are my potentials, what are my weaknesses. You have tons of questions you should start asking yourself.

- You need to start tasking yourself. Are you too young to make money?? I mean, there are lots of unemployed graduates out there who still depend on their parents. I know you don't want to belong in that category when you're done with school. You need to know what you have to do to make that money so you do not have to depend on anybody.

God has given you a talent, why don't you discover it and start using it to make money now. There are tons of things you can do as an undergraduate that can cough out money for you, you just need to think and plan on how to strike a balance between your academics and what you're doing.

It's not how petty the job is or how little you're earning. It’s about knowing for a fact that you can do something to improve your situation.

A lot of OND, HND, BSc, PhD holders are out there (those certs are common these days), some even have all those certs with them at the moment but have nothing to show for it because they failed to realize that school is not about learning on how to work for a boss, it’s also about how to develop yourself to being your own boss.

- You need to stop thinking about your future and know that the future you are thinking of is "NOW". You have to start thinking and planning logically from now on.

- You need to start encouraging yourself to do things that'll make you big. Forget where you are now, it doesn't matter, its where you're going to be when it’s all said and done that matters.

Forget the fact that you stay in Dagana or you stay in one shady place around KSU, and your fellow mates stay in billionaires lodge or exquisite lodge (it’s probably not their money anyways), it doesn't matter. What matters is that you are formulating a plan that will change your situation when four years is done and dusted.

- All in all you have to think of doing only what's necessary to get that money, not something people like or what they don't like, not what brings shame to you or doesn't bring shame to you, you don't have to care what people think about you, 'cause at the end of it all it's you and only you that matters.

Nobody remembers the disgusting or not disgusting things Dangote has done in the past, because it was necessary to get him to where he is now, “the richest man in Africa".
