You don’t “lock up” an internationally invited election observer. That’s not how diplomacy works. Jonathan was there on official assignment, the same way ECOWAS, AU, EU and UN observers also enter countries before elections.

So instead of dragging him, drag the military that disrupted the democratic process and put the entire region on edge. Jonathan’s presence is actually a positive for West Africa’s stability — and that’s something people who understand geopolitics already know.

I remember how despite how God was using me to win souls here, including atheists, some so-called Christians weren't happy and had predicted that I would later turn atheist and against Christ myself, and consequently mislead many Christians as some former NL Christians, especially one who was once a leading and influential preacher here turned atheist, had done.

I have been dating this my girl friend since 2017. She made me fall and believe in love, she ticked all the qualities I desire in a woman. When I we started dating she was in her 200L, and everything was going on smoothly. Now this is where the issue lies,
When she went for service in another state, I started noticing some changes, wen she comes back home during holidays I used to go through her phone.(note: she has access to my phone and I too).
So one of those period I realised she is seeing another guy in the state where she is serving. I confronted her and she opened up to me and confessed. I forgave her.

Then after like 4months again, I later noticed she is also seeing another guy different from the initial one I noticed, she denied that but I had to do my deep investigation and got an evidence, she opened up again, at this point I broke up with her and moved on. After like one month she came back begging for forgiveness, It took me time to heal and I forgave her.

Then this last one that broke the camel's back, I noticed she traveled to the state where she did her youth service for something and all this while I thought she was staying with her sister, not knowing she was staying with the first guy she dated while serving whch she apologised. She stayed with her for three good weeks. How I realized was, I called her line one early morning arnd 3am and a guy picked the call asking me who I am. At first, I froze cos I haven't been in that kind of situation, I calmed down and explained everything to the guy, and the guy also told me she has been with her for the past three weeks and that's the girl friend too. I was shocked. I have broken up with her finally cos I don't think forgiving a cheating partner is worth it.
The first time she cheated, 90% of my friends advised me to dump her ass and move on but I had to forgive on the basis of nobody is perfect, but this third time is a no no.
Now she has been begging and asking for forgiveness that she has really learnt her lessons. At this point I'm just so mad that I don't want to forgive her.
Now the big problem is that I'm always seeing her in my dream, I have not really moved on cos it's not easy for me. I have loved her for solid 6 yrs plus.
Note: all the family members from my side and her side are fully aware of our relationship and have approved but they are not aware that I have broken up. If you are my shoes will you forgive her for this very last time or will her cheating continues?

Most companies think it is OK to pay so little to people who are passionate about their work. Spending over 8 years in the last company I worked with is the biggest mistake of my life. I didn't really care much about the salary when I made my career debut. I was young, 21, and fresh out of school when I got the job and I was just excited about practising what I learnt in school. Although I didn't push for it aggressively because I do not like to appear entitled and I do not like to think my fate depends on something or someone other than me. It is easier for me to be that conservative because I have some side jobs I do that pay little, but it feels like a dagger in one's heart to know one is being cheated on and I know I am going to have to leave someday. It seems to me that the only people that matters in the eye of the management are the subcontractors, consultants, and the expatriates.

As a senior member and team leader, I always tell my colleagues to give their all regardless of the poor pay, but seems that giving your all while suffering is harder that the thought I put to it when I preach to my colleagues to do their best. Subconsciously, my productivity started dwindly. My life feel paused, and slow and somehow I feel empty. I feel like something is wrong with my life but I couldn't figure out what I am doing wrong. I started waking up late, talking back at my boss, engage in unprofessional interactions, and not caring about what is going on in the office anymore. That is unlike me, I am aware of that but somehow I couldn't get myself to change. I know it is a matter of time for me to leave that company and their is so little sand in my glas. Before the excitement died completely, I know I have to leave.

I started sending out my CV and surprisingly, I got another job faster than I thought. And what is actually more surprising is the fact that I got 200% increase in my salary for doing the same thing (a tiny little bit more) when I have been spending 4 years negotiating for 80% and the best they came up with is 30% (which is even the highest in my division that year).

I loved my new job but after spending two years, I thought there is nothing wrong in applying for more challenging jobs. I started sending out my CV again and I had just accepted an offer with the pay about 420% increase from my first salary.

Congratulations mate. You took a calculated risk and it eventually paid off. What field are you in? What city are you in? As this factors will help those make a quick decision.

All the comments above have not actually hit the nail in the right place. The major issue is that African marriages are not laced with romance and affection.
How do I mean?
* Most couple stop showing affection to each other once they start bearing kids and over see finish has crawled into their marriage.
* African couples rarely make out for themselves alone in terms of going on dates ( at least once in a while)
* Marriage is what you put in it ,that’s what you get, you should learn to do things together ie weekends both man and wife can create time to put the huz in order( not by force) but with love cuz it creates bond between couples.
*You can create low budget vacation for just you both without the kids.
*Once in a while try having sex outside the huz, look for an affordable hotel around ur area and maybe do just one night.
* Marriage shouldn’t be about the kids, cuz have noticed what most couple talk about the kids, bills and family issues.Spice it up a little and gist about ur selves, probably the sex you had the previous night😜
* Let there be stewardship ( you guys should always review ur attitude towards each other by asking if each is meeting up expectations etc)*

*Most African couple rarely send romantic messages unlike when they were dating when most times you wake up to see sweet soul piercing messages from ur lover. But in marriage all the messages are for purchases of huz hold items.

I have been dating my girlfriend for some years now. She became an orphan recently, so I decided to open a shop for her so she can start earning something for her not to turn herself into something else since no family support.

So after I'm done eating, I was gisting with her but she is not responding, she was pressing phone, then a call entered and he told the man she is in her shop, that the man should stay at the junction that she is coming to meet him, she stood up and told me to be looking after her shop till she comes back. I was really dumbfounded and shocked, I coundn't utter any word as i don't want to talk or do anything silly as people are plenty around her shop. She left me there, I stood up also and left the shop. I really felt bad and sad. This is a person i have really tried my best for since she lost her parents. I'm planning to send her packing from the shop first, but my bro said i shouldnt try it that it's childish for me. He said I should chill for now. please I need your advice on how to go about this.

NOTE; I rent the shop for my MUM just to use it as her second shop to store her goods. Though the shop is too big, so i told her to let us split it into two, my gf can use the other half.

My brother it's very worrying but not even Nigerian companies. In 2009 I sent an email to Google informing them what to do to improve some products, they implemented everything I told them without even replying my message.

I now have an idea of a company and service that can bury google and WhatsApp but the problem is how to go about it. Sell the idea to someone and they'll run away with it.
