Then how did they come up with the salary calculations? My salary wasn't paid up to what I received last month. So where is the balance of my salary and the minimum wage? Addition of these will get me up to roughly 130k and I was paid 94k. So where did almost 40k disappear to?
What's your institution, level and step?

No single kobo was added to my salary sir.
I am even afraid with the rumour FEOM my colleagues in the office. Most of them are saying, they said there is no going to be minimum wage increment for universities staff.
How true is this rumour please?
Let me clear the air once and for all!! Minimum wage was added to the salaries paid. My school's bursary payroll officer said so in clear terms.

*LATEST ON IPPIS*
I talked with Director, IPPIS, on the crisis that has engulfed the payment of our salaries so far, he apologised for this and also pleaded that we should appeal to our members.
He said, the intention was to pay the salary of February, 2020 to test run the platform. They didn't want to risk the full implementation from the first month because of the enormous amount of documents and information that had been processed by very few personnel within a short period, therefore, decided to pushed out the basic and major parts.
He said over ninety thousands nominal roll and payroll of Staff of all Tertiary Institutions were processed.
This will give them solid background and be prepared to go full blast this month.
He promised that proof sheets of February payment will made available to the Bursars early this week for necessary correction, updating or other inputs omitted especially those who were promoted and could not be not paid. The designated Bursary Staff will be trained to handle and continuing further processing of the payroll.
He,therefore, solicits for support and cooperation of the Bursars in ensuring hitch free exercise.
He assured us that all consequential arrears will be paid.
He said all complaints should be directed to the Bursary Department of each University but we should wait for the payslips, which he believes will be made available by Tuesday this week, further, he said that about twelve thousands staff salaries were returned unpaid, maybe either due wrong account numbers or the names submitted do not tally with that of the banks.

Non academic unions are lily livered. ASUU will have declared strike on the eve of the day after salary was paid.

FG defaulted on the agreements you people had and you're still there writing long speech. The only thing FG hear is strike. Nothing else. Imagine the audacity of agreeing with you and doing otherwise. It means that even FG believe that Non academic unions won't do shit

*On IPPIS, February Salary*

Good Morning Members!

It has come to the notice of the Union (SSANU) that the February, 2020 salary to the University Staff which was released very late was inexplicable and contradictory. The payment which was made through the IPPIS platform had negated the actual agreement the non-teaching staff reached with the Government in August and September, 2019. It could be recalled that the Joint Action Committee (JAC) of non-teaching staff unions were given assurance that all University peculiarities would be captured in the IPPIS platform but to our utmost surprise, what we received yesterday, as salary was embarrassing and frightening.

It is against this background that, I write to sympathize with our members over this unwarranted development and to further inform you that, the Union at branch level, along with many other branches of SSANU across the country had since yesterday forwarded their grievances to the National Body requesting for urgent action and intervention that would force the Government to correct this obnoxious mode of salary payment.

Meanwhile, I on behalf of all executive members, hereby implore our members to please bear with us while we await for the expected further action from the Joint Action Committee of Non- Teaching Staff as the issue is beyond the jurisdiction of Branch. We also use this opportunity to thank our members who have been communicating their good advice on the best ways the Union will handle the issue.

Once again, we reiterate our unbounded commitment towards solving this problem and the progress of SSANU in general.

*Breach of Trust*
The payment of salary through IPPIS has exposed the OAGF inner mind and the working of government. I still don't believe that within three months all our discussions, corrections, adjustments and demonstrations made to perfect the platform provided by government through Infinity Consultant could be thrown to the waste papers basket.
If i say I'm sad it's just an understatement because the template demonstrated captured all peculiarities in the University, so I'm baffled to see another wonder from the government.
We agreed that the salaries will be prepared by the Bursary of each University because the inputs will be collated by the Bursary but the February salary paid didn't emanate from the Universities. Bursary only submitted the nominal roll and payroll in January, 2020 to the IPPIS Office, unfortunately, OAGF could not pay the salary through IPPIS in January 2020, therefore, there was need for these people to request for February, 2020 payroll or at worst send the computed figures back to the Bursary of each University for variation report where any error would have been discovered and corrected but this was not done.
It's very disheartening that all normal deductions like Cooperative, loans, Check Off,etc were left out contrary to the template agreed on.
Though, I've not seen the breakdown of the salary paid but we don't need a soothsayer to know that a bad job was done.
The only two issues discussed that will affect the salaries are tax and pension deductions.
On tax it was agreed that Universities could approach the State Internal Revenue Board for MOU with each each State while the pension deduction will be as stated by relevant law, that is,7.5% on Gross Salary.
Also, the IPPIS Director stated the Salary Table will be provided by NSIWC,though, a representative of NSIWC was in attendance and it was argued that no circulars were released to the Universities through the NUC on any agreements but it was shown that all allowances were captured in our Agreement, therefore, issue of circular or no circular should be resolved by NUC who should send it to the Universities.
All along I has been in close contact with IPPIS Director just to ensure that all was well.
The payment has caused serious problem in the Universities and many members have been destabilised.
At this point, JAC of NASU and SSANU will step in immediately if it means sleeping in OAGF we will gladly carry our mats along.
Also,a letter will be sent to Accountant General of Federation from JAC the moment the payslip is made available.

Christianity EtcProphet T.B Joshua: Coronavirus Will End On 27th March, 2020 (Video) by Samakus(op): 3:15pm On Mar 14, 2020

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6C_oq-ztK0

Founder of Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, has predicted that the virulent Coronavirus disease will disappear on March 27.

Joshua, the clairvoyant cleric and miracle worker with church headquarters at Ikotun, Lagos, had said on the SCOAN-owned Emmanuel TV that “the fearful Coronavirus which has caused fear and panic in the world will disappear the same way it came.

Specifically, he said, “Coronavirus, the fearful virus plaguing the world will end on 27th March 2020″.

However, the cleric’s prediction may have elicited hope amidst a disillusioned world population, considering that he has a reputation for giving predictions that often come to pass.

Joshua, having recently reeled out various predictions for this year, reportedly struck a chord, as one of them was said to have come to pass three days after he gave it.

The prediction, THISDAY gathered, had been that he warned against rift, disunity and breakaway in the British Royal Family; and that the recent rumblings in the British royal household were its manifestation.

He reportedly said, “Pray for unity and understanding among the Royal Family – because of what I am seeing.”

Besides, a former Minister of Aviation and vociferous politician, Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode, had claimed in his twitter handle that Joshua had given so many predictions to him that ultimately came to pass.

He said Joshua predicted events about Zimbabwe, Algeria, Sudan and North Korea, and that “to the Glory of God, they all came into manifestation”.

The Coronavirus disease was first reported in Nigeria last month when a 44-year-old Italian working for a supplier company to Lafarge Africa Plc, Ewekoro, Ogun State, was diagnosed of the disease.

He was subsequently quarantined in a Lagos health facility, while the Ogun State Government in turn quarantined no fewer than 28 persons that had had contacts with the Italian.

The feeler from my institution as at this afternoon is that the payment of February salary will commence on IPPIS from tomorrow based on the new minimum wage. The payment will be in gross or net salary without any deduction apart from TAX and PENSION. This is to enable individual staff ascertain the total amount of his/her salary based on the new minimum wage consequential adjustment. In subsequent months, cooperative loans, bank loans, union dues and other deductions shall be made from the source.

However, my viewpoint on the effectiveness of the IPPIS still remains that of skepticism.

Well, let's wait and see what happens tomorrow.
One thing I can tell you is that you're sound!! I like that. The way you write and stress your point elicits pure ecstasy within me.

You are right. FG will resolve to GIFMIS but not only after una don suffer salary delay and embark on industrial action. You guys should know how FG operates. FG no dey comply with workers demand unless strike action has been declared. This is why I am a bit relieved with ASUU' two weeks warning strike. STRIKE is the only language FG understands.
You're totally correct!! I feel that the leadership of nonacademic unions are either just plain cowardly or compromised. They should have gone on strike immediately minimum wage was not implemented in January.

I so much like ASUU leadership. They don't allow themselves to be intimidated, no matter what!

cerpvad:
My Guys at Federal Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education, make una all hear this. There is no indication that February salary will be paid this month at all and not even by March end. Due to the peculiarity in the functioning and system of universities, polytechnics and colleges of education, guys at the IPPIS are having serious difficulties with mounting the Federal tertiary institutions' payrolls on IPPIS. Hence the endless Memos to the federal tertiary institutions requesting for endless data they think would help them in their impossible mission. ASUU has seen it that IPPIS cannot handle the peculiarities in the financial administration of tertiary institutions. That is why ASUU directed all its members to shun registration on IPPIS.

Now that ASUU has declared a strike action, it is expected that all non-teaching unions of federal tertiary institutions in the country should reassess their stand on IPPIS. They should ask for withdrawal and de-registration of all non-teaching staff of federal tertiary institutions from the IPPIS with immediate effect. If this is not done, staff of federal tertiary institutions should get ready for LONG DAYS OF HUNGER
This cannot be true. Once staff that enrolled on IPPIS are not paid, there will be total shutdown of the education system. Government cannot afford that. They might likely resort to using GIFMIS to pay. Already, ASUU strike has brought tension to them

My case wasn't that of being fired. The company I was working with went under. Like, the company (electronic payment company) had a contract issue with her client company (power distribution) and my company's contract with her client company was abruptly dissolved. Over 200 of us (contract staff) came to work that day and was denied entry to our office(which was inside the property of our client company).

In fact, we saw other people sitting on our seats. Ridiculous. Gate was shut at us and we all went home.

God works in a mysterious ways. That 60k contract job ceasing, led to me activating a network that I always had but never asked for help from. Now we are Federal pikins. Make Buhari no owe us salaries o
