North is finished... South must be ready to protect their lands because these guys will come down when they finish
PoliticsRe: 618 Schools Shut In Northern States Over Abduction Scare by samdunzo: 2:17pm On Mar 15, 2021
Prussian:
Unfortunately, this is what Boko Haram has always wanted. So sad that Buhari allowed things get this bad.

They should stop posting southerners as youth corpers to the North. Afterall, they are shutting down schools in the North.
NYSC should be scrapped totally. It's clear that the purpose has not, and will never be, achieved. Besides, once the corpers from the South who usually double as essential workers stop coming up North, maybe the elite will wake up

East has been vindicated, West has been humiliated, North has been obliterated.....
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Lists Four-Step Solution To Farmer-Herder Crisis by samdunzo: 7:44pm On Mar 13, 2021
majamajic:
Not part , he is the main person

Without Tinubu urging Westerners to vote Buhari in 2015

Buhari for not come into power at all.
So I blame Tinubu before I blame Buhari
I was thinking this earlier. While the advice sounds good, he must remember that he is part of reason we are where we are.
PoliticsRe: Tinubu Lists Four-Step Solution To Farmer-Herder Crisis by samdunzo: 7:27pm On Mar 13, 2021
I've already addressed this issue:
1) Federal ban on open grazing that should be enforced with a shoot on sight order
2) Establishment of National Park Defense Unit to flush out criminal elements from our national parks
3) Decentralization of the police force. Governors should be able to choose their own commissioners and the commissioners should be answerable to them alone, not some IGP sitting in Abuja
4) NE and NW states should work with private companies to establish ranches in empty areas around the states. The reason why these two regions should take charge is because they have the highest number of domestic Fulani living with them, so placing ranches there will reduce ethnic tensions. Plus, these two regions contain 49.6% of nigeria's landmass. The FG should simply provide financial assistance to the states that need it.
Anything other than these steps is simply playing to the gallery
PoliticsRe: Benjamin Kalu: National Assembly Is Broke, Needs Bigger Budget To Be Efficient by samdunzo: 7:04pm On Mar 11, 2021
Looks like this restructuring we are all clamoring for is going to happen by force... I'm loving it sha grin
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Should Have 12 Regions No States by samdunzo: 8:18pm On Mar 09, 2021
No. We need to remember how Nigeria came to be, a merging btwn. Northern Nigeria and Southern Nigeria. So, North and South need to have an equal number of units. I suggest three in the North (NE, NW, and NC) and 3 in the South (SW, SE, and midwest/bendel)
PoliticsRe: Lagos With 21 Million People Gives 10% Tax To Private Firm Owned By Tinubu by samdunzo: 8:06pm On Mar 05, 2021
Monogamy:
Stop living in the last..

Come back and face the reality.

Name one credible and acceptable candidate from your region that can defeat Tinubu on the ballot?
None. Truth is, if Tinubu gets that ticket, I don't think anyone can beat him. The Atiku everyone is hailing is just as corrupt, if not more, than Tinubu
PoliticsRe: Yoruba Activist Blasts Sunday Igboho Says Tinubu Is The Only Answer by samdunzo: 7:52pm On Mar 05, 2021
[quote author=stonemasonn post=99637184]You don't understand, as bad as Tinubu is, he is the only strong politician and potential candidate for SW presidential ticket. Many Yorubas are beginning to realize the need to support their own especially when the VP another candidate, appears weak.
Look how the Fulani is exposing the weaknesses of the Yoruba people, who'll protect us? the Igbos like Peter Obi that don't hide their hate for us or snakes like El Rufai? Ameachi?
Yorubas badly need someone in Aso Rock, one more time to restore his dignity, and reverse his battered economic fortunes. [/q

Not really. Tinubu is what can be best described as a necessary evil. Yes, many Yorubas know and despise his daylight robbery of Lagos, and resent him bigtime for the role he played in bringing Buhari to power. However, Tinubu is the only person in the SW, and perhaps the entire South, that has enough clout to balance Northern dominance we are seeing play out. The only other person with Tinubu's reach in the South is Nnamdi Kanu, and he cant even enter the country right now. So, its a case of "he's a thief, but he's our thief" playing out right now

Hmm. North has made their plans to end Tinubu early this time around, unlike Awo and Abiola. I feel like Tinubu will definitely not go down without a fight, as he certainly has dirt against these people as well. Lets see who shall laugh last

PoliticsRe: Nigeria Is Stuck In A Rut, Yet Its Citizens Rule The World. Why? by samdunzo: 3:05pm On Mar 04, 2021
pacespot:
The only people that are happy with the current state of Nigeria are the northerners, and that says a lot about why the country is in rut. People that are yet to grapple with the modem civilization but only see affairs of this country as a power tussle between them and other people from the southern parts. Northern leaders lack the leadership initiatives and their youths lack the ability to bring their leaders to their toes.

Secondly and most importantly, I've never seen a black man that stands by any cause they believe in without rescinding on their faith. Black people lack the resilience, perseverance, and discipline needed to build a nation, they can only do their best in the functioning system put in place by other people. It is not a secret, look around you, how many successful enterprises originated by a black persons? Even in Nigeria as we know it as the most populous black nation, how many businesses founded twenty years ago that are still standing on their feet without deviating from their original purposes?

The resilience, perseverance and innovativeness needed to achieve this are lacking in the black culture.
True. Ive noticed that most Nigerians have "ready made syndrome", meaning that they are not ready to put the work required to make the country work. While we also have the issue of the North, us Southerners are by no means innocent in Nigeria's current rot
PoliticsRe: Northern Traders Call-Off Strike, Say FG Agreed To Pay N4.75bn Compensation by samdunzo: 8:47pm On Mar 03, 2021
seunmsg:
N4.75bn for what exactly? This is how government goes about enabling nonsense. Kidnapping student for ransom started like a joke and now it’s a very big monster and an unending sinkhole for government funds.

So many militia groups who ordinarily should face the full wrath of the law are now either enjoying amnesty or demanding amnesty.

Some idiots have started with food blockade and we are now appealing to them with billions of Naira. What message are we sending to people in other regions? Is this how we will be throwing billions away anytime folks in other regions start their own blockade? It is well with Nigeria.
You see why they think they are born to rule abi
PoliticsRe: ACF Asks Buhari To Extend Flight Ban To Benue, Taraba, Borno by samdunzo: 5:23pm On Mar 03, 2021
jedisco:
This country is slowly getting to a point of no return...

With the way these terrorists are spreading and the lackadaisical way the northern elites are handling it, seems it's only a matter of time before something gives...

This is a direct result of decades of keeping kids from education and rather brainwashing them with religious fanaticism. Most of the terrorists today were used to forment religious riots when they were kids. Now they're done fighting minorities who have moved together, they have turned against themselves.
I doubt Nigeria has the capacity to de-radicalise these guys when there are millions of kids roaming the streets waiting to join their ranks.
Back then, the elites said the almajiri does not want to go to a formal school and a grazing route should be provided for them across the nation yo graze their cows. Same elites had thrir kids studying in Europe. Now the grown terrorists (former almajiri) are saying they have no skill hence they resorted to violence. Same elites cannot return to their states in peace.

The chicken has finally come home to roost.....
Awo warned them but they no gree.....

overall90:
When it was reported some years ago that helicopters were being used to drop arms for herdsmen inside the bush somewhere in delta state, this government and their supporters rubbished the information but today it has come 360 degrees to bite them in the ass.
If you consider that the same wealthy northerners and politicians who own most of the cows are the same persons involved in this illegal gold business, you can easily connect two and two and know where all these problems are coming from.
I heard they did the same in Ondo too.... time will reveal all
PoliticsRe: The Looming Battle For Lagos And Imminent Fall Of The Tinubu Political Dynasty by samdunzo: 8:08pm On Mar 02, 2021
In order for APC/ACN to be great Tinubu must go. I would rather ACN pulls out of APC and starts all over again to make it a genuine national opposition. If they don't pull out, they need to spend the next 4 years after 2023 remaking their image, because the Northern caucus has not done a good job at all

Decorum please. No insults...
Sorry. I am Yoruba but it just pains me that my people have embarrassed themselves like this just for the sake of 2023. Whats the point of being president if our own house is not in order?
PoliticsRe: Why Yoruba Prefer Alliance With North – Adefuye by samdunzo: 4:51pm On Mar 02, 2021
Well done.... see what my people's alliance has gotten themselves into. I hope this guy isn't one of the those refugees his "allies" have rendered homeless. Sophisticated bastard

BSdetector:
Really don't give two shits about this guy, whether he gets ass fvcked by the people he helped to power, it's actually a good thing tho.....it will serve as a lesson to sellout and liberal sophistico Yoruba's who have foolishly or greedily put their party interests above their tribal interests, they'd learn that we the yoruba's have no allies or friends but are surrounded and inflitrated by snakes and rats. It's either we evolve or die out....let natural selection take it's cause.
Shebi them say "we need to align with the center" abi? Let this be a lesson to any Yoruba or Southern politician in general that dines with these people. Going forward, we Yorubas must present leaders with Yoruba interest at heart. If others call us tribalistic, so be fucking it.

Indispensable85:
Amaechi is number 2. But all of this may backfire. Pdp needs to position themselves properly to receive a soon to break away powerful faction of the Apc and thereafter put forward an acceptable candidate. Buhari has no influence again in the north. Apc will be beating black and blue.
APC might break into CPC and ACN again with the way things are going

Mysticwebb:
Truly Buhari is dangerous. So after using Tinubu to achieve his lifetime dream, this is the way he wants to pay him back? That devil in human skin is very wicked. So when he said I'm for nobody and for everybody he had his mind on Tinubu. To fight him when he has nothing else to gain from him. I blame Tinubu for keeping quiet in the face of all the atrocities that have been committed against us by Fulanis. They got him handicapped there and took away the expected sympathy and outcry from his people for him.
He will still win these people.
Looking at the date in this request, you will notice they have been on this since November last year.
So they have secretly been doing underground work to nail Tinubu after successfully parking Oshomole at one corner.
Even him is already smelling the coffee through Obaseki in an alleged N30b contract scandal. These people can forget all your help in seconds.
The number 2 shaded name on that request may unsurprisingly be Rotimi Amaechi
This is all Tinubu's doing. Dont dine with the devil. He should have listened to those warning him about merging with CPC, but he didn't. Now CPC has tasted presidency, ACN will be eating ponmo, and Tinubu will be in jail. Sad grin
PoliticsRe: Wike: In PDP, We Don't Make Promises And Start Giving Excuses Like APC - Wike by samdunzo: 8:36pm On Mar 01, 2021
thatigboman:
noo, PDP are more like leftists, like Democrats in US and APC are to the right, like Republicans.
No. PDP is more conservative with economic matters. Remember, it was under PDP that privatization of govt owned assets started. Jonathan also tried to deregulate the oil industry, which shows opposition to price control that APC campaigned to keep. APC is more welfare-based (Handouts, tradermoni, empowerment "schemes"wink that are leftist in nature.

RainOnMe:
Any sensible Nigerian knows there are no differences between PDP and APC. Same rogues infiltrating both parties. But on a subtle side, I still prefer PDP than the monsters of the day.
There is a difference, at least on paper. APC is centre left, with big government and what i call "welfare capitalism". PDP on the other hand is right leaning, with preference for small govt interference in the market
PoliticsRe: We Have No Refugees In Benin Republic – Ogun Govt by samdunzo: 5:06pm On Mar 01, 2021

PoliticsRe: FG To Flag Off Eastern Rail Project On March 9th by samdunzo: 10:49pm On Feb 28, 2021
naptu2:
That's what I sayijg. States haven't been able to build the lines within thier states (because of financial issues), how will they be able to complete inter-state lines?
This is a fundamental issue then..... many states are economically unviable. In the short term, states in the same region could theoretically combine funds. Long term however, we will have to revisit the structure of the federation
PoliticsRe: FG To Flag Off Eastern Rail Project On March 9th by samdunzo: 10:36pm On Feb 28, 2021
naptu2:
Here's the problem. State governments can build lines, but only metro lines in their states. Many states have been talking about building metro lines for almost 20 years, but only Cross River has been able to complete a small metro and that's because of the problem of money.
Im talking about lines across states.... what stops lagos and ondo from building a railline connecting each other? and private investors cant invest either
PoliticsRe: FG To Flag Off Eastern Rail Project On March 9th by samdunzo: 9:32pm On Feb 28, 2021
naptu2:
Exactly! They are actually going to do both. The only issue is that Nigeria doesn't have enough money to do all at once, so it's line by line.

Regarding ports and goods in the east, the eastern line is going to lead to a new deep sea port in Bonny.
It would be better if the NRC act is amended so that state govts and private investors can build lines, which would then be managed by the NRC. I think it would save the FG a lot of money in the long run
