tutudesz: Miyetti Allah and IPOB constant insults on Ethnic leaders contributed to the trust issue ahead of 2023. True. All in all, 2023 will be very interesting. Funny enough, both of those groups(Fulani and Igbo) could very well end up working together to get presidency and VP |

tutudesz: Hopefully they can fix it, but trust is one big issue True. The problem now is that whatsoever sense of "unity" the country had has been destroyed, now everybody will feel empowered to pursue an ethnic agenda at the expense of the country. That's probably why the North is so hesitant to agree to zoning to the south |

tutudesz: With the present national assembly members, I doubt if any useful law will be made toward that direction. Well, there's a time for everything. One "benefit" of the Buhari administration is that everyone now sees how flawed our democratic institutions are, and the urgent need to fix them. |

It seems that the herdsmen crisis can be divided into 3 groups Religious Extremism Crime Syndicates Poverty
While the 1st one may be out of the governments hand, the 2nd and 3rd one can be defeated. What needs to happen is intense investment into the human resources the North has, such as schools, hospitals, roads, etc. Also, although some may not like this, a revised form of RUGA may help as well. I suggest that the Land Use Act is repealed, and that state governors in the NE and NW buy land from people in these areas. Hopefully this would be a win win for all parties involved |

Aconomist: Why don't they build Calabar to Lagos before linking Lagos with Kano? The funny thing is that line can be constructed with funds from Lagos state alone. But then, linking up the SE SW and SS/ND would mean improving the economy of the South while leaving that of the North. So, it wont be built for a while |

NRC should be made a quasi- federal organization. That way, private investors can build and help manage rail lines. Cuz I don't see how the FG can pay all these loans |

The undocumented illegal Chinese miners all over Nigeria might be making more money for China through mining than nigeria makes through oil.... You will think I'm joking but if you know how the Chinese operate, you will need no body to tell you that for them to risk fulani herdsmen and Boko Haram to go mining illegaly in northern nigeria means they're making a kill... They refuse to face the facts that oil revenue is no longer capable of funding this country... diasporans are sending more money than the amount we get from oil revenues. Abohboy: Eritrea is a dictatorship and the leader clearly doesn’t want anything to do with Ethiopia unless they become a democracy and choose a new leader I don’t see Ethiopia getting access to the sea without him dying or being taken out first. No. Ethiopia and Eritrea are actually improving relations, and recently Eritrea offered assistance to Ethiopia during the Tigray offensive. So, I do think he would be open to it if he retains a position in the new govt. It's convincing the people of Ethiopia and Eritrea that will take work. But, I still think it can happen |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by samdunzo: 6:03pm On Jan 01, 2021 |
AskiaHarem: Nigeria should start out with absorbing West Africa kicking out the French and revitalizing the region. Then strengthen ties with Central Africa(Cameroon, Chad, both Congos, Gabon, Angola etc). Ethiopia and Eritrea are liabilities they routinely flip flop between Pan Africanism and Anti-Africanisn. They also tend to give the middle finger to the rest of Africa and boot lick Westerners and Arabs when the moment suits them. There a potential future Trojan Horse. Relations with them can remain standard. I'd rather see Tanzania as the primary Eastern allie. Sure closer ties to Egypt can work but not to close same with Morocco and Algeria. South Africa can stay bilateral as it is. I still think we can work w/ Ethiopia & Eritrea. They do have an important history in the continent, and Addis Adaba is still widely regarded as the political capital of Africa. All Ethiopia needs to unlock its potential is access to the sea, which Eritrea has. You can convince the Eritreans that reunification as a federation will allow them to reap the dividends of democracy, and also attract investment to the country, since the ports will be busy |

Abohboy: Cobalt, lithium, gold and diamonds are not being hissed out cobalt and lithium are the minerals of the future you cannot build a battery or any smart device without them, so no, I agree with the countries you mentioned, jonathan actually wanted to fund inga dam project but he was voted out before the project could start off. DRC could provide power to the whole of central and west Africa with inga dam alone think about 80 000MW of power produced from 4 dams in one river and that’s inga for you. DRC is blessed as a country but cursed with leadership and terrorism funded by the west. True. Leadership is a problem in DRC as well tho. DRC is a lot like Nigeria, oozing with potential but cursed by unpatriotic leaders |

Abohboy: Nigeria needs federalism just as much as DRC but another problem in DRC is Western powered terrorists which cause instability allowing for illegal smuggling of raw materials True, but you know most of these minerals are starting to be phased out. Also, Rwanda is a problem there as well, as they've been smuggling minerals. I think Nigeria should strengthen our ties with DRC, Ethiopia & Eritrea, Egypt, and South Africa. Cuz these are the countries that I think have the most potential in Africa |

Abohboy: Even with such bad leadership we are still leading the continent, and Nigerians are waking up we are going to vote for Sowore in 2023 and Nigeria will be revolutionised the only way to a good Nigeria is restructuring and re drafting of the 1999 constitution. We will make it there, and yes every single African country can become great but not all can become superpowers Austria is an example and Switzerland they are both highly developed but they aren’t World superpowers only Russia, France and the UK are world superpowers, same way only Nigeria, Egypt and maybe South Africa are going to be superpowers as of now, even though DRC and Ethiopia are high contenders waht they’re experiencing st the omens stops them from achieving it. DRC/Zaire needs federalism, and Ethiopia and Eritrea need to reunite(Abyssinia). Thats what will enable those two to progress |

Truthfully, Nigeria wasted the oil money big time over the years. Wise leaders would have invested in infrastructure, education, and healthcare to ensure that the citizens were equipped to succeed later on. Instead, it was wasted through absolute frivolities. This coming decade, many will begin to realize that the country’s most important asset is no longer oil, but her people. Regions/ ethnic groups that invested in human capital will reap the benefits, while those who didn’t will suffer for it |
