AceRoyal:I get u. A little optimism would definitely actualize a dream like this. The entire country gains from such ventures. Its time Nigerian politicians and elders stop having myopic view towards nation building. This generation of Nigerians must not inherit the hatred and deceit of the last generation. |
AceRoyal:It is reasonings like this that has continue to held this country in economic slavery. Paying little or no service to other ports in the country amounts to deprivation of the entire people of nigeria. Restructuring of the country is the only way out of this secession debacle. What unity is there in depriving other regions of economic gains of having an asset like this. I shake my head for nigeria. |
Thank you. Please, keep the calls coming.security is paramount. |
The problem with islam is that most muslims dont love themselves; the sunnis and shites that constitute majority of muslims are always at each others jugular. Iran hates iraq, iran hates saudi arabia. Every arm of islam wants dominance over the other. Why are the rich muslim nations like saudi arabia, UAE, Qatar not taking as much refugees as the west is doing. Who should rise up to defend and accomodate its fellow muslim brother in times of war like this. Why are muslims all over the world eager to protest against the burning of the quran or inciting of anti islamic comments, but will not hold a gathering to condemn the evil perpetuated by a few deranged ones? To say the truth, before the advent of islamic terrorism, islam was the most attractive religion to those looking to move closer to god and practise religion. But today, the bad eggs are really tarnishing its image while the good hearted muslims just sit back and do nothing. I wish muslims all over the world would rise up for humanity and hold rallies worldwide protesting and rejecting islamic terrorism. |
Good move by the lagos state government. The civil populace should also take a cue. Security is everybody's business. In UK, where you have the highest number of public CCTVs, 70 percent of these cameras are owned by individuals and coporate bodies. The UK law mandates that access to footages by security operative be granted on request. This is why islamic terrorists find it hard to sucessfully carry out attacks in uk despite having the second largest number of muslims in europe. |

To think some parents pay as much as 350,000 for a JSS 1 student. Hundred thousand is paltry. Not good enough to call a reward. |
I was in a school, 10km away from lagos, last week with a friend. Two teachers were lamenting how a parent had to withdraw their ward in a very expensive school in lagos for non performance despite the best facilities and overpaid teachers.A friend of mine who is a creative art teacher in a school whom i discussed with, made me know that a lot of private schools we see around are all in the habit of "packaging"(in his own words") just to attract parents with all the looks and feel of a well structured school, but majority of them lack what it takes to train their students. In most cases, staffs are either overworked and underpaid or overpaid and non productive. Some proprietors decieve parents with flashy school buses, flashy class and staff rooms or library, but look deep and you would discover that the real business of schooling is very very poor. Parents, before you enrol your ward and pay exhorbitant fees, look beyond the razzmatazz and see if the staffs and right facilities are in place. Concerned citizen. |
Nigerians and manners. We are our own enemies. |
dhardline:Well said. Lagos is run like a mafia ring. Transportation, trade and commerce and taxation. Until lagosians free themselves fromthis rent seeking agbero behavior, it is far from being a modern city. Every bus stop in lagos is ran by cultists claiming to be NURTW staffs. It is so embarassing. Leadership in lagos needs a change in mentality. |
free2ryhme:we would be foolong ourselves to think BH is not on ground in lagos. We need to be more security conscious. The army and dss cannot do this alone. |
PTAs and proprietors of private and public schools should beef up security around schools as they will be targets. |

I just sent you a mail. |
Samunosuke:Whats its sucess rate against linux based wireless access point. |
Fulaman198:For a drilling exercise, you dont have to carry out wireless hacking on just anyone"s network. In fact, i do my drills my swift wireless router and a friendly neighbor"s. The intent was not evil but detecting security flaws. If you dont know the flaws in your network, somebody else will help you detect them and if someone with the dark hat does that first, u might have youself to blame. If you are the admin of an establishment with data resources that other companys will not mind paying money for, you are left with no choice but to constantly look out 4 vulnerabilities in your network set up. |
Nairalanders beware of fraudulent laptop dealers on this website. Many of these sellers have offices in computer village ikeja. A friend of mine wanted to buy a HP laptop, got the contact of a seller from nairaland. He couldnt buy the laptop he wanted due to limited funds opted for a lesser configuration at a relatively lesser amount. Few weeks after, the laptop (supposedly brand new) develops motherboard issues. We took it to HP REPAIR CENTRE and there it was discovered that the laptop mother board had been used, refurbished and transfered into a new look laptop. Nairalanders, beware!!! There are many fraudulent computer dealers on this site that are fraudulent, especially those with offices in computer village (not saying every dealer in computer village is a fraud). |
A mix of aiercrack ng and airodump using dictionary method to hack WPA/WPA 2 is the closest i have come. Hacking a wifi network can take a long time and effort depending on the strength of key. |
