Dear all, after submission of application at VFS, and you discover you omit one very vital document like 24hrs later, bearing in mind that you mentioned the said document in your SOP as attachment, is there a remedy? Let's discuss!

Cc: @austinepee4 @oluwacanny @maziude @thesoj et all
Yes there is a remedy. My funding letter came out August 22, but I applied June 6th. I sent it through the case specific enquiry system and it was added toy file. If it is very important like u said, and u are not to comfortable mailing. Withdraw asap and reapply. But CSE and their email will be very sufficient I think. Cos CSE will added it to ur processed file anywere world wide. Just get to link your app on line first. Then send CSE with explanation to support it.

I actually lost my receipt of payment of fees, and tracking number but I have the scanned copy and emails. Will it be sufficient to collect my passport when they dispatch it to my address

Though nothing is impossible, children of 7 and 5years na community oo.. More reason to live them behind so u focus on your study. PGD, what was your undergrad GPA? Ur sponsor ain't bad at all..
modupeesa:
Good morning faithfuls and the gurus in the house. I'd been a silent observer a d taking down every info as if I'm in the classroom.

I got and admission from nwcc for Pgd business for January 2018. I studied business administration for my undergraduate. Presently working in line with my course of study

I intend going with my two children of 7 and 5 years. Husband is my sponsor, according to the info I gathered on this forum, I've gotten all docs: letter of Intro from my employer, my pay slip, my pension statement, husband's SOA 15m, balance of his savings from his cooperative in his work place (federal govt job) 3m, his landed property, paid 1 year tuition, SOP and other doc.

Pls gurus in the house advice me, what do u think will be my faith cos of my children I'm taking with me. And any other thing u think I can do again.

Thank you for your reply. I was planning to pay a year tuition fee and transfer living expenses to a dorm account created in my name. Is that good enough and will there be any issue with the dorm account newly created?
Why not raise a bank draft. Then your sponsor deposits all necessary funds. Act fast ooo

Check ur acceptance letter for the last date to defer, then wait till 4days and initiate deferral process.
Sugaro:
I wrote to my school(department) about the state of my Trv application and to know about the grace period for resumption/ deadline for deferral should I not get a positive response from CIC, only for them to reply by asking me to let them know if I want deferral so they can start the process. I just tire shocked sad. They didn't even answer my questions, as if they just want to dash my seat to somebody . Meanwhile the recruitment coordinator says I have till 20th Sept, and referred me to them just to get this kind msg!
This ppl wan put person for confusion.

Pls can one still defer after resumption? Or u must do it before the resumption date.?

Approved! Glory be to God!
I was going to wait until I pick up my passport from VFS before sharing my profile but I'll go ahead and share my testimony, anyway.

Going for MA (Thesis based) at UWO - Fall 2017

Background
BA (2011) Work experience in my field; self-employed since December 2016

Timeline

Online application 1st July (Upfront Medicals)
Biometrics 5th July
Review of Eligibility/Medicals Passed/Passport Request 17th August
Passport Submission 18th August (yet to be picked up)
Correspondence Letter/Document Status 24th August

Submitted:

All CIC documents

1 page SOP (short and straight to the point - Why I want to study in Canada, rationale behind my choice of school, my research interests, how I'm going to apply the knowledge gained to my career when I return to Nigeria and my source of funding)

Admission letter + email to me from the school, acknowledging receipt of original transcript (it was a condition of admission)

Funding Letter from School (Tuition)

1 page Letter of Funding from Parents (Living Expenses)

Parents' financial docs - bank statement, employment letter and payslips

Obstacles that I overcame

My full name (first name, initials and surname) on my birth certificate and admission letter is ABCD. However, on my passport and other documents, it is ACD. On the form where it asked if you've ever gone by any other name, I listed both versions of my name.

A bulk sum of money was transferred from my parents' former employers the day before I submitted. (The reason for my 'late' submission) To avoid suspicion of money lodgement, I included a letter from the employer to my parents informing them that it was their end of service package (the truth). My parents' SOP also addressed this transfer and its intended use towards my living expenses.

There is no doubt in my mind that doing upfront medicals saved me time. The day I went for my medicals coincided with the 1st day of my cycle and I was not allowed to give certain samples until more than a week later. Imagine if this had happened in August. Ladies, take note of this.

Home Tie - To be honest, this is something I don't fully understand. All I did was state in my SOP conclusion that I would be eager to return to my family after studies.

Travel history - I was denied a UK visa 6 years ago, which I stated. However I included my granted visas to an EU country (10 years ago) and an East African country (5 years ago)

So there you have it; I submitted what CIC specifically asked me to submit and provided explanation and additional documents where necessary. A few documents may have delayed me but I worked on other parts of my application during the interim. All in all, I thank God, because it is truly His doing. I also thank you Nairalanders for sharing your experience and resources with me. Wishing everyone the best of luck!
That's my Poesy!!!!! Safe trip and be sure we will hook up hopefully Winter... Pleaseeeeee don't form too busy for me ooooo...

I don't understand this CIC people. My friend told me that she was delayed because of insufficient funds. She paid a year tuition fee, and submitted her dad's statement of account with balance of 20m and she is his only dependant. She said they ticked all three boxes for insufficient funds. It's like they didn't even check her application to find the tuition receipt.
Did her father transfer fund to her account? Was her fathers statement of account a company statement of account? What were the content of her fathers letter to them? Did he spell out the amount he will make available to her? If anyone is sponsoring anybody, they should please transfer the said sponsorship fund to the person account and the person should draw the VO's attention to it. CIC processes are changing daily. Cross all T's and dot all I's.

My salary acct of abt 1m
Married with kids.
Have usa visiting visa.

My school fees is 19,000cad.

I thank God cos he knows the best.

I so much desire a scholarship from my school but did not get it. Will defer till next session and c how to tackle the reasons above. Though I still have an application for winter 2018.

I really appreciate @mazi for reviewing my SOP.
Thank you dapoddon for your constant follow up wishing u safe landing.

For other applicants, it will end in praise.

Financial aacounting sound different from economics based on your work experience. Did you relate dem well in your SOP..

Have you paid your fees in full? Also, did your brother transfer your upkeep 10k cad to your account? Did you apply with your kids and husband?? If u did apply with any of your kids, u need to show evidence of taking care of dem and how u will cover there own expenses too. This may be d reason.

I don't think this is an automated response. I think an officer is reviewing your application at the moment. Be patient with him or her. The workload on the officer may be delaying but it will all end in praise. Cheers!

Dear Sir/Madam,
Your application is with an officer for review.

Thank you,

What exactly does this mean?. I understand the English but who else got this response after sending cse? Is it an automated response?

Senatorkolade:
A friend asked me this question and I feel like throwing it into this forum for analytical advice.
He wants to apply for student visa, his tuition fees and his living expenses has been deposited into a domiciliary account in his name. The question now is that HIS SALARY ACCOUNT BALANCE HIS SLIM AND NOT SMILING.
Is it compulsory that he include this salary account statement with his application?.
Well, proofing income source goes a long way in application approval. While his salary account might be slim, he may need to prove his source of income some way or the other. Like showing his savings certificates, gift deeds, and business registration, bonds and etc. Proving he gets income now shows the VO he can sustain him self on the long run and not be a burden in the Canada. I feel anyone can just source funds to apply for a visa and return it afterwards. That is why VO request for past employement letters, and tag it misrepresentation. If he has been working in other place, contract or permanent, an offer letter and pay slip of the past goes a long way proving he has been making money. All in all, he has to prove to the VO his source of income even if he has huge sum and very low salary. That will even raise eye brows to the VO I think.

My 2percent though.

Hi samjumbo, try and wait till first week of September before sending a deferral request to your graduate program coordinator but ensure you inform your supervisor when you're so sure that you won't meet up with your initially proposed start date. Once that is done, the program coordinator will be the one to inform the SGPS, then like after 48hrs, you would be able to download a new offer letter on your student center.

I hope this helps.

Thanks Markab. I am on funding. Would deferring my at that time because CIC couldn't meet up affect my funding Am really worried about this markab
