This is a Federal Govt road, not state. With all the revenue the FG has been making over the years on the Ports, you would wonder why this road has been left to deteriorate to this extent, let just hope that with the new FG, something would be done to arrest this situation once and for all, it is indeed an eyesore.

Sean McGrellis (37) Jumped from His 25th-floor Balcony

The friends and family of Sean McGrellis are grieving his loss after the 37-year-old Williamstown, New Jersey, man jumped from a balcony high up at Center City's Embassy Suites Hotel on Saturday afternoon. He has been identified by the Philadelphia Medical Examiner's Office, and the death was ruled a suicide.

Bystanders saw McGrellis climb out onto his 25th-floor balcony at the hotel on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, and some watched as he threw himself to his death. One eyewitness caught the jump on a disturbing video that is, unfortunately, making the rounds on social media.

"I knew Sean as a church musician and an arts administrator," says Rich Galassini of Germantown's longstanding Cunningham Piano Company, which worked with McGrellis on the Philadelphia International Music Festival in Bryn Mawr on several occasions. "The Sean I knew dealt with challenges every day and made it work every time. He showed a positive attitude that was infectious if you spent time around him. I never saw a side of him that was in such pain."

In addition to being the administrative director of that festival, McGrellis was a church musician, specializing in Catholic masses, according to his LinkedIn page.

He was also a karaoke fan, based on some of the memories left on his obituary page:
Sean spent a good two years as a regular vocalist at Karaoke Blvd. He was a favorite performer among the regulars. "Unchained Melody" was a favorite of his. He and I shared a love for the musical Wicked. The last song we performed as a duet together was "For Good." I'll miss his quick messages on Facebook and I take comfort in knowing peace is finally with him. My love goes out to his family and friend.

Crime / Re: Man Narrates How His Ex Poured Hot Water On Him On (graphic Pics) by sammily(m): 1:15pm On Aug 10, 2015
I think the initial mistake was to invite her to the wedding in the first place. Since the relationship is already broken, I see no reason for her to be there even if the sister had invited her previously before the break-up. An Ex should remain an Ex.

To the feminist asking for her own side of the story, what is wrong is wrong, even if they dated for 10 years, there is no justification for that. A break-up is better than infidelity/divorce. I also read were his hinted that the hot water may have been for him and his new lover, what if she had poured it on the new innocent lover as well and maimed her with scars, will you still be asking to hear her side of the story before condemning her actions?

Jokes Etc / And That's How The Fight Started... by sammily(m): 1:48pm On Jul 16, 2015
My wife and I were watching Who Wants To Be A Millionaire while we were in bed.
I turned to her and said, 'Do you want to have Sex?' 'No,' she answered.
I then said, 'Is that your final answer?'

... She didn't even look at me this time, simply saying, 'Yes..'
So I said, "Then I'd like to phone a friend."

And that's when the fight started...

I took my wife to a restaurant.

The waiter, for some reason, took my order first.

"I'll have the rump steak, rare, please."
He said, "Aren't you worried about the mad cow?"
"Nah, she can order for herself."

And that's when the fight started.....

My wife and I were sitting at a table at her high school
reunion, and she kept staring at a drunken man swigging his
drink as he sat alone at a nearby table.

I asked her, "Do you know him?"
"Yes", she sighed, "He's my old boyfriend. I understand he took to drinking
right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear he
hasn't been sober since."

"My God!" I said, "Who would think a person could go on
celebrating that long?"

And then the fight started...

When our lawn mower broke and wouldn't run, my wife kept hinting to me that I should get it fixed.
But, somehow I always had something else to take care of first, the shed, the boat,
making beer.. Always something more important to me.

Finally she thought of a clever way to make her point.
When I arrived home one day, I found her seated in the tall grass, busily snipping away with a tiny pair of sewing
scissors. I watched silently for a short time and then went into
the house. I was gone only a minute, and when I came out again
I handed her a toothbrush.

I said, "When you finish cutting the
grass, you might as well sweep the driveway."

The doctors say I will walk again, but I will always have a limp.

My wife sat down next to me as I was flipping channels.
She asked, "What's on TV?"
I said, "Dust."

And then the fight started...

Saturday morning I got up early, quietly dressed, made my lunch, and slipped quietly into the garage. I hooked up the
boat up to the van and proceeded to back out into a torrential downpour. The wind was blowing 50 mph, so I pulled back into the garage, turned on the radio, and discovered that the weather would be bad all day.

I went back into the house, quietly undressed, and slipped back into bed. I cuddled up to my wife's back;
now with a different anticipation, and whispered, "The weather out there is terrible."

My loving wife of 5 years replied, "And, can you believe my stupid husband is out fishing in that?"

And that's how the fight started...

_______________________________

My wife was hinting about what she wanted for our upcoming anniversary.
She said, "I want something shiny that goes from 0 to 150 in about 3 seconds."

I bought her a bathroom scale.

And then the fight started......

After retiring, I went to the Social Security office to apply
for Social Security. The woman behind the counter asked me

for my driver's License to verify my age. I looked in my pockets

and realized I had left my wallet at home. I told the woman that

I was very sorry, but I would have to go home and come back later.

The woman said, 'Unbutton your shirt'. So I opened my shirt revealing my curly silver hair.

She said, 'That silver hair on your chest is proof enough for me' and she processed my Social Security application.

When I got home, I excitedly told my wife about my experience at the Social Security office.

She said, 'You should have dropped your pants. You might have gotten disability too.'

And then the fight started...

________________________________

My wife was standing nude, looking in the bedroom mirror.

She was not happy with what she saw and said to me,
"I feel horrible; I look old, fat and ugly. I really need you
to pay me a compliment.'

I replied, "Your eyesight's damn near perfect."

And then the fight started........

I rear-ended a car this morning...the start of a REALLY bad day!

The driver got out of the other car, and he was a DWARF!!
He looked up at me and said 'I am NOT Happy!'
So I said, 'Well, which one ARE you then?'

That's how the fight started.

One year, I decided to buy my mother-in-law a cemetery plot as a Christmas gift...

The next year, I didn't buy her a gift When she asked me why, I replied,
"Well, you still haven't used the gift I bought you last year!"

And that's how the fight started.

They are the same people that will blame the govt for corruption, like its any different from what they are doing, if not even worse.

Car Talk / Graphic Pics: Passengers In Danfo Bus Badly Burnt After Fuel Stored Exploded by sammily(m): 9:55pm On May 05, 2015
Passengers in a commercial bus were badly burnt this afternoon when the fuel stored in a keg at the back of the vehicle exploded due to heat. The danfo bus caught fire after it turned at Chevron Roundabout in Lekki, Lagos. Immediately the bus caught fire, passengers in the vehicle started struggling out of the bus but the ones at the back weren't so lucky as they were badly burnt in the explosion. This is so sad! People storing fuel in their vehicles due to fuel scarcity. The photos are graphic. Continue to see them...

Crime / President Botha's Alleged Racist Speech About Black South Africans by sammily(m): 9:53am On Apr 29, 2015
This is a speech allegedly made by former White South African President P.W Botha to his cabinet about 27 years ago. It was reprinted by David G Mailu for the Sunday Times, a South African newspaper, in 1985.

The speech below

” We are not obliged even the least to try to prove to anybody and to the blacks
that we are superior people. We have demonstrated that to the blacks in 1001 ways. The Republic of South Africa that we know of today has not been created by wishful thinking. We have created it at the expenses of intelligence, sweat and blood……We do not pretend like other whites that we like the blacks

The fact that, blacks look like human beings and act like human beings do not necessarily make them sensible human beings. Hedgehogs are not porcupines and lizards are not crocodiles because they look alike. If God had wanted us to be equal to the blacks, he would have created us all of a uniform colour and intellect.

But he created us differently: Whites, Blacks, Yellow, Rulers and the ruled. Intellectually,we are superior to the Blacks; that has been proven beyond any reasonable doubt over the years. I believe that the Afrikaner is honest, God fearing person, who has demonstrated practically the right way of being. By now every one of us has seen it practically that the Blacks cannot rule themselves.

Give them guns and they will kill each other. They are good in nothing else but making noise, dancing, marrying many wives and indulging in sex. Let us all accept that the Blackman is a symbol of poverty, mental inferiority, laziness and emotional incompetence. Isn’t it plausible?

Therefore that the Whiteman is created to rule the Black man, And here is a creature (Black man) that lacks foresight….. The average Black does not plan his life beyond a year”.

So tell me, despite the insults and the crude racist nature of the alleged speech, has the black SA man been able to prove this man wrong after 29yrs.......??

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Should I Take This Job Offer? Pls I Need Your Advise by sammily(m): 12:14pm On Apr 09, 2015
I had same experience, got a job in an indian telecom servicing coy in VI also, pay was 50k then. I must tell you, working with Indians is not easy, they will use you wella but the good thing about it are;

* you will gain the necessary experience you need in this sector.
* as an engineer, you will likely be working on the field and you will be paid transport and accommodation allowance if need be.
* most importantly, if you maintain a good rapport with the staffs of the main operators and other telecoms coy which you will work with and if there is any internal vacancy, they will inform you and you can make your switch to a better coy.

You notice that MTN and the likes hardly employ fresh graduate engineers but rather experienced, its from similar servicing coys like this that they get their engineers from, so take the job and get your experience like most of us did and move on in time to a better place.
