It is always Bisi Akande first, then Asiwaju next.

APC Presidential Ticket: The Osinbanjo - Asiwaju Contrast - Part 1

The choice of who become APC flagbearer is purely a party affairs but comparing the 2 most talked about in APC as at today, below is my thoughts

Competence & Leadership

According to Wikipedia, Competence is the set of demonstrable characteristics and skills that enable and improve the efficiency or performance of a job and Leadership, both as a research area and as a practical skill, encompasses the ability of an individual, group or organization to "lead", influence or guide other individuals, teams, or entire organizations.

Both Vice President Osinbajo (VP Osinbanjo) & Party’s national leader Tinubu (NL Tinubu) have shown & demonstrated competence at different point of their political careers. They have also, both demonstrated leadership at its best at different points.

VP Osinbanjo

Many have alluded to the remarkable achievements of VP Osinbanjo at the Lagos state ministry of justice while he served as attorney general and commissioner for justice under NL Tinubu as governor for 8 years.
Some of his notable achievements includes the idea of bringing justice to the masses, specifically the establishment of both office of the Public Defender & Citizen mediation center. These establishment assisted the public with pro-bono services. Also, Improved welfare for judges by extension elimination of judiciary corruption was achieved under VP Osinbanjo as commissioner for justice. Both Magistracy and high court bench benefitted from a review of their working conditions and practice. The high rating of the Lagos state judiciary in terms of integrity and efficiency today is largely due to the foundations built by VP Osinbanjo. This was corroborated on ChannelsTV Sunrise show by a current member of federal house; Hon. Kuye Ademorin who was a practicing lawyer and a current member of NL Tinubu’s support group.
Its important to mention that all these achievements were under the leadership of NL Tinubu as governor and as such provided the support and enabling environment for these.
VP Osinbanjo also played a vital role in the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria successful push to recover stolen electoral mandates of south west state at the election tribunal.
VP Osinbanjo displayed competence as Acting president for a non-continuous period of 5months, providing good leadership even in the face of difficult situations like firing the all-powerful DG of DSS for invading the National assembly with his men. Also, forwarding to the national assembly for confirmation as substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria; Samuel Walter Onnoghen who has been in acting capacity despite NJC recommendations. As chairmen, National Economic Council, he has pushed many policies to the betterment of Nigerians and he led NEC to set up judicial panels of enquiries in each state to investigate and compensate victims of police brutality and End-Sars related protest.

NL Tinubu

Although there is only a few documented information about the achievements through the professional career of NL Tinubu, but the fact that he was an accountant with Mobil oil Nigeria and then rose to become an executive of the company speaks volume about how successful a career person he was.
It’s a widely accepted fact that NL Tinubu drew the blueprint of both infrastructural and economic development we see in Lagos today. He pioneered the Bus Rapid Transit and the traffic management authority to bring sanity to the transportation challenges of Lagos state.
He displayed strong leadership by conviction through the creations of additional local government areas even though the Federal government was against such. He was convinced, that this will bring governance closer to his people and provide them various forms of employment opportunities. Lagos state and a few other states had earlier created additional LGAs and upon the FG wielding the big stick, to stop statutory allocations to all affected states, other states quickly reverted to the old councils for their allocation to be restored but Lagos state with NL Tinubu as governor remained resolute in its conviction and dragged the FG to the supreme court instead. Supreme court would later rule that the FG’s actions were illegal and ordered release of allocations backlog, a political solution was reached on the LGA.
Another very impeccable leadership traits of NL Tinubu are his ability to identify, develop and create platforms for exceptional persons to explore their potentials to the fullest and benefit of the society.
VP Osinbanjo, FM Fashola, FM Aregbesola, Gov Sanwolu, Gov Fayemi, Gov Oyetola to mention but a few are all product of NL Tinubu “leadership school”.
NL leader Tinubu was also, most instrumental in the coalition of defunct ACN & CPC to form the APC. The All Progressive Congress (APC) would go on to win 2015 general elections, defecting the incumbent.

Verdict: On the assumption, that the best predictor of future events is past events, I will say both VP Osinbanjo & NL Tinubu are both exceptionally qualified in their rights in terms of competence & leadership.

Who Is this person wasting time on analysis that doesn’t make sense? Wasted time reading this thinking you got some smart evidences. This is very lame to say the least.
Eskdale:
Abba Kyari, the late Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari is dead and buried, however, a research into the data provided by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC has created confusion on when he actually died.

According to a statehouse press release sent to IGBERE TV, the late Abba Kyari died on Friday, April 17, 2020.

The presidency claimed Kyari died at 67 following complications from COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.

However, a research carried out by Firstreportsonline opined that Abba Kyari might not have died on Friday, April 17.
Your browser does not support JavaScript!

.

Going with the data from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), there appears to be a mix-up on the actual date he passed away.

The Lagos State Commissioner for health, Professor Akin Abayomi, on Saturday, stated that Kyari, until his demise, was receiving treatment at First Cardiology Consultants, a private hospital located in Ikoyi, Premium Times reports.

And this was also confirmed in an earlier statement from President Buhari’s aide, Bashir Ahmad, who tweeted that Kyari was in Lagos receiving care.

Though I really don’t know who this Lola is, but someone close to her should pls tell her to leave Abba Kyari to recuperate in peace, he’s in Lagos & responding well to treatment. If it’s caring she should also use the same energy to ask the whereabouts of otherpatients

— Bashir Ahmad (@BashirAhmaad)

Though I really don’t know who this Lola is, but someone close to her should pls tell her to leave Abba Kyari to recuperate in peace, he’s in Lagos & responding well to treatment. If it’s caring she should also use the same energy to ask the whereabouts of other #COVID19 patients

— Bashir Ahmad (@BashirAhmaad) April 3, 2020

On Saturday, in announcing the daily Lagos COVID-19 reports for Friday, April 17, the health commissioner said 32 COVID-19 cases were confirmed in the state on April 17, with three deaths.

The deceased are 2 males and 1 female aged 52, 63 and 67. Two of the dead had underlying health issues.

The 2 males had no travel history or record of contact with any infected person.

The 2 males had no travel history or record of contact with any infected person.@drobafemihamzat@JokeSanwoolu @SegsDr @followlasg@LagosPHCB @NigeriaGov@Chikwe_I @WHO

— Prof. Akin Abayomi (@ProfAkinAbayomi) April 18, 2020

Professor Abayomi mentioned the three deaths to include two males and a female. “The deceased are 2 males and 1 female aged 52, 63 and 67. Two of the dead had underlying health issues,” he tweeted.

Fifty-one new cases ofhave been reported;

32 in Lagos

6 in Kano

5 in Kwara

2 in FCT

2 in Oyo

2 in Katsina

1 in Ogun

1 in Ekiti

As at 10:10 pm 17th April there are 493 confirmed cases ofreported in Nigeria.

Discharged: 159

Deaths: 17

— NCDC (@NCDCgov)

The health commissioner added: “The 2 males had no travel history or record of contact with any infected person” – meaning they caught the coronavirus here in Nigeria.

Now, two things suggest Abba Kyari may not have died on April 17. First is the age, and the second is the travel history.

The age of the COVID-19 patients that died on April 17 are 52, 63 and 67.

Let’s analyse what the Lagos COVID-19 data say.

“The deceased are 2 males and 1 female aged 52, 63 and 67.”

Although the text did not use the word “respectively,” looking at the arrangement, one could deduce that the two males were 52, 63.

Abba Kyari is a male, and died at 67. He doesn’t fit into the description of males that died on April 17 in Lagos.

Now, let’s assume the text mixed up the ages, and did not follow the pattern ‘two males, and one female’, and that we cannot deduce which age belongs to which.

The NCDC said the two males that died on April 17 had no travel history. But Abba Kyari had a well-documented travel history. So, he doesn’t fit in that description using travel history. NCDC said, “The 2 males had no travel history or record of contact with any infected person.”

So, this doesn’t seem to be in line with the fact that Kyari contracted the coronavirus while on an official trip to Germany and Egypt.
Okay, let’s assume the late Chief of Staff died very late on April 17, say 11:55 pm and could not be captured in the April 17 data before it was published.

Lagos recorded 1 death, bringing total number ofrelated deaths in Lagos to 14.

The deceased is a female, aged 83 with underlying health issues.

Let’s observeandto stop the transmission ofinfection

— Prof. Akin Abayomi (@ProfAkinAbayomi)

However, according to Lagos State Commissioner of Health, the next person that died of COVID-19 in Lagos was a female, aged 83. Abba Kyari still does not fit in the description because he is a male and 67 years old.

Or, perhaps the case of his death was recorded earlier or maybe in another state or not even captured at all.

Politics / Re: BREAKING: ALEX OTTI DECLARED GOVERNOR OF ABIA STATE by sammiy: 11:02am On Jul 05, 2016
Darlo22:
Hmmmmmmm! What a relief that headline will bring to some people. Some will dare justice would have been served should that ever come to pass. Come to think of it with the current debacle in Abia state and also considering the Electoral Act 2010 as amended which expunged the Amaechi vs Omehia scenario and affirmed a candidate cannot be said to have won an election unless he or she participated in all stages of election don't you think there is hope for Dr. Alex Otti?
Note the Act said candidate and not party. So if either Uche Ogah or Mr Nwosu is sworn in Alex Otti may have a chance since neither of them participated in stages of the election.
The Kogi state governorship comes to mind sInce the current governor Yahaya Bello did not participate in all stages of the election but we should note that case is still in court.
APGA as a party is already toeing this line. See statement from APGA:
Declare Alex Otti gov —APGA In another development, the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Abia State chapter, has faulted the judgment of the Federal High Court which ordered that Ogah be sworn in as the state governor.
A statement signed by APGA state chairman, Augustine Ehiemere, decried the judgment as untenable as the Electoral Act 2010, as amended, forbade any person who did not take part in all stages of the election to be sworn in and insisted that its governorship candidate in the 2015 election, Dr. Alex Otti, remained the lawful candidate who ought to be declared governor. “APGA considers Uche Ogah’s declaration as a huge error, unacceptable to the party, untenable in Nigeria’s 2010 Electoral Act as amended, which forbids any person that did not take part in all the stages of an election from being declared winner.
Since there is no record anywhere to show that Dr. Uche Ogah won the primaries of his party, the PDP, let alone take part in all the stages of the last governorship election in Abia, his declaration as the governor by the court is strange and alien to the law. “Hence, we humbly demand that the appellate court, while upholding Ikpeazu guilty verdict, corrects this huge error by issuing the right order which is to declare the candidate who scored the highest lawful votes, the APGA candidate, Dr. Alex Otti, governor, as he did not only meet all the constitutional requirements and vote spread across the state, but even won more local governments than the sacked Okezie Ikpeazu; this is an incontrovertible fact.”
. This your topic is quite sick you know. The root cause of this ur action could be some low-self esteem stuff. Haba....u feel this is the best way to draw crowd to see your post??
