Honestly been a senator has become a lucrative job especially in Nigeria today. As senators cash out 14.25 million Naira per month, 171 million Naira Annually. While graduate with PHD, BSC, Master degree holders cash out less than 50k per month. To make the matter worst, most of our senators didn't make it to the university. How many of them are well educated or graduate

If we carefully calculate the total sum the entire senate cash out annually, we wil be amazed. The senate is made up of 109 Senators, so times 171,000,000X109= 18,639,000,000 Annually. Remember, this figure is for Senators only. We didn't add House of Reps Members, if we now add Executive Arm to the list, your fuse will cut.

The bottom line is the cost of governance in Nigeria is expensive and detrimental to the Nation. In reality, the cost of governance in Nigeria is Parasitic and drastic measures has to be set in place to address this issue.

So all those people submitting resolutions for constitutional review should table this one too,
Instead of clamouring for Saharia to be introduced to the south west. Nigeria is bedridden with so many issues( insecurity, Corruption, poverty etc) Sharia is the least of them.

I know a 2 professors in Lautech earning more than 600k.

I concur with these.

I didn't know how much these lectures are collecting until a close friend of mine became a lecturer.

Apart from their fat salaries.
1. They make little or no research from scratch. (All they know is to edit and add little grammar to their publications)

2. They receive millions and billions of naira from FG and tetfund but the projects or equipments won't be bought and executed till the NUC are coming for accreditation or to check somethings in school

3. You need to know how much these VCs are earning and chopping
I mean the money they control

4. We have many sadist lectures in the Federal Universities these days.

5. Some of these lecturers dey teaching for another university or polytechnic or College of Edu (Either private, state or federal) thereby not creating employment opportunities for another people (They just want to chop all alone). Ain't talking about Visiting lectures.

6. FG really needs to invest heavily in Education.

Imagine a company looking for 23 yr old fresh graduate with 3 to 4 yrs experience.

In addition, southern governors should immediately legalize the ban by passing an anti-open grazing law in all the states. A mere proclamation is not law and can’t be enforced. They should do the needful immediately.

Once the law is in place, we can start the enforcement. If Garba Shehu, Malami or even Buhari are not happy with the law, they should challenge it in court.
