You have to tell them where they are from. I have seen many from Benin answering Yoruba names, moreover same title of a king, near language similarities, culturally same.. politically same.

In nairaland truth is an anathena anyways.

It is even hard to spot or differentiate a Yoruba man from an Edo man. This shows how interwoven they are.
If you go to cultural section...
We've have argued about this several times...

Give them evidences but they refused saying Yorubas came from Benin without evidence(s)..

Abeq, leave them..

Land grabbers, they've left their land that taken from them in kwara and colonized by the fulani Emirate. Instead they are seeking to expand terrority eastward. Thieves!
Out of the 16 local governments on kwara state.

Simple truth is this.... Edos are Yorubas like Itshekiri...that's pure fact.

They should stop denying that with their weak claim of Benin empire.
Well, it's actually their problem..
If they deny their roots..

We ain't forcing them...

How does one become a mod anyways?

Are mods paid for being mods?

Where do all deleted threads and deactivated mimickers go?

Who knows should please enlighten us?

Cc: farano, rocktation, lalasticlala, mynd44, don't ban me pls. I am trying to liven the weekend here.

VOTE FUNMISTICQUEEN FOR MOD!!!

Na play I play o!!
For the bolded.
1. One can become a mod if there is need to be.
Seun will publicly post it and ask you to nominate someone..

2. Yes, mods are being paid..
But it varies..
Supermods earn higher than other mods..
And I know that other mods earn higher than those (inactive/low viewers sections) mods

3. There is a Section created by Seun where all Deleted threads are being moved too.
Only the mods and Seun can see it.

There must be something attached to it being sweet. I just opened a thread about Yoruba music being sweet on hip hop. I beleive there are reasons for all.
Lol, truth is as a non Igbo .
If I listen to a whole complete Igbo songs without Adding English to it
It sounds irritating and not pleasing..

But if you Sing English songs and add Igbos to it.. (e.g chindima songs)
It sounds pleasing to hear..

Igbo language isn't easy to comprehend.
All my stay in Igbo land, I only understand it I can't speak it. Else I'll bite my tongue..

But Yoruba language is easy to understand..

I've never seen your complete Igbo music b4 sha, without adding English to it..

So, I think it deals more about language tone, etc.

Why I agreed that it's pleasing to hear?

I agreed that Igbo language is pleasing to hear in gospel..

But your point saying that "Is it a mark of excellence that follows the Igbos or a mark that they worship God greatly?"

Is totally off point.

Actually, to me.

I noticed that Igbo language is pleasing to hear, when listening to their English gospel music + few Igbo language..

Yoruba language is pleasing to hear in Hip Hop

While Hausa language is pleasing to hear when fucking them. Una go hear (wayo Allah grin)

Lol relax bro, reason with me. The Igbo, hausa fulani and the Yoruba are really big group's, who Excel in what they do, now putting minorities in regions with them isn't good as they will not even be able to compete with them, even in nature there's what we call natural selection or survival of the fittest, so you need to place the minorities where they will be able to compete and have a sense of belonging, it's not dislike or hate, u get me now? It's like when three cheetahs want to race, u bring dog, wolf, jaguar etc to come and race with them, e no pure.
You're making sense...
And moreover
It's highly possible the minorities languages/cultures to go into extinction..

Judging by the map..
River Niger has divided the region..
Rivers, cross river & Akwaibom should go to SE...
While, delta, Bayelsa, & Edo.. Should go to SW..

AntiChristian:
I love this part most

There are different types of Muslims' schools, we have Muslim proprietors' schools, the schools are owned by Muslims but they have no provision for Islaamic programmes and admits all and sundry.

Secondly, we have Islaamic schools, these are equally owned by Muslims that allow Islaamic ethics and etiquettes to have a place in their schools, but the Islaamic activities are used as dragnet to woo Muslim parents to their schools while the real motive of the proprietors are profit making, economic survival instincts and self actualisation. All the interests are purely personal.

The third category are ideological Islaamic schools, these are schools owned and established with the sole aim of Islaam advancement. The schools are daawah centres, ideological base, Masaajid for reorientation, reformation and nurturing of Muslim children's soul. It can be compared to welfare home where deviant and delinquent children could be remoulded, guided and reformed.

It is not in Islam for us to prostrate in greeting to anyone!
Egbon, you're saying rubbish...

Do you now suggest we shouldn't have kings that are Yoruba.

Culture is entirely different from religion

How could a Muslim school allowed the removal of hijab from her female students all in the name of culture? How could there be intermingling, dancing and drinking of palm wine ? What is cultural in gourd filled with palm wine for under age pupils and students? What is cultural in dancing to Naira Marley's lyrics and beats?

May Allah help and guide us to His path, Ameen.
Baba, I disagree with you....

Why then do we have Yoruba Oba's??

Sir, since the day Adam was thrown out of the Garden of Eden, man has needed to be careful. Because things have gotten competitive. No more free lunches.

Business is normally about knowing a little something that the other person doesn't know. So, to balance it out, you carry along with you someone who knows some stuff.

That's a good strategy on your part to balance things out.
Agreed
