Well U have a point but what I was trying to say earlier was that I felt it was routine for the embassy to stamp ur passport and write the visa type on it just to confirm u have applied for visa and have been interviewed. Even after the interview and stamping of the passport, they might still not process the person's visa until the person pays the 8000euros into the account. Just an opinion sha. I'm sure the embassy knows what they are doing.

Are you sure the german embassy didn't put your application ON HOLD? The embassy collected the documents of a guy I once met at the embassy, but the application would not be processed until he paid the money into his blocked account. In my opinion, that was why the woman didn't stamp your passport.

I was interviewed on 9th september without blocked account being ready, I only submitted the confirmation slip the embassy gave me when I went to open the Blocked account on 2nd september but My passport was stamped and written D on it and they also withheld my originals. Could it be possible that the VO forgot to stamp Aroyem4u's passport?
I just received mail from Deutsche Bank containing my account details now now while I was typing this post. That is less than 2weeks from 2nd september (11 days) when I went to the embassy for the Blocked account opening.

aflynvir: thank God, lucky you! Just the questions posted in this thread, that's what you should use to prepare, arrange you things according to checklist, original separate and one set of photocopies on one side, the other photocopies on the other side. I wish you the best!

Thanks man! Na God oo! I bin think say dem go tell me the same thin sef. I bin dey hesitate to mail the embassy after Bob told me his experience but I eventually summoned courage and mailed them on thursday morning and on friday morning, they booked me for 9/9/2013. I thank God sha.

Mail the University and find out the info you are looking for or even better, browse the University website well, I'm sure you will find answers. Uni-freiburg does not use Uni-assist sha.

However, It seem no University's admission is currently open and want to know what form can I print out to show proof at this stage.
Is the form from Daad.de acceptable or can you suggest where I can download one for this purpose?

If its your bachelor's degree that you want to certify, the university you graduated from can do that for you. I applied for masters via Uni-assist and they accepted my university certification. So I don't think it's a must to certify at the embassy. Of all the documents I submitted to Uni-assist, My Bachelor's degree result was the only certified document.

Please be advised that the Consulate General can only certify your signature for the necessary opening of a blocked account if you already have the admission letter of the university (a pdf printout is sufficient), as a copy of the admission letter has to be forwarded to the bank with the application form and your passport copy.

As soon as you have submitted your application for the opening of a blocked account, you will receive a confirmation letter from the Consulate with which you can apply for your student visa.

I booked 26th August but if I don't hear from both universities by 16th or 17th August, I will cancel the appointment and Try and Reschedule.

easyemman: So frustrating blood. I applied 2 schools(Jena n Marburg), Jena says in 2weeks time and Marburg says mid Aug. I have re-scheduled my appointment date from 5th Aug.-4th Sept. I don start another application process and if nothing till end of august will start sending for summer semester.no time.

What course did u apply for in Marburg? I also applied there (Linguistics and Web Technology) and I called them yesterday and the guy that picked said by 15th August like u said.

I don't think the VO would question your intention but you have to find out from the University's website or you contact them about when the university you applied to is closing enrollment/registration and when they are beginning lectures. From my gatherings from most German Universities' websites, I noticed most of them start Lectures on 14th October so if you book 13th,+3weeks it takes embassy to decide on visa application, that should land you somewhere around 4th October, so it still makes your intentions genuine so long as you can prove it to them if they ask you in the interview. #Just my opinion

Abi oo.. E go better. Why I said at least a week is because the embassy said in a mail they sent to me that one can use the confirmation mail you will receive when you submit the application for blocked account to apply for a study visa. All the same sha, I am praying I receive all admission letters in this month of July.

Bro, I'm still waiting for mine too oo..though there seem to be little progress in the Freie Universitat Berlin school. I checked my admission status in their online Applicant portal and they updated it last week Friday and said they have processed my application and it will be considered as part of the admission process. So I'm hopeful they will notify me soon because in their website, they said all masters applicants should expect notices (Admissions or Rejection) this July. The other school (Marburg) I applied to said they will notify me of my admission result as soon as Uni-assist processes my documents. Uni-assist has processed my application and sent my data to the School last week Thursday, so I'm expecting their notification soon. I don tire to wait mehn!!! I just Pray I get either of the admissions at least a week before the day I booked (26th August) at the embassy.

Please did anybody apply to Freie Universitat Berlin Masters Program?? If yes, Please what course and have you been issued admission or rejection notices?? I applied there too.
