If Uni-assist has evaluated your first application and sent it to the university you first applied to, does it still take long for them to evaluate a second application you sent much later to another University since they have evaluated your Degree certificate and others before? Another question is, Please do you know any stuff about Philipps University of Marburg? I recently applied for Masters there while I was waiting for my admission in the Berlin University. I dey wait for reply Boss. Anybody that have info about my questions, please and please don't hesitate to share.

also when i was at the abuja embassy, they certified my application form and passport copy without certifying the adm letter though they collected a copy of the admsn letter

Yeah you can use the pdf printout admission letter to apply for visa. But can one book appointment to submit visa application in Abuja? Is it only in Lagos that one can submit?

Guys, the embassy has replied me regarding the right document to use in opening the blocked account. This is the mail they sent:

Dear Sir,

thank you for your email.

Please be advised that the Consulate General can only certify your signature for the necessary opening of a blocked account if you already have the admission letter of the university (a pdf printout is sufficient), as a copy of the admission letter has to be forwarded to the bank with the application form and your passport copy.

As soon as you have submitted your application for the opening of a blocked account, you will receive a confirmation letter from the Consulate with which you can apply for your student visa.

I trust you find this information helpful. Attached please also find the checklist with further information concerning the opening of a blocked account.

with Deutsche Bank
In order to open a blocked account with Deutsche Bank, you need to send an
application to the bank in Germany. Your signature on the application form
needs to be certified. The certification of signature can be done free of charge at
the Consulate General in Lagos or at the Embassy in Abuja during normal
business hours.
Please bring along:
1. filled application form for a blocked account
2. international passport and 2 copies of the data page
3. admission letter of the German university and 2 copies thereof
You will have to sign the application form in presence of a Consular officer in
order to have your signature certified.
All forms and more information can be obtained from the homepage of the
Deutsche Bank:
https://www.deutsche-bank.de/pbc/pk-studium-international_students_en.html
Please note that it can take up to three weeks after the certification until the
bank account will be opened.

johnck: Using a confirmation letter to apply for german student visa is called a STUDENT APPLICANT VISA, it's a 3 month visa that can be used to enter Germany when you get ur admission...But I DON'T think such option is available in Nigera.

More so, In many other countries, you can open a german blocked account with a confirmation letter only. However, I don't know if such option is available in the German Embassy in Nigeria

Yeah that's true but if these options are not available in the German embassy in Nigeria, why then did the embassy include the study applicant visa option in the PDF file containing the information on how to apply for long term student visa? I really don't understand. I hope they will explain to me better when they reply the mail I sent to them today.

Ok. I got that one too. Just chill they will send you another letter and that will be confirmation that they have forwarded your application data to the university. That's the letter that contains the info of using it to apply for study applicant visa.

It wasn't stated on my letter from uni assist that I can use the letter to apply for visa o,but they informed me in the letter that they will send my application to the school.is uni assist going to send me anoda letter which it would be stated that I can use to apply for visa or is it until I send them the top priority form that they will send it?

Rihannaola: Ofcourse you can.. Just have €20 with you (or N4500) to the consulate for opening. Have evidence of application to the school so to determine location of DB branch account opening, and your passport.

Seriously?? That's good oo but topeajis and Godson said I can't open it without admission letter. I have Uni-assist evaluation and confirmation letter that my application is complete and my data has been sent to the University I applied to. They also said I can use this letter to apply for study visa in Nigeria. So I was wondering that if the embassy will allow me to use this document to apply for study visa, why can't I use it to open blocked account. It's weird that I can't. Thanks Rihannaola for the info. I will contact the embassy right now regarding the issue because there's no time on my side anymore. I'm still expecting the admission letter sha.

dmitroika: I did mine yesterday night, and even before then i wrote to the embassy concerning the issue. The trick is this, they open appointments for a new day by 11pm, so try and be online by that time. just have their page open on standby and keep refreshing the page. the competion to book an appointment is fierce but if you do it like i said, you'd come back here to thank me.

What date did you book? in July or in August? Do they still open appointments for July?

Please I know this is not the proper place to ask this question but my friend is really in need of help and don't know any where to get help. My friend applied for student visa recently and he missed his interview with the Belgium embassy slated for Thursday 20th June, Please does or can the embassy reschedule another interview for my friend? is there anything that can be done? Please help!!! If it was German embassy, would there be a second chance? He missed it because he went to his village that period and no internet access in his village.

Godson201333: That is why it is always better to use someone address in Germany to receive your letters even some schools do advise to use this pattern because it take 2-3 weeks for deutsche post to deliver letters to naija while one or 2 days within Germany.

If you have Uni-assist confirmation letter, you can you use it to apply for a blocked account. That's what i'm using to apply for my own blocked account.
