Hi beautiful people, I came across EB2 NIW recently on social media. I have read through the tread from pages 1-37, all I can say is kudos to everyone for their contribution.

I have got few questions please,

1, Has any Chartered Accountant on this tread applied or does anyone know of an Accountant that has gotten I-140 approval?

2, I have an MBA from UK, Bsc Economics from Nigeria, Fellow of ICAN & Member of Chartered institute of taxation of Nigeria (CITN) with over 10years industry experience in financial and management accounting and reporting.

I am just curious to know if this profile can fly for EB2 NIW?

3, I would appreciate if anyone can give an idea of sample or Template for Recommendation letter.

Based on experience, priority doesn't really worth it these days. I did priority and got my visa within 5 days, I know of someone who did standard about the same time I did mine and got her visa in 5 days as well.

My dependants did their biometrics the same day you did yours, May 10 (STANDARD) and the visa is out . Yours will come out soon as well, also note that there was 2 days public holiday in between.
So, relax, your Visa mail will drop soon. I'm coming to share my Visa story soon.

I did my biometric since 10th of May and I paid for priority but I haven't gotten my any mail from them till now. Please someone should advise what might cause the delay

You don't need the soft copy, your TB certificate will be issued to you within few hours and that is what you'll use for your application

I'm not sure IOM has office in VI, I only know of Ikeja and Abuja.

When I booked, the VI option didn't show up so I chose Ikeja. Can I still show up to VI and have the test done?

Sure you can, you'll let them know you made mistake while booking the appointment, you'll still have to fill all the details again and also crosschecked before the test is done.
I made mistake on one of my children date of birth and visa category while booking the appointed, I told them when I got there and everything was corrected at no cost.

Pls is dependants IHS amount usually lower than main applicants amount? Just asking out of curiosity. We used my course start and end dates but the amount is lower than what I paid for my own application. Hope I've not messed up.

I think the best thing to do is to get to Lagos a day before your appointment. Google for cheap hotels around Mainland in Lagos to stay for the night.

House, please help o, I just noticed there is a mistake in one of my son's application after I have submitted, The gender is MALE but I just discovered that I put FEMALE. I dont know I did it, I checked severally with hubby before submission but didnt see it until I downloaded the application now.
How can I correct this please? Can I attach an explanation letter to correct it? Please help a sister.

I'm sure @justwise will remember my case and few other people, I applied sometimes in February with priority one day about 1k pounds, I was invited for an interview but they claimed they called but the call never got to me but I prompted them I didn't get a call on that which stands has an evidence for me but following day I was denied they said I didn't pick my call when they called! I was devastated I was so sad and worried but I kept my faith on, applied for administrative review via a lawyer in the uk which cost me about 300£ With all the evidence I could get from the network and police and Interpol self, 70 days plus nothing from them, but during the time I was in touch with school and taking classes and doing tests and assignments from school infact I was involved with student Union matter online to the extent I became a representative for student, school was willing to issue me a new CAS after the long wait I requested for a new cas and I was issued a week after, I applied again

Biometric: 29 April
No Decision email
Docs ready for pick: May 6
Picked up today with my Visa intact
Ikeja(priority)

After 3 uk visa denial I eventually got it

We declared all refusal and stated the reasons.

This is just to clear the issue of not getting closer/nearer date on IOM website. I was at their office recently and was able to ask one of their doctors while getting dates is always an headache, her response was that people always misinterpret them, she said dates are only open on monthly basis. For instance, June date is open now, by June, they'll open July and like that. Not that the calendar for the year or quarter is open at once.
Let's take note pls.

I advise you to go look for admission in cities like Manchester and Birmingham. You will also get the advantage that London has. There are job opportunities there. In addition, it is very cheap. You can see a 2 bedroom apartment for 500 to 600 pounds per month.

Inside central London, 2 bedroom house goes between 2000 to 3000 pounds per month.

South east London, like Peckham, Feltham and Hounslow (which are cheapest place in London), you can get between 1300 to 1600 pounds per month.

2 bedroom is minimum housing that is allowed for 4 tenants. You cant rent one bedroom house as it is illegal and no legit landlord will rent.

When if you live boundary of London, your 2 bedroom rent will be 1000 to 1300 pounds per month. Since you will transport, yourself to London, you are better of living in South East London.

LIVING IN LONDON ON BUDGET IS ONLY ADVISABLE FOR SINGLE STUDENT WHO CAN LIVE IN SHARED ROOM WITH 4 OR MORE PEOPLE. YOUR RENT CAN RANGE FROM 400 TO 600 DEPENDING ON THE LONDON AREA.

IF YOU ARE A FAMILY ON A BUDGET, STAY AWAY FROM LONDON. LIVE IN MANCHESTER OR BIRMINGHAM. WHEN YOU GET GOOD JOB IN LONDON AFTER YOUR STUDIES, YOU CAN TRAVEL TO LONDON AND LIVE THERE.

IF YOU ARE NOT ON BUDGET AND HAVE THE MONEY, THEN LONDON IS OKAY.

We would be travelling together eventually. I got my Visa couple of weeks ago.

It’s a normal thing. You can apply for visa along side with your dependants or apply for them after you have gotten your own visa either before you travel or while you are there. It’s all normal and okay

I'm in the same shoe, my school is in London and with 3 teenage children. I would not mind if I get accommodation close to London to beat down the rent.

You can call or check the dates. It could also be network. I just made my booking two days ago for May. All days in June have been booked.
