@Ath thnks alot for all the advice my brother. am using an indian inverter kevin. discharge is is very minimal. i always monitor that. the bls any idea on the cost. again thnks for sharing from your experience it as helped alot.

just an update . thnks to u guys generally. i have replaced the faulty battery on sunday. and i am still cruising at 100% soc by 9.15pm. with 2 tvs on and a fan. maybe battery still dey vex becos hin new....

its her. space. whatever she trying to prevent its surely working.

first i want to thank the gurus in house that took time to assist. it took me about a week to effect what most of you suggested. ..

you guys suggested cleaning my panels again. my panels were baked with dust my area the streets are untarred. i cleaned the entire 12 panels. i saw an improvement in harvest 2.8kw/day.

you were right about my overnight consumption being low. i stop using that system by 7 pm and switch to another system.. determined to carry out what you suggested . i pushed my system till 11pm . my batteries were crying red soc was 5%. i downed my system at 11pm. experiment don end for that day. dont want to lose batteries d
during recession. although fear don dey grip me.

with the sparkling panels and partial night consumption of my batteries to drained level . to truth must come out about the panels.
my panels start working around 7am by 11am battery full..
@ Ath your suggestion about my battery state comes here. my system 12v (200ahx 4).
measured the batteries indivdually was getting 15 and 14.8v. at about noon. loaded the system with all the arsenal in my house. washing machine, fridge,2 tvs, 4 ceiling fans, pumping machine. being it was a bit cloudy i was exiting float charge regularly. but still detrmine to find out my panel strenght i occasinally added the microwave that completely placed me in under voltage. experiment don finish. so left the usual appliance fridge and tv and pumped water again. by 7pm. moment of reckon checked my harvest .. from 1.7kwhr/day to 7.5kwhr/day. i wwas a estatic my panels brought this out. i don dey fear say my panels and connection bad. with this happy thought i now faced the inevitable which i already know the answer. i measured my batteries.... battery 1and 2 passmark 12.4v, 12.5v the bad egg na battery 3 (10.5v). for recession my guy i wan slap battery. the battery sef warm on touch. thnks a bunch to you guys i know the part of my system that needs fixing. solar for life.......

thats why i dey here. if i can get someone to check out the system. help needed..

Something is wrong somewhere! I have 255wX6 panels connected to the same type of your CC and i generated 5kWh/day today. What is the usual voltage reading of your system in the morning? Is it possible that your daily or overnight power consumption is low hence the low yield to replace?
Another possibility is a loose connection somewhere. Do a thourough system inspection pls.

thanks for your observation. my 48v 200ah batteries do not take me to next morning. so by 9 pm i switch to my smaller system. the main issue with the harvest might be the installation. the installer was a bit confused when i upgraded on panels gradually. from my helpful gurus inhouse i tried explainning 3x4 arrangement. was very adamant wanted to parallel the panels. finally i insisted b4 he obliged. then honestly he confessed never installing an mppt charge controller. well charge controller brngs about 115 volts and on a sunny day when i apply load i get 2400watts from pv. never passed 5kwh/day threshold..

Try and wash your panels regularly. There will be a dramatic change. It is always better to stay within wattage rattings for your Cc but you can add a couple of panels as an interim measure but remember: the new panels too will get dirty and yield will drop over time!

i washed them about 3weeks ago. think i will wash them again like you suggested.

Please what is your average daily power production in this weather?

chairman its been miserable. but as of today 1.7kwh/day was generated. i still pump water and use my fridge. on a good wheather day highest from the system is 4.5kwh/day.

compliments solar gurus and the ogas at the top. this harmattan wheather is really affecting solar harvest. none the less we must forge on to overcome this obstacle..

i use an epsolar itracer series 60a charge controller to charge my 48v 200ah batteries.my solar array is 12* 250 watts 3000watts total. according to epsolar charge manual pv input max is at 3200watts. can i keep adding more panels over this 3200 watts just to beat the bad wheather effect on solar harvest..is it of any benefit. guys pls advice
