You should let him get used to being chained. Walk him around regular with the chain. He will understand. You are dealing with a rott. U must train and set boundaries. Or your dog go train you.

My problem with Nigerian vets is that, they don't have the resources to conduct tests in dogs. When you notice some symptoms on your dog on you take it to the vet, they will not draw it's blood and conduct a test to know what is really the problem, they will just look at it and say this is what is wrong, that is what is wrong, in the end of the day, after spending all that money administering the wrong medication, the dog will just end up dying so all that money spent becomes for nothing.

That is wrong. If you want contact of real vet say so. All the test you want , when an average Nigerian sees the bill they go run. How many Nigerians can send their dogs for check up every 2 _3 months and pay 70k.

Na mouth Nigerians get. It's unfortunate about your dog . Every one has lost a dog at a point.
It is you that should be more vigilant about your dog .

Well, everything is wrong with Nigeria. Not just police. I hate it when security men are singled out but when someone called for protest, people didn't come out and took it seriously. How do u guys really want us to have a better society if we don't take care of the political system.

Security men are singled out because they inflict bodily harm on defenseless poor citizens. They are nigerians and collecting salary. I say it again greed.the poor trader was killed because of greed.
The political class kill the common man indirectly while the security do the finishing.

If u are asked to stop, stop and obey police and stop. It is a crime to run away from security officers anywhere in the world. Nigerians don't try to run when they are outside the country. I have been stopped four good times, I stopped, and complied becus I had nothing hiding.

Those policemen in that area are a disgrace. I knew something like this will happen one day . They are not supposed to be on that road. But you see them morning and night begging for money. They are not even the local police, they are high way police. For the past one month they have opened office in front of the palace . They are like vultures you buy bread for your family, oga come give me bread chop .

Which of these two is more rugged and easy to manage.in Nigerian terms (dey last).

Scenario 2
Battery bank volt selection.(24v or 48v)
Which is easier to manage and rugged.(dey last)


I know banks mostly go for 2volts batteries to build their battery banks . Installers pls contribute why most houses opt for 12v batteries.

I started my solar journey with 2v 500 ah batteries.no solar panels . (12v 500 ah). Making a total of 6 batteries. I no go lie being the first time using inverter . having light is to sweet , until I hear the inverter screaming and begging to be shut down before I go off. This abuse lasted for almost 3yrs. Before I moved on to using 12v200ah battery(48v) system.
we are all learning and sharing our experiences
I am currently on( 24v )system..
Pls house , installers contribute thanks in advance .

I am currently using only coconut oil now. I have also stopped the izal and palmoil .

I use it every day a small quantity in half a bucket of water. Then bathe him with it I also use it to clean my dogs living area.

bro mange is caused by mites and I suspect the reason why the mange is recurring is because they are already everywhere the dog stays in your house.
even if it clears they'll still come back until you kill them all finally.
use that amitraz to mop everywhere your dog usually stays to avoid it coming back.
remember to chain the dog somewhere while you do this so he won't be tempted to lick the chemical.
I've had this same problem with one of my previous dogs, the dog was an inside dog that had a very stubborn mange problem that didn't go no matter how I tried.
the only way I stopped it was to wash place the dog stays(both my clothes and bedsheets) and mop the whole house with amitraz.
after that the tick, fleas and mange problems stopped

Thanks for all the advice . Will continue after the weekend. Make the dog chop small. That stuff is strong. He loses his voice when I bathe him with it cannot bark for 5 minutes. Will continue boss. Thanks really appreciate.

also mix small amitraz with water and clean where you dog sleeps, but don't let the dog in until it has dried to avoid ingestion

I would love to. But I have to monitor the feeding pattern of my dog. He was not eating much before . But now his appetite is back .

I was told the white hair were the dead hair well I have decided to continue with palmoil and izal. My pet shop advice me to continue with that.
Also I have seen alot of videos online using just coconut oil.

Just an update. After a week plus the amitraz is finished so also the spray. It has dried up. So mostly scales and white hair keeps falling off

All the vet will always give injection. But with what is on this dog. Your personal time must be given no vet will do that for u.

actually, mange is caused by mites which means it's external.
it can be eradicated through chemicals to kill the mites or injections to make the dog's body not to be compatible with the mites.
I use amitraz to bathe my dog every week and he rarely has mange, the few times he does, once I bathe him it'll clear within 2 days

Thanks for all the advice. I have been using the amitraz and spray for three days now. It is drying up some of the mange appears crusty whlie some appears bloody. It's just my dog Sabi para for the spray..

my rott seems to be having a regular re occuring bout of mange .
I got him when he was 3 months all covered in it.with patches of hair missing and very lean . the vet came over gave him the necessary shots, after about a month the hair grew back and he gained weight.

now it seems it's back. what can I do to stop this menace called mange forever..
