Lordofthewest: That's how they go to ghana to sell indomie and egg, using their own to inconvenience the ghanians that should be selling indomie and egg.. I wonder if na by force to travel out. my brother what u just wrote shows u don't travel. most nigerians that go to other countries even Ghana u quote. always look for where Nigerians are because in most cases u cannot eat the local food in the country. when they give u corn as eba and stew without pepper for soup.nobody will tell u to find a Nigerian joint.. abeg even in England different country men come together and sell food to themselves.... |

I make this plee towards governor ambode to save us from Lagos island local govt and cda. the are killing inhabitants within their locality . the drainages that were constructed within Lagos island is so poor it easily gets blocked. to make matters worse the drainages or gutters we're covered or sealed. not making any one have access to clear. this is where we are shouting. the local govt was approached because the drainage water are moving from the gutters into peoples houses and compounds. instead of finding a solution they go around with notice of violation saying peoples environment is dirty and blocked drains. we are constantly taxed for this Same issue blocked drains. we eventually settle and they go away.. one thing I must say the previous gutter or colonial gutters never used to get blocked besides it was opened people have easy access to clean it by themselves.
matter never finish. the shameless local govt workers now go around joining 3 houses together and demanding N60,000 before the will come and open the gutter in front of your house.
we are drowning in drainage water... help governor ambode.

nonoski: Yes same Must Power 5kva. Rugged piece of equipment, neva found wanting for any reason.
My load has remained constant coz my house is wired with 2 separate Distribution Boards: TP&N for heavy loads; SPN for lights, Tv and specific sockets. So my load has been constant. The reason i am asking the must inverter what's the max charging current.is it adequate for such a large bank. Because u have hinted about the bad weather in ph to solar. |

nonoski: My solar journey so far. ( All connections were done by my humble self with good amount of knowledge gotten from this forum. )
Earlier this year I decided to add solar component to my inverter of 4 x 200A battery (48v 200A – 9600W). So I connected 12 units of 250w solar panel (3kw) with 80a Flex Max Outback CC. I later increased my battery Bank from 4 x 200A To 8 x 200A bank (48v 400A) in April this year.
Mistake Nr 1: When I was still using 4 batteries I noticed 1 of the batteries reading below 11v, so I changed that single battery and added the new battery into the bank. (March this year)
Mistake Nr 2: I bought 4 extra batteries in April to increase the capacity, thereby mixing 4 + 1 = 5 new batteries with 3 old batteries Totaling 8 batteries.
I later increased the Solar component to 18 units of 250w panels (4.5kw) thereby maxing out the CC capacity of 4kw for 48v setup.
In November this year I noticed that the batteries drained to quickly, although the inverter had neva beeped, I decided to check the batteries in the morning and noticed the older batteries were around 10.8v – 11.2v.
Having learnt my lesson I quietly bought 12 new SMF batteries (6 Genus 6 Bluegate batteries) this December (48 x 600A), I also decided to buy battery indicators to know the voltages of the batteries at all times.
I have also increased my solar component to 24nr 250w solar (6kw) 18nr 250w panels (4.5kw) are connected to one Flexmax 80A Outback CC, the other 6nr 250w connected to the second Flexmax 80A Outback CC.
So basically I have a 6kw Solar panel array with 48v 600A battery bank; 2nr Flexmax 80A CC; 3nr 48v battery equalizer; 12nr battery indicators; 5kva Must Power Inverter.
Observations coming in the next post…
Pix 1: Solar Panel array Pix 2 battery connection with equalizer and indicator Pix 3: mounting if the CCs Pix 4: Final installation impressive congrats. you no wan carry last for solar panel academy. see panels. my question you upgraded batteries from 48v 200 ah to 48v 600ah and added more panels and charge controller. what about your inverter is it the same charging your new battery bank or you upgraded or added external charging. |

harmattan is gradually creeping on us in Lagos. harvest is affected. one has to be careful of their discharge rate. woke up by 3 am this morning my charge controller was indicating red. panic mode1 activated. what could have discharged my batteries to 48v this early. . offed the system, fault detection mode2. activated . searching for fault, checked all inverter equipment passed.. room by room surveillance activated and scanning of gadgets. using my ninjastic and analytic skills acquired from my grandmasters on this forum, I knew I would get the culprit ,its a matter of time. one room left to scan on the ground level, as I used my crunching tiger crawling method to move closer to the room my senses indicated a presence nearby. all censors indicated that this presence was responsible for the heavy discharge of my 48v system. . battle mode activated 5. has I was about opening the door to the room, my censors could not pick and signals anymore. but my inner ninjastic skills new the presence was there. swinging the door open all lights and gadgets were switched off. moving closer to the TV noticed it was warm and still glowed in the dark. I knew I had cornered the culprit. with one last visual scan of the parameters the culprit or presence were hiding behind the couch. I shouted you!...
it turned out to be, my kids were watching TV from last night till this morning. this holiday period I go advice everybody here be vigilant kids they have no mercy for inverter installations. .cheers! |
