That's true. I just checked the March Bulletin is not yet out! So how, where did Kevwe get his from?

Kevwe is correct, the VB is out.Every months member of immigration.com forum usually call KCC from 6th of every month until the current number is given out.I believe if you are a member of that forum you will get the visa bullentin before it is announced officially.
TravelRe: DV 2014 Winners Meet Here by samolaniyi: 3:27pm On Jan 09, 2014
My pple with high case number should relax and trust in God cos evry selectee will surely be interviewed. 7% is 3500 visa for nigeria out of 6050 winners and according to past data on visa processing,it is not evry body that will follow their case. Some are not even aware that they have been selected for further processing.while some may be denied for whatever reasons.

So you all need to relax and wait until your are current.Definitely not everyone that applied will get visa but we should pray that we should be among those that will receive the visa.Since this is the last dv lottery for Nigeria,i pray it favour us in Jesus name.

Hello my people,
Do not be prayerful only because you won a visa lottery, because you want afavour from God,thereafter, you leave serving God after your visa.Mke your stand from day 1 and eternity to continue serving God.The bible says, seek first the kingdom of God and his rigtheousness and every other things shall be added unto you.

I am admonishing you to give your life totally to christ with or without the visa and see what the lord will do for you.Remain blessed

rantileye: please what do you mean by AP?
AP is administration processing:This is period when the embassy placed the applicant on AP after the interview to carry out a back-ground checking on the applicant or selectee information and document submitted for visa processing.A visa applicant can only be placed on administration processing if the CO is not convinced with information and document the applicant submitted and if the CO also felt that there is inconstitences, negative facial expression, unnecessary anxiety, fraud, total different in picture used in entranct status to the applicant attending interview, played as single/married and appeared as married/sinle (but not in all cases),etc...

Their three cases of visa procedure:A visa can be issued, denied or placed on AP.

chibuzz89: Thanks so much for your reply...please do you have idea of the probability ratio of those granted visa after being under administrative processing......please anyone with information on this will be highly appreciated
Yes,its about 95% success rate. However, its heavily depends on your case.If all information giving to KCC is actual and correct to the best of your knowledge and well supported with valid document. The success rate is 100%,but it also depends on the timing.i.e if the AP does not last longer than 30th september.

chibuzz89: @somolaniyi...I tried checking the status of muy case with the link you pasted but it's showed wrong case number...and my case number is correct...what do you think of that?
make sure you do not put any 0 before the number.eg 2014AF7656.

chibuzz89: Hi everyone..am new here..i just found my way here when I tried getting some answers about administrative processing..am a young man who got married about a year ago..I played dv2014 for me and my girlfriend(now wife) same day and after our marriage it was success on my wife end..it was a perfect wedding gift for us..we did all the necessary things and had our interview on the 1st of Nov 2014..everything went well and was expecting to get a visa that day but was shocked when the CO gave us a white letter stating that we are under administrative processing for 60days..it was not the best of the year for us as we have had plans..but we can't question God..its been over 60days and I wrote them which I got a reply that it's still under AP..am confused..please has anyone had such case before..cos this is really affecting so many plans in my life right now..i'd be happy if I get a good response to this...god bless and happy new year all
I guess you were place on AP simply because your wife played as single before she won. Therefore, the embassy would want to confirm if the marraige after the dv lottery is genuine, and this will take 60 or more days.

however, you can check the AP status on this link:https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx
This link will tell you the position of your AP status.

bamideleniayo: pls can u explain more on the medical history u said will be asked; I thought medical history is asked from parents with children to reduce the cost of Vaccination.!
Since you are going with your wife only, you dont need a medical history document, except you have children that have vacination records. But the doctor will ask you and your wife about your medical history ie if youhave any ailment, diseases or sickness in the past.

Pipsland78: And what about someone who schooled in the UK, am I supposed to take the form to my sch in the UK?
it's not necessary you take the form to your school, you can request for your transcript to be sent to WES and giving them the adress to be sent to.I once requested for my transcript to be sent to the address i gave them without visiting the school phisically.
TravelRe: DV 2014 Winners Meet Here by samolaniyi: 8:49pm On Jan 02, 2014
praiseG: Good people. Please I need your clarification on the issue of transcript to Wes.though I've checked the site but still dnt get all.my question is that is it my school here that will send it to wes or what's my role there to play.also does this transcript sent to wes has validity period pending the time of any need for it.thank u all and pls respond
You are responsible to send your transcript to WES.You can do this by going to your school where you graduated and apply for transcript to be sent to WES.If you check there web site, you will find the adress where the transcript should be sent to.

Transcript does not have validity period and does not expired.Once it is sent WES,it can be sent to as many company, school and organisation as possible.

I hope this help.

My peep, pls let's leave the issue of creating a new thread for now in order not to create division among us,becasue i can see what is coming up ahead. While some are clamouring for new thread and some are against it,and these is causing an unhealthy atmosphere here.
Let forget about the bone of contention and burry the hachet. This is a special period o! AD2014.This is the time to rejoice, because God spare us to see 2014.

Let's visit the old thread for now and make something out it.I believe we can make it work and lively if we all contribute toward its growth. This is just my humble opinion.Shalom.HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE.
TravelRe: DV 2014 Winners Meet Here by samolaniyi: 3:34pm On Dec 31, 2013
Pipsland78: I have only two things to say about this:
1) Naming it "Preparation for Migration..." makes it sound only limited to the things we need to know and do before relocating to the US. I think it should be broader than that; why dont we make it more encompassing by naming it such that it entails how to start life over as a new migrant in the US. Starting life all over as a new migrant in the States should be the main concern at this point.

2) Again the proposed title suggests the thread is meant only for those with Diversity visa, I think the title should suggest the thread is meant for and caters for all new migrants to the US regardless of the type of visa. So I think the word "diversity" should not be included.

In the light of these, I would like to suggest "Starting Life in the US" or "Starting Life Anew/Afresh/Over in the US as a New Migrant" as the title of the new thread.

The new thread should deal with such issues as:
1) What to travel with (food, clothing, money, etc).
2) How to present oneself at the POE.
3) How to relate with one's host and what to expect from one's host. Some posters suggested splitting the bills with the host and bringing them foodstuff from Nigeria in order to endear them.
4) How to secure the green card in the US.
5) How to obtain the SSN.
6) How to get the driving licence.
7) How to obtain the national and state ID cards.
cool How to write an American CV ( I understand the US format is different from the Nigerian format).
9) How to hunt for jobs.
10) How to start a business in the US (I'm particularly interested in this as Igbo boy concern #winks#).
11) What kinda sch (private or public) and how to enrol in schools both for adults and for children.
12) How to apply for different benefits such as health insurance, loans, grants, scholarships, etc.

The list is endless and in order not to derail this thread, we need a separate thread to deal with these issues.

Just my humble opinion.

very reasonable suggestion.I had wanted to elaborate more on that topic i suggested ''life in US'' but because i did not have much time ,i couldn't elaborate. The topic suggested by pipsland "Starting Life in the US" or "Starting Life Anew/Afresh/Over in the US as a New Migrant" best identify the purpose of the new thread.I do hereby concur with pipsland topic.

komakan: LIFE IN AMERICA doesn't pass a message on what we are about to do. It signifies only what is happening in America. I guess we should go along with Obatide according to ITYROYAL. Pls I dont condemn ur initiative, we are just trying to brainstorm.
You are right.i do agree with you.
TravelRe: DV 2014 Winners Meet Here by samolaniyi: 12:16pm On Dec 31, 2013
ItyRoyal: @Thanks for this exhautive exposition....i give it to you that you are a true leader....thanks for not imposing a new thread on us but seeking the opinion and carrying everyone along. like i said in my earlier post on the subject matter, i do believe that creating a new thread to handle specific topics like the suggested one will not only fine tune our focus but will also bond us together even after we have all arrived America. Having said this, i suggest that Obatide can go ahead to create the new thread and make an elaborate publicity on the other relevant threads so that members will be fully aware of this thread and make their contributions and share their much coveted experiences with the forumites here.

@Obatide: since majority has accepted the creation of a new thread....please go ahead and adopt the topic you have suggested because it passes the message across to even a novice....truth is if you leave the topic for all forumites to edit or suggest....we may find ourselves in another dilemma. my good friend @komakan was the first to react to this post and he has also suggested a sound topic so by the time everyone of us will suggest, it might cause another logjam on which topic to name the new thread.....so my opinion is adopt "PREPARATION FOR MIGRATION AFTER DIVERSITY VISA APPROVAL!"

My plea however....let all active members of this thread whose visas have been approved not abandon this thread please.

god bless us as i wish everyone a wonderful new year ahead.
This is my own suggestion on the topic to be used.If we decide to use PREPARATION FOR MIGRATION AFTER DIVERSITY VISA APPROVAL,we will be limiting the contribution to travelling to US only, but if we use elaborate topic like:LIFE IN USA.it will cover travelling and other aspect of our lives in US.Any other topic that covers the total diversity like travelling, departure, arrival and continous stay in US would be fine. This is just my opinion not a compulsion.

akos123: Hi Everyone,
My wife won the visa lottery and we have been invited for an interview slated for Jan 10.I have gone through the checklist and have all the requirements but except the form 1-134.Please fellow NL is this form compulsory,If yes how do i go about it?Also being a beneficiary do i need to provide evidence of support.
Thanks you all whilst i count on your earliest positive response(s)
As a dv winner in Nigeria and Africa ,you and your spouse do not need form 1-134.its not a prerequisite for Africans

exteababa: 1. i will advice u not to carry any food at all, cos of immigration checks, not only at lagos but at your point of entry, most white folks dont know anything about our african food, and i bet u dont want any wahala....and most of these foods are here in african stores. there garri, dried fish, poundo, anytn u want. save yourself of immigration trouble and heavy luggage .
2. its winter already and its very cold, so get your boot, winter jacket, head warmer as jjc u can get gloves too cos u dont want to get sick atall, medical bills here is just too high. get thick long socks too. ALSO expect cold in your aircraft
3. career in USA, number 1 is any course thats medical 2. IT courses 3. Engineering, then others follow..........
4. driving procedure, i you have naija DL go with it, it may save you some money and test. if not your host will direct you to a DDS office where u will get your manual free, before you can do a road test u will need your SSN and state ID ( requirements vary from state to state) and immigration documents. you will do a computer test first then if u pass u will do a road test.
5. my dad is my host so am at home. but 1 thing about hosts is, here in USA, everybody bears his/her cross. so over dependence on a host can lead to 'throw out'. you can assist in paying some lil bills such as water, cable, electricity........etc, based on your capacity. but be smart, the more money u put down the more you host may depend on you too.
6.flight booking. i did direct flight with delta airlines and it was just smooth. remember to keep your brown envelop in u hand luggage, bring it out at your point of entry so they can know your 'special immigrant' wink and give you due service
last advice. be ready to come to USA only when u are ready, i.e be ready to study immediately you land or be ready to work, no room for 'iranu'
WELCOME TO AMERICA!
Thanks for the information.

many people had stated one or two reasons why we should not open another thread for the discussion, having said that,i think we should not open another thread for this one reason:many members and user /viewers only that are already in US may not be aware of this new thread. .However, those winner already in US would be the major contributor to the thread, and if they cannot contribute to the thread, the purpose would have been defeated. This is just my opinion.

yes you can get another passport by applying for another one with your old passport.you should go to the passport office with your sworn affidavit of change of name, marraige certificate and newspaper publication of change of name.Because if you dont change it,your GC and visa will carry your maiden name.
