The PPP which is private partnership what the Chinese do it give you loans then the Chinese government will construct the project to Chinese companies then you pay back the loan in 15 to 20 years time but the big catch is the project will be collapsed in less than 5 years so when the project is collapse you keep on paying the money back. Like Nigerian Airways and Elijah Steel plants we are still paying for them today. There is no free lunch anyway that's why Nigerians date is over 18 billion US dollar and Rising
Illiterate you still don't understand what PPP means

But where is our light rail
It is polictics that has held that project.. I do know that red line rail connecting marina to mile 2 should be ready soon... Projects like this are financed by FG all over the world not state govt. Lagos barely generate anything as revenue and it is the meager revenue she generated that is used in financing the project.. But there is hope, Lagos recently signed an agreement with "ALSTOM "a French consortium ( they have built so many light rail around the world) to complete it plus I read somewhere that world bank is funding the project..

Ambode bought 820+ last year a d sanwo Olu just bought 800 buses.

When I come here and talk the Nigerians do not listen here is my proof Lagos ibadan railway is only for passengers not for goods or cargo. All the trains which the Nigerian government purchase from China are passenger trains on the Lagos ibadan railway the railway cannot carry cargo goods as I told. This is one of the reasons why I like China when you want something loan they give you what you want. All the real ways which the Nigerian government is building is just for passages.. a government with no clear Direction.
You are probably the most dumbest person I have ever encountered. It is as if you don't read before posting.
We went to inspect some train cars which will be shipped down to Nigeria. Train cars are meant for lifting and conveying passengers not cargo.. room for cargos
are always created behind the train car....
Anyway good to see this.. I hope we go for the quasi-high speed train. The other one looks like Kenya caterpillar train...I don't want us having that, it's looks so primitive and archaic grin grin

It is real it is part of the Agenda 2063 to connect the whole of Africa by road and rail there is another road from Lagos to Dakar and Cairo to Mombasa and Lagos
I don't support road why not rails...it can convey goods and people faster...

Abeg they should connect that thing to Calabar and leave Lagos alone

Nigeria approves US $302m for road projects
By Emmalogo555 - Oct 1, 2019
Nigeria approves US $302m for road projects

The Federal government of Nigeria has approved US $302m for road projects in the country. Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola confirmed the reports during a briefing on the outcome of the Council meeting held at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa.

The Minister explained that US $220m will be used on the Ibadan-Ilesha–Ife dual carriageway project which upon completion, will connect Oyo and Osun states. The remaining US $82m will be spent on phase two of the Kano–Katsina dual carriageway, starting from Gidan Mutun Daya to Katsina Rolling Mill, Katsina State.

Road projects
The Kano–Katsina road was a single length highway until it was awarded in 2013 by the previous administration in phase one and expanded into a dual carriageway. US $553m was also approved for construction of link-roads, connecting the second Niger Bridge to Asaba and Onitsha.

“This completes essentially the access road that will link the bridge in the short time. These roads were under-designed when the bridge was awarded. Our administration completed the design and we have now awarded them. The roads were initially awarded under a Public Private Partnership (PPP) and the bridge in 2010 administration,” said Babatunde.

“What we have now done is to complete the award to the same contractor, so that there is a uniformity of construction,’’ he added.

Nigeria approves construction of Bakassi Deep Seaport

Nigeria approves construction of Bakassi Deep Seaport

Nigeria approves construction of Bakassi Deep Seaport
The Federal Government of Nigeria has approved the construction of Bakassi Deep Seaport which is currently ongoing. Cross River State Governor, Prof. Ben Ayade announced the report and said that the approval has paved way to launch the port on a commercial scale.
“We have got the official approval for the Bakassi Deep Sea Port Outline Business Case which means that the Nigerian government has now officially recognized the Bakassi Deep Sea Port and has given us the impetus to go for the full business case,” said Prof. Ben Ayade.

Bakassi Deep Seaport
The Bakassi Deep Seaport is to become the second trade port in Nigeria, after the Apapa port and would be the maritime gateway for the country’s landlocked northeast. This is because the rest of the ports are oil terminals.

The project development is supported by the interim transaction advisors, The Infrastructure Bank, and China Harbour. The project entails an evacuation corridor and a six-lane highway linking the port with the north. The proposed six-lane highway spans 162 miles across the length of the geographical space of the state from Bakassi in the South up to Northern part of the state which borders with Benue state in the North Central Nigeria.

The 20-metre-deep harbour will cost approximately US $800m, and will be built via a public-private partnership (PPP). Upon completion, the Bakassi port will reduce congestion faced in Lagos ports and the Onne West Africa Container Terminal in Rivers State. It will also aid in transportation of farm produce from the north to other parts of the country.

“The outline business case proposed a 20-metre-deep harbour for transnational shipping, making it “the deepest seaport in Africa,” said Governor Ayade
