Some of our buildings have won various architectural awards

The copycat britam tower and a few other like pwc are the only buildings worth my time,the rest are just hideous.

What's the difference? the south African one has colonial-style architecture while the Kenyan one has a more modern paradigm of architecture.

Your high rises are bland and hideous,there is no easier way to put it. Not all scrapes are worthy of anyone’s attention. All scrapes are not thesame just because they shoot into the sky. This things are grade by grade,level by level. Your scrapes are more synod with most buildings I have seen coming out from Bangladeshi and Mumbai,it’s can’t help compare with some of her sisters in China,Tokyo,Dubai,Seoul and the likes. They may be scrapes but architecture,modernity is what makes them stand out. SA buildings are more architecturally appealing from colonial style to modern high rises and scrapes.


The down to roads,rails, attention to details,beautification it’s all fabtabulous,Sadly I can’t say the same for Nairobi or anything in Kenya. If you are being honest with yourself,you will degree that most buildings in your cbd are of thesame basic standards with slumscraper popping up all over eastleigh, what differentiate them is a slightly better roads,maintenance and a little bit more orderliness.

i dont know what parameters you are using to measure different development levels .... i dont see much difference infact kenya has already nailed vertical infrastructure once we start focusing on horizontal developments eg pedestrian walkways etc then for sure we are going to be at their level

Abeg there is a wide difference. One looks first world and modern,the other looks basic and the usually mediocrity in Africa.

Even comparing it with the video you posted you can smell the difference and feel it. If you shuffled both cities and tell me to picking randomly,it’s would be very easy knowing Nairobi.
